All those Quokka's were eating Morton Bay Fig Tree leaves which are not native to the island. Rottenest Island Tea Tree's is the preferred food of a Quokka.
I had a disaster on Friday 13th last week - flooding in my apartment, water coming down from the apartment above mine, through my ceiling, etc. Luckily, my living room was spared, but my bathroom, kitchen and hallway weren't. The water was coming down from about 7pm on Friday, through to about midday on Saturday, as two of the tenants in one of the other apartments refused to have the main water supply to the house (which has been converted into 5 apartments) turned off, and it was only turned off when the landlord (who doesn't live locally) turned up to try to fix whatever the issue which, to some extent, he was able to do so he was able to stop the water (but the flood was due to a broken boiler that needs to now be replaced). I had to literally spend those 18 hours or so mopping up as much of the water coming through my ceiling as possible, having put out many saucepans, a big bucket, some bowls, etc, to put under as many of the locations in the ceiling that the water was coming through, and constantly having to run between my kitchen and bathroom to empty and then put them back , plus I was mopping up as much of the wet on the floors, using soaked towels, as I could, trying to prevent all that water from going to my living room. All the while the water was coming down onto me as well, soaking me through to the skin, soaking my hair, etc. Yet still, the idiot neighbours in one of the flats refused to have the main water to the house turned off (it would have all stopped then), which they had no right to do but they became threatening and abusive to me if I tried to turn it off. Both my arms, hands & shoulders now hurt from all that wringing out of towels, constantly emptying the bucket, pans, etc, for hours on end SO I needed cheering up big time. I knew watching a Quokka video would do that and this one definitely has put a smile back on my face! 🥰 If only all humans were as nice as animals are though. No wonder many people prefer animals to other people (I'm one of them as a some people I've come across at various points turn out to be obnoxious a**holes!). 😞
Not sure what culture you’re from, but They’re“he” or “she” , not “it”. Animals deserve to be humanized and you need to highly regard them and treat them with respect.
