  • This video will walk you through how to simulate a Rotman Lens with openEMS and Blender. You will learn how to take advantage of Blender's powerful capabilities for 3D modelling and mesh generation for creating openEMS RF simulations and visualizing results.
I will first cover how to use Blender to generate an antenna model from a basic image, setting-up ports and field dumps and other tips and tricks to ensure a successful simulation run. Then exporting meshes to openEMS and using Blender's python editor to write scripts to handle exporting ports and field dumps setup more efficiently.
Then I will touch on setting up the actual openEMS simulation in Octave, and then visualizing and analyzing the results in Paraview. Then using Python scripts to import the simulation results back into Blender and then creating a "geometry node" setup to create impressing visualizations and animations of the result.

my antenna design course has many openEMS examples: ruclips.net/video/kEdwACvFaBI/видео.html
Beautiful simulation! If some company create EM simulator capable render such things stand-alone without Blender - it would be a killer feature.
