Stormfront was racist towards A-train too. She says "the place used to be pure... then they started letting anyone in." She was outwardly talking about the church of the collective but she's really talking about how superheroes used to be all white but they started making non white supers, screwing up the original purpose of supers; a white Ubermensch race.
Yeh my take on letting A-Train in is keeping up the Corporate front of "we're all-inclusive" blah blah blah..... I think that's a Corporate "keeping up the numbers" thing (plus hiding the fact they're backed by Nazis :P)
Not to mention Melissa Menonous even said that most supers are white. And A train is being kicked out of the seven bc he's black. The medical thing just gives them a reason.
So I was in a accident febuary 2020 “my own fault” and suffered a sever tbi and was mentally recovering for 16 months and I wanted to say that I found your channel and I really enjoy it you guys are like my movie/tv friends lol just want to say you guys are great and keep it up and also congrats on the marriage 🙌🏻
The name "Stormfront" has two meanings, storm powers, and Nazi rhetoric. The character "Love Sausage" is a actual Boys character who does a more in comics, but that's a bit TOO MUCH for a show, so what we got is good enough. Stormfront made a big deal about A-Train but making it vague enough that she could defend her words as just talking about the Church
The backstory between Frenchie and Mothers Milk is heartbreaking. Dudes were so close, both excited over MM getting married and all. To see it go sour because Frenchie did what he thought was right when someone needed his help. Tragic. And the look from MM when he realises it too, he's hated someone he once loved like a brother for so long and it just fades. And Frenchie not forgiving himself. It's rough all around there. God I love Frenchie.
That's why his "you'll never punish him more than he punishes himself" line about Lamp Lighter hits the way it does -- because they're the same person (so to speak).
The dude with the snake dick is featured a lot in the comics. He is like a Captain America from the Soviet Union and his hero name is 'Love Sausage'. 🌭🤣
I'm a bit confused why it took until this episode for Holden to say for sure she's racist. It was made clear enough before this that she was racist it wasn't very subtle by that point lol
Well, A-Train is only superior through compound V. Since Stormfront is also a Supe (and I think a lot more powerful than A-Train) it just comes down to plain regular racism.
they literally showed stormfront killing someone and saying "i am a hero for killing a black piece of shit like you" how much clearer could it have been lmao
Not a movie, but there's a relatively big budget 10 episode live-action HBO Green Lantern show coming out soon! As someone who never read the comics, I knew pretty early on what StormFront was all about given what her name means having been alive in this world during the Internet age plus what she did to those black people in that apartment complex early on in the season, so I'm always a little surprised that some people had no idea!
and now The Deep is the best hero of the Seven(if he was a member) as Starlight just did something that means death-row or life in prison. She is bullet proof and could within second just charged him and he would have not have damaged her at all, but she made the choice to use her powers and end his life. All he did was protect his property, the one thing he use to make money(drive to or use in his job) so he could provide for his family. Starlight chose this way when she could have just walked up and disarmed him. Car owner was 100% innocent and I cant see any court(maybe if in California they let her out to end more people) that would not sentence her to life or death.
Considering the confusion of the situation, him having a gun drawn on them, and that she just meant to knock him back, not kill him, I could see it just being a manslaughter charge. Definitely not excusing her poor decision, but I could see her just getting 10 - 15 years in prison...
Can't believe it took them so long to figure out what her obsession with him is. She literally says it when they first met "wow you're eyes are really blue"..
I dont really get how Maeve gets any blame for the plane disaster. She went up there and did everything right. Homelander wrecked the plane and only Homelander had the powers to save anyone. What's Maeve gonna do to save anyone?
This was a great episode. Definitely thought like Holden about "Bobby" being Lamp Lighter... awesome actor choice (loved him in Locke and Key as well, another brilliant show you guys should check out). Such a shock finding out about Stormfront's Nazi past..... they kept that so so well hidden and had just sprinkled clues here and there throughout the series (also not forgetting she outright murdered a black man early in the series as Liberty). And that dude with the massive schlong was sooo funny, especially when he used it as a "weapon".,.... haha :) Last episode has my favourite moment out of the entire season in it, can't wait to see you guys' reactions to that :)
@@deeem2628 about to start reading the comics because of the show, and you're probably saying it's "awful" to you because you're comparing it to the comics.... if the comics are 100x better, then yes, of course it looks awful, but I really loved it..... it was awesome
Well, A-Train is superpowered, but in the previous ep she did say to him "then they started letting all kinds of people in... some people are quality and others are garbage", obviously referring to him. She isn't happy about hum being a supe, but injecting Compound V wasn't in her control throughout the last 70 years.
Stormfront seems to be racist in the traditional sense though that it doesn’t matter if your a super or not. She’s just plain racist. So I’m confused by what you meant towards the end. Maybe I’m missing something. Let me know. I see it as she’s stuck in that old time way of thinking but brought that to a more subtle modern way of manipulation.
Right, and I think they forgot about that scene in the last episode (maybe even ep4), where SF and A-Train were on set and she was telling him how they just started letting anyone in and that he knew what she meant
Racism is thinking your race is superior to others. But if A train is a supe who’s also superior to regular people why would u be racist towards him, just saying basically racism in this case and all cases are ass backwards and make no sense, like the logic behind it. Cause how are you still racist? If there’s black supes. A never ending dumb mindset is what I think the point was, could be wrong.
Great video as usual. This is one of my favorite episode from the show. I love the whole "hospital" arc with Frenchie and Lamplighter. And I love the bonding between Butcher and Starlight. Then Mallory confronting Lamplighter. As you said they started talking about it during season one and was finally revealed here. Also, I love the Iceman/Pyro thing. That's great casting, and the acting worked for me. Cheers from France! 🍻
My understanding of lamplighter is that Mallory recruited Butcher and the team originally. When her family was killed by lamplighter they broke up (like the Beatles). She stopped trying and keeps advising them to stop before they lose their families. It’s also the reason Frenchy and the other guy were fighting initially when they got back together. He blamed Frenchy for not protecting her family and why Frenchy reacted when he saw lamplighter again without the mask. This was a big reveal of two seasons back story to the Boys.
The big clue about Stormfront, is that the name is shared in the real world with an infamous Neo-Nazi website. Also, in the comic, the character was actually male and claimed to be a reincarnated viking with a powerset based on Thor. But ultimately they find out about him being a nazi experiment. But this doesn't take anything away from what Aya Cash did as the character. It's a completely new spin, but tied well to the source material with a few added bits that made the character MUCH MORE INTERESTING. No complaints here.
The year is 2032. "The Boys" is debuting its 12th season on Amazon Universal TV, which has been made available as a public access station by Overlord Bezos, the Supreme Ruler of Earth. Holden and Jen are eagerly to find out what happened to the 3rd Supe to take up the mantle of Stormfront, regardless of the fact that Jen still calls her "Stormwatch, okay Stormfront, whatever" . . .

