Thrawn is so calculating. He used everything and everyone to his own end,far more than Palpatine did..because, in a sense he even used the Emperor to protect his own people by working with him,all the while making his own plans.

I also don't think that Ahsoka is mad at Sabine, disappointed but not mad. She understands why Sabine made the choice that she did, though in many ways she wish she hadn't. Both realize that know that in order to get Ezra back ,Thrawn might have to come back too.
Definitely Thrawn's army are Night Sisters zombies ..that is,they used their magic to create them.
Thrawn can not be trusted at anytime, even the Night Sisters shhould realize that too. Everyone is expendable for his ultimate purpose.
As for Huyang being the one telling us all the galaxy far,far away stories...I like that idea 😊

I gotta admit, but that was probably the greatest entrance anyone in this franchise has ever had. That was just so grand and chilling.
Admittedly, Disney has overall had a habit of having shows introduce big bad characters at the end of an epsiode only to kill them off an epsiode later(Wandavision, Book of Boba Fett, Loki, etc). I really did not expect not just to see this much Thrawn this early, not just having two full episodes and possibly more, but they also put Ezra in this episode?! And not just an at the end cameo setup for the next episode. They won't need to waste time on the intro in the next episode.
This was a lot of fun!
SN: as a fan, it warms my heart to see your channel grow, Jasmin. Keep up the good work! Look forward to the content!

Your insights guided by your knowledge of _Clone Wars_ and _Rebels_ is always on point! I think you are right about Thrawn's army being resurrected by the witch magicks. I also like what you said about Sabine getting more in tune with the Force by relying more on nature like the howler's senses instead of her gadgets. Looking forward to your reaction on the next one!

When I first saw the Howler, I noticed that it almost resembles a Loth Wolf 🐺, and the end credits do show what looks like a cave painting of a Loth Wolf or a Howler before they show cave paintings of the Purrgil 🤔. Loth Wolves are strongly connected to the Force, capable of limited speech, and can traverse the World Between Worlds to get to different places on Lothal very quickly. I wonder if the Howlers are similar 🤔? (Yes, I am well aware of Dave Filoni's fondness for wolves 😅.)

No, Ahsoka was really in the World Between Worlds. Anakin WAS there, he said to her "I've heard that before" when she said she wouldn't fight him his line references what Luke said to him (Ahsoka wouldn't typically know that Luke said that to Vader), that was Anakin's consciousness manifested as an entity inside the World Between Worlds.
Carson and the Ghost searched for awhile in their ships and couldn't find her body *not detecting any life sign*, then suddenly Chopper detected her.
Ahsoka would have drowned floating in the sea for an hour or more. It was only a part of herself flickered into *physicality* in the ocean later so that Chopper detected her.
She was mostly in the World Between Worlds metaphysically and partly physically, or else when they pulled her from the water she would have been coughing up water.

  • @angelasaunders3558

I think Anakin, when he said "there's hope for you yet" ,that he meant he had hope for her to not go down the darkside road as he had done.

Hey ATF! Great reaction and review vid as always. I liked the story you told of your idea of the time device that would have sent Ahsoka to the future. Would have been an interesting way to show why she missed the original trilogy. I also agree with you that a new season of tales of the Jedi should showcase Baylan and Shin. Anyways, another great episode. Be well. See you in the next vid. 🙂

    - For me Huyang talking about Galactic History Part 1-3 was a reference to the prequel (part 1), original (2) and sequel trilogy (3). With Ahsoka saying she (obviously) likes part 1 the best. In other words a meta joke for the audience.
    - In one of the early drafts for Star Wars I believe it was stated R2 is actually the one who documented everything from the Skywalker saga, and thus, is indirectly responsible for the _Journal of the Whills_ ("A long time ago, in a galaxy, far, far away" as well as the opening crawl).
    - This is the first time we get to see a different Star Wars galaxy in live-action. Luke was still on a planet within the local galaxy. Even Exegol, the planet Sidious was on in Ep 9 was in the Unknown Regions of the same galaxy.
    - We finally got a confirmation that the Dathomiri originated from a different galaxy entirely. This could explain why their dark magick is similar to the Force yet so very different.
    - The asteroid field you mentioned when the Eye of Sion was near Peridea was actually a purgill graveyard, with their bones floating around.
    - Personally I don't agree with Sabine's initial anger towards the howler that ran off during the fight. It's an animal. It has fight or flight instincts, and normally no loyalty towards its rider. If it believes it can't survive a certain hostile situation you can't expect it to stay around.

