I’m going to be totally honest here. You ask what is our favorite thing about this video……. I absolutely love just how relaxing you sound when explaining anything. It’s been 2 years and 3-1/2 weeks since I’ve really crafted. My husband would sit at the kitchen table and just watch and help pick his favorite colors and just almost get so involved with the crafts. Lost him just over 2 years ago and it just hurts so much to even try to start up again. However, I did make thank you cards for everyone that pitched in on donating since his death was so unexpected. So Jennifer, it’s all about your voice for me. It really helps me to reminisce my memories of him and I crafting together ❤
❤❤❤💔
I just would like to send you a big virtual hug. What you are going through is so hard. One day you will craft again. ❤
I’m so sorry for your loss. I agree with the above person, someday you will get your crafty mojo as Jennifer calls it back. Maybe craft somewhere besides where you did it with him? Prayers to you.
So sorry for your loss I also lost my son and cannot craft anymore I will be giving my stuff away and I have alot hugs to you
@@judycowles9768 That’s so sad. I wish for you to heal & rekindle your crafting & find your joy knowing how much he loved watching you create! 💖
I love how the main thing she always repeats is that you have to have fun, crafting is supposed to make you happy and to remember that its also supposed to make other people happy, so you have to send the cards. Its the joy she always transmits when she does the videos, joy in your crafting and joy that you sent to others. So important to remember this.
I love seeing Jennifer! 😊 But seriously, I think my favorite part was her reminder that you are doing this to make someone smile and feel loved. Perfection is not required for that.
xoxo
I appreciate the reminders that this is supposed to be fun, not to put too much pressure on ourselves, and each card doesn't have to be completely new. There are a lot of oldies but goodies techniques out there that we shouldn't forget.
My favorite part is her tip of creating a lot of greetings and keeping them handy. I also like how she keeps reminding us to mail those cards.
Cardmaking is supposed to be Fun! That is my favorite reminder from Jennifer. Crafting is not supposed to be a competition nor stressful, so relax and focus on what you love to do. well said Jennifer
I think the best part of the video was the unabashed joy Jennifer has in creating and helping others to create. Also, zero waste dies - Who knew!?!
Whatever you’re making will make the person you’re giving it to is made to make them smile!!
I loved the reminder that it's okay to remake something you've already made, that every card doesn't have to be completely different with all new techniques.
Always enjoy watching Jennifer create and the reminder that people enjoy our creations - no matter if simple or very involved. It's truly the fact that someone is thinking of them.
I love how passionate and calm Jennifer is - I really feel like I can and will do the project. She is the GOAT for a reason
My favorite part was Jennifer telling us to play & figure out what we like to do best- and focus on that! Jennifer always has amazing inspiration, tips & tricks- and is an incredible teacher & mentor-truly one of the goats!
The reminder of just playing with products and techniques, it’s what usually gets me going when I’m not feeling inspired.
My favorite thing about this video is to remember that it doesn’t have to be perfect and that we’re making this card to make someone smile.
I like the idea of sitting down and just playing with whatever supplies you want. It takes the pressure off of creating a complete card, and helps learn what supplies can actually do.
I could listen to Jennifer all day long - she always, always inspires me, and I so enjoy listening to her talk about her process, her craft room, how she makes her cards - really, I just love listening to her. I've been following her for years and years and never get tired of her videos.
My favorite part was just seeing Jennifer consistently encourage through the years. One thing she says often is to do what you love and don't feel guilty about not doing something else. Basically, find your niche and do it for the joy of doing it.
It has really helped me to just cut card bases when I’m feeling sad or anxious…I get such a sense of accomplishment ! Then I may ( or may not) try making a batch of sentiments….then I start thinking about friends and family who would smile if they got a card from me in the mail…card making is a lifeline.
I loved the banter here: J: "I have issues" Voice from off: "You have passion".
Excellent video from my queen of crafters!
I appreciate the reminder to have fun and not insist on perfection.
I like the fact that "It's supposed to FUN"... and not stress out on the process!! 🤗
My favorite thing about this video is when Jennifer inspire to envoyé how to enjoy cardmaking and trying out techniques.
My favorite thing is when she said it’s about the fun of creating. It does t have to be perfect.
I really liked seeing Jennifer mention putting sparkle on everything. Her eyes and face became sparkly just talking and thinking about it.
