Also Uruguay won the Under 20 World Cup, none of those kids are playing in the main national team. The only way your NT would be able to have a remote chance to go into semi-finals is if it wins its group over Uruguay, so it doesn't have to play Brazil in the QF and play with the second best of Group D, which, on paper, should be Colombia.
Has Lalas seen Uruguay play? They run like cheetahs. Their midfield could be argued to be one of the best in the world at the moment. They have the captains of Real Madrid and Barcelona on their squad. The best #5 in France with Ugarte. Darwin is the leading scorer in WC Qualifying. Because of their speed, their counter attack is deadly. Their high press is incredibly effective as their opponents don't even have time to breath let alone try and break out. They are defensively sound as Uruguayan teams have always been and have the ability to win the ball back quickly. They can play very physically as well if that is what the game warrants. All this in just 5 games under Bielsa. Their top players are 22-25 years of age and waiting on the wings are their entire Under 23 World Cup Champion team. This team is good already but has the potential to be scary good by this coming summer. This is a team preparing for the the next WC, not just the Copa America. Uruguay should look at Cavani if Suárez is a problem or can’t physically go. Cavani has been such an underrated and under the radar striker and a team first guy
I wouldn't say Cavani has been underrated at all. He's one of the top scorers for Napoli and PSG and secon in goals in Uruguay only to Suarez. Uruguay just got the two best strikers of our history at the same time. I love Cavani, but Suarez is better. And they are both 36 yo. It's Nunez' time now. And he's looking very fit with Uruguay!
@@Pabimra85 agreed it’s Nuñez time. Agreed Suárez has been better and is better. I’m just saying Cavani has less of an ego and would be a team first guy. Suárez has an ego and could be a locker room problem if he isn’t more team first
@@giles815 I agree with you there, though I think there is a caviat to be mentioned there. Suarez has an ego no doubt that is clear given his interviews and social media posts, but within the team he actually is a team player. Nuñez has mentioned relentlessly how much support he has received from Suarez. But still, I'm with you and Bielsa on that one, if there is even a chance that a Suarez presence in the locker room could throw a wrench into how Uruguay is functioning right now.... A 36 yo Suarez will end up doing more harm than good. Even if he is top 5, number 9 strikers in History.
@@giles815 moving to a US player. It's really a pity that Gio Reyna is not getting more minutes at BVB. What a player! He could be elite if he gets a bi more experience and more minutes! Thoughts?
We don’t have a good coach to help the player to get to the next level. So we shouldn’t expect much in copa America. We just don’t have that coach, and we are the underdog in the copa America.
If there is an inclining? (Lalas is a questionable expert and I am using that term loosely)... what about Gregg is not an inclining? He has the greatest talent in the region and still was not dominant. The only time the US looked dominant was when BJ was the coach and since then, when Gregg returned and had 3 international windows... the US at best underwhelmed or just flat out disappointed. I think the US should have gone with a different coach because Gregg was not working.
Don't blame the coach when they lose Alexi, the skill level is just not there. Expectation is low because skill level is low. Alexi, what did you ever win during your playing years?
There's no scenario where USA beats Uruguay, Uruguay wins easily 3-1, 3-0. USA might be Panama and hardly Bolivia. USA will go through because they'll make 4 points maybe and Uruguay will beat everyone.
The problem whit the US National teams Is that they have no pressure yo win. Bolivia Is a good team Uruguay you can be very scare and Panamá Will do every thing yo Best the us
I get it, you have to look confident so your people come out to the stadiums and support the USA. But in reality, you can already book that "L" against Uruguay and then you're off to a game with Panama who we've seen is no easy task for USA and then it's Bolivia who "they say" is the weakest team of them all here and if your players are also thinking that way that's whats gonna bite you in the @ss.

not scared of Uruguay? That's because you (Lalas) have historically over valued the US teams. Have you not seen what their players have been doing in the European leagues? Yes, they are definitely batter than the Netherlands. If it wasn't for the refs, gifting them a win vs Ecuador, Netherlands would not have advanced in the WC. Stop it.

Brasil is not doing that well. This is the time for the USA to make history. I do not know for how long Brasil will be doing this bad, so this is the moment.
England and Spain playing home couldn't beat Brazil in the worst moment without 5 or 6 players, with players from the local league in the squad, with a new coach and with 17 years old kid on the pitch. Good luck to US on this making history thing.
Players that are respected at an international level: Christian Pulisic Folarin Balogun Gio Reyna Sergiño Dest Tyler Adams Weston McKennie Ricardo Pepi Tim Weah Both goalies… this is a respectable team! This aint a team led by Landon Donovan, Beasley and Altidore anymore.
Keep in mind South American teams even though they are realky good they dont have the resources neither the specific diets or physical therapist.
We have the player pool to win group C but we lack the coach with the ability to get everything out of that player pool.
Can they? Yes.
Will they? Maybe. Maybe not lol
I think the US should have gone with a different coach because Gregg was not working.
they would play Colombia in the next round. Colombia is better than usa
That ginger getting to Alexi 🧠 USA doesn't stand a chance against Uruguay they will get smashed
Don't blame the coach when they lose Alexi, the skill level is just not there. Expectation is low because skill level is low. Alexi, what did you ever win during your playing years?
