Yes, the lyrics is pretty much about Amiya. She was about 14 yo when the story started and at that time she was already a leader of Rhodes Island (and Lord of Fiends). Had to face wars, battlefield, death of foes and enemies, and all the responsibilites as the leader. And even with all of those, Amiya still choose to keep marching forward and keep walking on this path, which is why the marching ending of the song.
@@Merotryzit's hard to see amiya's true deepnes by how she looks If you dig in her lore you ll find some pieces that round her character a bit When i started the game i had the same impression as you of her,she seemed so shallowl at first but i think hg did a good mc as the story pprogressed(shared mc with doctor and kal) Look at her birthday alone and that tells you a lot of amiya, also look at the black crown
As someone barely know anything about arknight, this song gives very powerful meanings that reach further outside of the game context into real world and might even resonate with a lot of people

God, I love the messages in Mili's songs. Another great song that shares some of those anti-war sentiments I would recommend is 'Dandelion Girls, Dandelion Boys', especially since it's also from a somewhat younger perspective, like that of a teenager/young man being drafted.
Hell Yeah Mili!!! Fyi Arknights Also Slipped Out A FIFTEEN Minute Long 3D Animation Called "The Daggers Inheritor" Highly Recommend Looking At The Pretty Thing
I know nothing about music.. but everytime mili upload i always wonder how the songs came to be.. how they convey another group's idea (story, emotion) and still deliver it with their best of abilities..
It'd be a VERY long video, so honestly I'm not sure yet. We're talking probably 45 minutes+ for that long of an animation. But someone has shown intent to force me too via Patreon perk so it might happen whether i want it to or not 😂
Hm. I cant quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, I dont think I really like this song. Dont get me wrong, I can fully see (or hear, rather) that the song is incredibly well-done, and the song also managed to make me cry, but for some reason, I just have this nagging feeling that I don't enjoy the song. Its strange, because its not like its a genre I dislike, and I usually enjoy Mili songs, but this one specifically I'm just not a fan of and I can't pinpoint exactly why. Well, this *is* only my first time listening to the song. Maybe listening to it more will let it grow on me.
Man, I've heard this song so many times after the Commemorative Animation, and every time I hear that "Where's our tomorrow? Where does our future go?", just breaks me. Being with Arknights since global launch and a big fan of Mili, finally seeing them do a song for the franchise took me by surprise and I was so happy for it. The animation itself was absolutely beautiful too, between the animators and the studios themselves that worked on it and the director whose done amazing projects with other franchises. That part shows well the kind of turning point that part of the story has along with the brilliance of the character itself having her imitating singing Mili's work in the production for a brief moment. Mili really does do an absolutely amazing job at being able to have a track that both incredibly fits the theme their music is placed to while equally able to stand completely individually on their own. It's absolutely fascinating. I really, really hope they collaborate again with Arknights at some point, can only dream we get an in-game track of their music one day!
Arknights story is depressing, The progression is also sad Most bosses that you fight are infected, same as you are, you understand their anger, you understand their goal even then, we still chose to stop them, even ended their lives It's a clash of ideal of people who share a common understanding and faction Arknights has a lot of good stories with a very strong messages. If you think this is anime story that has no message aside from friendship then you will be so wrong Arknights's lore is deep and realistictic, mostly took it from history it self But have that extra magical theme in to it But then the siege chapter came in and we though we could use that magic to save everyone We sacrificed so much to get that thing It's useless, we tossed it aside and we grabbed hammer to break the wall to save people That it self is magical story telling. It's not going to be relic, magic or hero that will save people It's a determination and will to spend all your power and strength To throw a dream away and wake up and grab that hammer in a mud and break the wall along with your comrades.

I could never took Amiya seriously tbh its like they try too hard on a little girl just for appeal
Its a beautiful song for a beautiful telling of a story.

Lost innocence is certainly a heavy theme in Arknights, and the way the price of ideals is paid in blood, often by those far too young
The question is not "Is Mili gonna cook", the question now is "What will Mili cook next?"