This episode hinted that Stormfront never truly loved Homelander. She was just using him to fulfill her lates husband life purpose the same way Still-Water was using Homelander to become richer and more successful. Of course she considers Homelander, given the way he looks and the powers he has, the embodiment of her ideology. That s why she manipulated him in the first place.

The reason Starlight couldnt help Hughie by the prison wasn’t because they cut the power it was because of the guy who flipped the van…his power was an explosive blast that also acts as an EMP wiping out any electrical devices in his blast radius. Also they have hinted at Starlight requiring electricity…that’s why most of the time we see lights exploded or screens warping when she uses her powers.
Hey guys I am telling you should watch similar kind of show which is known as The Umbrella Academy that's also too dammn good superhero comdey series with less violence and great humor 😂😂😂😂😂😂🔥
I didn't know previously but people told me stormfront is the name of a white supremacist / racist website that's been around a while. The actress who plays Kimiko interviewed the stormfront actress on her youtube channel. She talked about how people online hate her and act like she's really a nazi but the actress is Jewish.
Imagine if there was a female version of that "peen serpent" guy. What would HER power be? I imagine her "v" would stretch super wide like how Kirby can stretch his mouth...? And she'd be able to consume people's entire bodies in herself. . . Uhh, I'll just stop talking now. Lol 😅
The thing you have to understand about the mindset of white supremacists/Nazis/etc is that they're very upset they only have most of the power and not *all* of it. Stormfront is very good at being subtle when she needs to be (eg, comments she made at A-Train and Starlight) but she's been doing a great job manipulating Homelander and it really makes you wonder how much Vought knows or cares about what they know.

lmaoo. MMs Meat Necklace 😂😂💀
Damn I forgot how good of an episode this was
Jessica Gold is really starting to get a hold of these names.
Stormfront and Stillwater are my favourite characters
Pretty sure if it had been under Stormfront's control, A-Train would not have been given V.
How many times of watching, I still always see Hugh Jackman as the head of the church...
The supe with the package was likely called Hardman. Family?

Where did Maeve get that footage from?
I didn't know previously but people told me stormfront is the name of a white supremacist / racist website that's been around a while. The actress who plays Kimiko interviewed the stormfront actress on her youtube channel. She talked about how people online hate her and act like she's really a nazi but the actress is Jewish.
8:03 Doctor Luka Kovač
great xmen pyro reference lmaooo
Stormwatch vs stormfront
Imagine if there was a female version of that "peen serpent" guy. What would HER power be? I imagine her "v" would stretch super wide like how Kirby can stretch his mouth...? And she'd be able to consume people's entire bodies in herself. . . Uhh, I'll just stop talking now. Lol 😅
I always have a hard time telling the difference between Shawn Ashmore and his twin brother.
Racism isn't just about physical superiority.
Hey Holden Hardman. Could you watch the Austin powers movies I would be epic 😂😂. Love the Channel!
It’s funny how in this show, Amazon is pissing of huge corporate run companies yet Amazon is literally the trashy company they’re depicting lol
Did you notice homelander has blond hair, blue eyes just how Hitler wanted the prime race to be and this could be why stormfront is attracted to him.
Ok
The thing you have to understand about the mindset of white supremacists/Nazis/etc is that they're very upset they only have most of the power and not *all* of it. Stormfront is very good at being subtle when she needs to be (eg, comments she made at A-Train and Starlight) but she's been doing a great job manipulating Homelander and it really makes you wonder how much Vought knows or cares about what they know.
If only Homelander was actually blonde Stormfront would like him even more