😂 USA will be lucky to come out of this group. Can they beat Uruguay? Absolutely NOT!
Can they beat Panama? I seriously doubt they can beat Panama.
This guy has not seen Bolivia played watch how they get surprised 😂😂
There's no scenario where USA beats Uruguay, Uruguay wins easily 3-1, 3-0. USA might be Panama and hardly Bolivia. USA will go through because they'll make 4 points maybe and Uruguay will beat everyone.
Agree with the great Mosse.⚽
Gio rena and sergino dest is the best is the best machine ever play the game too as we recognizing paraguay
The only thing I dislike about UD football players is they paly hurting others not a clean way to play.
Urugay have a lot talentd who re playing in good club in europe
I think usmt ll good advanced from
The groupe urugay ll gouoe winner
El Dr Tavares!
Usa will be fighting for 2nd
Panama advancing 2nd
The problem whit the US National teams Is that they have no pressure yo win.
Bolivia Is a good team Uruguay you can be very scare and Panamá Will do every thing yo Best the us
I get it, you have to look confident so your people come out to the stadiums and support the USA. But in reality, you can already book that "L" against Uruguay and then you're off to a game with Panama who we've seen is no easy task for USA and then it's Bolivia who "they say" is the weakest team of them all here and if your players are also thinking that way that's whats gonna bite you in the @ss.
Come on alexis be real dont comment with feelings , uruguay will go tru , though panama for US n a conmebol team. If you pass you will face brazil , game over. Be real man . I know you are inyecting confidance on US , but be real .
not scared of Uruguay? That's because you (Lalas) have historically over valued the US teams. Have you not seen what their players have been doing in the European leagues? Yes, they are definitely batter than the Netherlands. If it wasn't for the refs, gifting them a win vs Ecuador, Netherlands would not have advanced in the WC. Stop it.
uruguay lost to fance not portugal in 2018
Group C teams, you all one job... group this US team.
Bro These Americans
Uruguay smoking 4-5 past US
They be second and they can thank god after whatever happens in the tournament
This is Copa America , Not your everyday Wednesday gold Cup
People die here , players make their career here and careers are destroyed
This is more than just soccer
We need gio Reyna playing bigger team maybe man city or madird
This group is easy for both Uruguay and the U.S.!
After getting a taste of USA players in MLS, I hope that Suarez' doesn't also get a hunger for them and start biting our guys.
USA can win their group it if they bring their A Game but the most important thing is just Qualifying for next stage.
mucho entusiasmo yankee...
@@Canibal_2384 😮🤯🤭🤣🤣
USA winning the group? You are either dreaming or drinking real bad booze.
Brasil is not doing that well. This is the time for the USA to make history. I do not know for how long Brasil will be doing this bad, so this is the moment.
Winning against a brasil that's playing tras compared to their best would mean nothing, it would be like lying yo yourself saying you're as good
England and Spain playing home couldn't beat Brazil in the worst moment without 5 or 6 players, with players from the local league in the squad, with a new coach and with 17 years old kid on the pitch. Good luck to US on this making history thing.
There is Noway GB will win any games
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇮🇶🇮🇶🇮🇶🇮🇶
They will come in second at best lol
You look like you still 9 years old. 😁
United States goes last.
You all should be scared of Uruguay
I love Lexi!
They are lucky they are playing in their own ground let the U.S go and play Bolivia at home lol they will get swept
Team usa must be in the final. No more excuses please.
Heh. Even if you pass the group stage, you have to win to Brazil/Colombia next. None of them easy to beat
We have a good team, will be ready to put up a fight.
@@abegebreys514and you lose in the cause
But tyler Adams gara play this game to win it all, cause usmt needs a great defender like tyler Adams
Alexis the racists...
Men usmt is loaded with all stars and i don't see the reason why they won't beat other teams.
What players you consider stars?
Players that are respected at an international level:
Christian Pulisic
Folarin Balogun
Gio Reyna
Sergiño Dest
Tyler Adams
Weston McKennie
Ricardo Pepi
Tim Weah
Both goalies… this is a respectable team! This aint a team led by Landon Donovan, Beasley and Altidore anymore.
@@AB-lm6dy😂
jajaja .. guys you are delusional !
Alexis is a MAGA lover
You guys are delusional if you think you can win this group and if you go in with this arrogance even Panama can beat you
This aged poorly.
Alexis lalas is very unrealistic
Keep in mind South American teams even though they are realky good they dont have the resources neither the specific diets or physical therapist. These players played with no expensive best shoes or energy drinks like Messi mention he doesn't agree withvtaking all those weird energy drinks he was offered at Miamis team
Anything can happen now we will see.
The dumbest and most racist comment I ever read.
USMNT WORLD CUP WINNER. Fix is in. Don’t sweat small stuff like Copa America
😂😂😂, wait for the surprise
🤡
🤡
USMNT shouldn't be in COPA AMERICA.. typical of them to try and take what was never theirs 😂
Yanks are deluded, your team is average.
