THE PURPORTED DECLARATION OF ASSEMBLY SEATS VACANT BY PRO WIKE SACKED LAWMAKERS & THE REQUEST FOR GOV. FUBARA TO REPRESENT THE 2024 BUDGET: HEIGHT OF POLITICAL STUPIDITY AND DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
Spokesman of the Coalition of opposition lawmakers Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere has described as laughable and dead on arrival the reported declaration of the seats of the sitting members of the Rivers State Assembly vacant by the sacked pro wike lawmakers.
Hon Ugochinyere in a statement in Abuja also dismissed the decision by the Amaewule led sacked lawmakers for asking governor Simi Fubara to represent the 2024 budget to the Assembky as unconstitutional and attempt to undermine democracy and rule of law.
According to him Amaewule and 24 other pro Wike lawmakers remain sacked and lacked the legitimacy to function as lawmakers for the state '. He said the desperation by the Amaewule led sacked lawmakers to return to the house was only by their pay makers to impeach the governor ,insisting that no such attempt will be resisted by thr people of Rivers State
Hon Ugochinyere who represents Ideato North and South in thr House of Representatives insisted that the 25 pro Wike lawmakers would never have their way back to the seat since the judgment that removed them from the House stil subsist.
According to him the pro Wike lawmakers LACKS THE CONSTITUTIONAL LEGITIMACY TO DECLARE THE SEATS OF RIVERS LAWMAKERS LED BY OKO JUMBO VACANT INCLUDING THE ILLEGAL REQUEST FOR THE RE-PRESENTATION OF ALREADY IMPLEMENTED RIVERS 2024 BUDGET- OPPOSITION LAWMAKERS COALITION
