Nice work mate, our state laws do make it hard to wash some dirt, but a rocker is a top bit of kit for a low flow spot the more we can wash the better we do. we love your work. Cheers Alicia & Steve

yes it does take some detecting to get gold rings I did get one on my videos Treasure island part 2 1900 old one with a sapphire still intact that was a good day lol
Thank You so much for going to the effort to make this tape - One of your best - You are remarkable at the amount of gold you find. I wondering how you chose the specific site from amongst that large area ? Was it the early part of an inside bend , or was there some sort of obstruction there - and why there as distinct from say , 3 metres in any other direction ?
On this video i didn't have the time to test pan a great area to have a go ,But put through enough buckets to get 0.7 of a gram just for the video. It was an inside bend but high up
That's some nice gold from the rocker box I can 100% garrentee that sluice is blowing gold out the back of it the flair is far to big for the capture area you only need a foot of flair and probably another 2 foot of mat
Thanks I'm sure your right there. Looking back at my dredging days in the 80s we made an underwater dredge it had a small riffle tray at the back most of the gold was in the first 4 riffles but i do think it blue some out
I think I have been on that bend, or one just by it. Not alot of gold but it's not hard to find. loving your vids mate iv been going through older ones. Waiting for your next video anxiously!
I've been making all kinds from bathroom wall cladding and I'm thinking that would be a good material to use for a rocker box. It's really strong and hollow plastic so really lightweight too. I can't carry much weight so might be worth trying to build one. Will have to use wood for framework to attach it to but the sides will be much lighter.😉💛👌
Some nice looking shiny in them pans I wish we had the same quantity here in the UK but we have some of the rarest gold in the world so its worth more. Nice video and I'll sub you back look forward to the next one.
If u have Messenger we can video chat and i can show u the insides of the rocker ,As u have seen with the 4 gram challenge u can put a lot through quickly and there is no loss of any gold
Hi Glen, just found your channel after I got a message you'd sub'd to mine. Just watched this one and loved the old time rocker (and jealous of all the big gold your creek gives up). I don't know why I've not run across your channel in all the searches I've done here for panning, prospecting, etc, but glad I found it. You got one more sub.
Hi Greg, I enjoy your videos. Would like to see you test the two methods properly. You could do a re-visited episode. To test the two you might start with a larger sample and after thorough mixing on a flat tray you run the sample through a soil splitter (Or quarter it down manually according to AS1289 (I can tell you how, it's easy)). Run the two halves of the sample through each procedure. Given the rarity of gold within the sample, a large sample would prove to have a greater chance of accuracy. Just a thought. As a Level 5 soil testing Consultant I guess you could say that I know dirt stuff.
How hard would it be to make a simple trolley using a couple of bicycle wheels that the box could sit on ? As long as the terrain is not too overgrown , a trolley can easily negotiate 20 kg's or more
Nice upload Glenno 👍 Bit of water down the Turon this year. I might have to ditch the detector and do some underwater crevassing. The sight of a 50yr old out of shape man in full length rubber would be enough to scare of any competition 😂
Yes was there 2 weeks ago river was to high and a bit discolored and the creeks were up as well, my plan was to detect but monster played up lucky for warranty other detectors at home I did find a gully to play in and did a great loner video not out for a couple of weeks I hope lol u might know the spot maybe
Belated comment here, but given the waterflow, it looks like one could place a basic Keen A52 (riffles + carpet) -- and/or any sluice requiring less flow -- and just chunk out shovels via sluice w/o mucking aroung w/the cradle. My dos centavos, plus coming from an area w/minimal summer water. Cheers, regardless!