It's a lot to speak on in this 6th episode of Ahsoka. First I'd like to say, to you Ahsoka tano Fan-Jas your always a Lady with such class & Style! I think Ahsoka in 5th epi., had a near death experience which brought her to the netherworld aka spirit world and the world's between worlds, which would be not over, but a part & a level under the netherworld, thus seeing Anakin & completing the next level of Ahsoka's training, for what's to come next. I love seeing Baylan and Shin, their dialog between them is so interesting, their outlooks, perspectives, & insights about life, & what's taking place with Thrawn. I, like you Jas., would like to see a series with them both. Shine is so mysterious and fascinating. She's my fav., of the series! I think Shin, Baylan, Ahsoka, Ezra & Sabine are going to have team up against, Thrawn & his crew. Also Sabine she's wild, rebellious, and hardhead, but that's why we like her. I like that she used her light saber to defeat those Raiders, she was bad-ass. Thrawn is so wickedly cool, collected, & calculating, So opposite of Darth Vader, in persona. I Liked seeing the night sisters and the way their voices echoed, scary & menacing are they. Finally Ezra & Sabine reuniting was great, I think it's been 10 years, since they last saw each other, they may end up being a couple in season 2. I read Thrawn will be the major villain in the untitled Mandalorian Movie. I would love to see Huyang & C3P0 have a discussion in a future epi. 😂
Can we talk about that Golden star ship they were on! I want one! 😉👍

That gold shuttle was so great, showing the range of design in the galaxy. It looked like something from 1984 Dune and I want to see more. Ahsoka really delivers for the SW fans that love spaceships.

  • @MMWoodworking

The saying, “a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…”, comes from Lucas’ originally seeing SW as a story in a book, The Journal of the Whills (or Wills, not sure in the spelling), being read back from the future, but the canon seems to now be implementing it as the story of the origin of the Force, Jedi, etc, from this other galaxy.
The modern Jedi (as in after the original societies migrated to the main galaxy, albeit still thousands of years in the past of current day SW) seemed to have lost the knowledge of this other galaxy being real, or somehow let it be forgotten, and they saw it as a myth, a legend, a fairytale.

  • @oxhine
    @oxhine 11 месяцев назад

Hey, Jazmin! Lots of payoffs and lots of foreshadowing in an atmospheric episode.
Very cool META REFERENCE by Huyang quoting the franchise's opening lines, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away", which is how he opened his folktales to the younglings.
PERIDEA's rings are the bones of dead Purrgills! The planet is like an ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD for them.
Filoni just RET-CONNED the whole origin of the Nightsisters!
The LEGENDS CANON was the order was begun by a rogue Jedi 600 years in the past who set up shop on Dathomir and lured female colonists away from their families. The colonists were expelled and Dathomir became known as a witch-world. The adepts used their power to garner influence and their dangerous reputation ensured their isolation. Some pirates sold them Zabrak slaves with whom they interbred keeping the female children for the order and establishing a Nightbrother settlement for the males. The human-Zabrak hybrids of Dathomir were called Dathomiri-Zabrak like Darth Maul who was Mother Talzin's son. True Zabraks hail from their homeworld of Iridonia. By the time of the Clone Wars, all Nightsisters and Nightbrothers were Dathomiri-Zabrak hybrids. The Nightsisters debuted in the 1985 live-action TV movie "Battle for Endor".
The NEW CANON states the Nightsisters originated in this other galaxy and established outposts in the Star Wars galaxy before history was recorded pre-dating the RAKATAN INFINITE EMPIRE! This is a major deviation from established lore!
The three elders who greet the pilgrims are three known actresses named after the three FATE SISTERS of Greek mythology!
KLOTHOW is played by CLAUDIA BLACK of "Farscape" where she portrayed Aeryn Sun and "Pitch Black" where she portrayed Shazza. She is named after CLOTHO, the Fate who spins the thread of life.
LAKESIS is played by JANE EDWINA SEYMOUR of "Star Trek: Picard" where she portrayed the Borg Queen. She is named after LACHESIS, the Fate who measures out the thread of life.
AKTROPAW is played by JERYL PRESCOTT of "The Walking Dead" where she portrayed Jacqui and "Ray Donovan" where she portrayed Cherry. She is named after ATROPOS, the Fate who cuts the thread of life!
It's disorienting for LEGENDS fans to see LARS MIKKELSEN in the role of Thrawn because he is supposed to be a younger man with strikingly chiseled good looks and sharp cheekbones. However, I was prepped to accept the change by seeing "Rebels" and "The Witcher" where he played the wily mage Stregobor. It's good continuity keeping the voice actor and Mikkelsen did not disappoint.
CAPTAIN ENOCH with the gold faceplate is played by WES CHATHAM of "The Expanse" where he portrayed Amos Burton.
The troops are all bound by red Nightsister bandages and their cracked armor has been repaired using the KINTSUGI method of filling the gaps with gold lacquer. Thrawn says their numbers have dwindled and he's reluctant to commit too many troops to track Sabine. I bet these guys are mostly ZOMBIE TROOPERS like Marrok the Inquisitor.
BAYLAN and SHIN are the stars of the show! RAY STEVENSON is killing it in this part! What's calling out to this man? What do the Nightsisters wish to get away from? How can it break the cycle of war? Is it possible the YUUZHAN VONG are lurking somewhere nearby? I sure hope so!
EZRA BRIDGER shows up as EMAN ESFANDI with blue contacts and a beard looking very much like Ezra's pops from the cartoon images! Very good casting.
He and Sabine have an unpleasant discussion ahead.
The HOWLER's attachment to Sabine was very cute as were the nomadic NOTI Shell People.
The bandits looked like RONIN in their red armor.
What is the cargo being loaded onto the 'Chimera'? Nightsisters in stasis? Mummified Nightsisters? Nightsister relics? Nightsister treasure? We shall see...

I'm wondering if the Chimera will survive the journey back...I figured, when I first saw it that it will be attached to the Eye of Scion like the Jedi Starfighters used to use hyperdrive rings...! When the Eye dropped it was glowing on certain parts and the Chimera is pretty battered up already...the stress on the hull maybe too much...!
    🤔
And as for Sabine not destroying the orb thingy...I'm glad she didn't...the way it was being held, she would have blown her bloody hand off...! 😬

Thrawn for sure always like 10 steps ahead of everyone so no clue what he’s cooking. But he’s definitely cooking.
Baylan definitely has different motives and is up to no good. An evil greater than their own that he seeks? Can’t be good. Shin I think is also definitely starting to have her doubts about what her master is doing. She doesn’t seem 100% on board with this plan anymore.
Sabine good luck telling Ezra everything you did to get there. lol

Ezar is going to be far more powerful than anyone expects. He's been on this planet that is so connected to the force, and he has always been resourceful when on his own. He could have been able to develop his skills in ways that place him as a higher level force user. Thrawn couldn't find him and neither, it seems, the Night Sisters, who should have been.
Baylon has his own plans, not really a bad guy or good guy,but definitely looking for a different way. As for Shin,I think she'll probably drop off from Baylon at some point.

People who want a more fit looking Thrawn, seem to forget that he would be in his mid-late 60's, if not even 70 at this point in the time-line, so it looked like they have actually aged Mikkelsen (and his uniform) to make him look a bit older and less fit than he is.

    .
    .
    .
    .
In the Thrown novels he found cloning facility the Emperor had hidden and was going to create a clone army, enhanced by a fallen jedi clone. So an army of the dead storm troopers does fit with the concept of the original books even if different.

Ahsoka says that she didn't have enough time to train Sabine to make the right choice and that she was fated to make that decision. So u don't think she's upset at Sabine. If something I think she may be upset with herself and blaming herself for the choice Sabine made. She was the one to walk away from Sabine. Perhaps she might think that if she hadn't left Sabine would be further on her training and she would have been able to make the "right" choice