I like the reminder of card drives…..all your creations used to brighten someone’s day!!!
My favorite part of this video was her recommendation about thinking about the person I am making the card for, and to not stress about it being perfect.
Any advice from Jennifer is my favorite part ... She's so real, creative, talented and joyful 🥰. She earned the GOAT title!
I really like the part where Jennifer shows that she die cuts things ahead of time. I do that with sentiments, so I almost always can go to my sentiment file and find something that fits. It’s a real time saver!
My favorite part is when Jennifer showed her millions of zero waste die cut flowers! That's quite an investment of time and product.
The reminder to create sentiments when my mojo has gone missing is so impactful!
I think that the best advise from Jennifer in the video was not to worry about doing things perfectly or making a perfect card. I've always been a perfectionist and I have even more trouble since my accident.
yes!
I love how Jennifer shares her experiences, ideas, tips, and tricks. Watching her create is both relaxing and inspiring!
My favorite moment in the video was Jennifer’s little nod to coffee. 😁 and the calm down and enjoy the process!
I love her tips for when you are not feeling crafty.
I like that Jennifer reminded us to think about who we are making the card for, think of them during the process and be sure to actually send the cards....it really makes peoples's days when they realize how much tought you put into the card, for them.🙂
Seeing Jennifer through the years! Reminding me to have fun and have patience.
I love Jennifer’s kindness and calming voice! She is amazing at mentoring newbies in the industry ❤❤
Best part was remembering watching JM when I first started crafting and how much she helped me in my card making journey.
My favorite part was seeing all those big bags of die cuts! Go Jennifer! You are ready to make a card for any occasion in no time flat!
I liked seeing Jennifer's stash of flowers from the zero-waste dies and the storage pouches she uses for them!
I love watching Jennifer. She give the best advise. My favorite advise this time was to take your time and have fun making cards and to share them with others.
Hello Jennifer, I have watched for years, and you never disappoint. I agree this crafting is supposed to be fun, and relaxing, it is art and there is no wrong way to do something. Try new things!
Favourite part is to remember to have fun. I may just have to make a sign that says that and put it on my desk as a reminder.
I love all of these ideas, but my most favorite would be getting your family involved in making cards.
What I liked about video:
Focus on what you enjoy doing after experimenting to find what you might like to enjoy making.
Jennifer is truly the GOAT. She is the best thing in the video! Thanks for the compilation!
"To experiment and learn, but figure out what you ENJOY doing" is the best advice. So funny what I was just thinking of Jennifer and an online class I took from her many years ago! I haven't been paper crafting for a long time, but am beginning to pick it up again.
I enjoyed the validation the Jennifer provides to this hobby.
My favorite part of this video was listen to all of Jennifer’s great advice.
Of all the fantastic advice that Jennifer gave my favorite bit of advice remember “to send those cards” and “to send this kindness out into the world.” ♥️
I appreciate the support that Altanew offers and it is always a pleasure to listen to Jennifer .
I loved all of the hints but I think my favorite was to have fun while you are crafting. Jennifer's videos are one of my favorites to watch while I am in my craft room. Thank you Jennifer for everything you do. You're great!
Favorite part was the part about going back and looking at favorite cards.
I love the idea of creating sentiments ahead of time and having a stash to pull from.
I love your honesty and humbleness. Your experience and demonstraighting is like having you hold our hands.
As a daughter of an engineer, you are a 'blob of oil on the cog of life.' When I see a new post, from you, it's a great day.
Thank you, Jennifer. Xx
The best and hardest advice for me is, it doesn't have to be perfect! It is supposed to fun and stress free.
Love seeing Jennifer just talk to crafters! But what I lived the most was the word RELAX !!!... and shot with about the card being perfect. 😘
I love the second reminder! Our cards are made to bring someone love and joy ❤😊 it doesn’t have to be perfect! 🥰❤️
I appreciated the thought of focusing on what you enjoy doing as a crafter-I don't have to make what others make.
Love Jennifer's comments about doing what makes you happy and to think about the recipient of the card would like.
Do what you love and love what you do.
My favorite part of this video is , just simply hearing Jennifer's great crafty advice , because that makes me want to get my stuff out and start making cards . Thanks Jennifer & Altenew for getting my mind to work 🙂
Let go of the pressure to do something new! YES! I needed this reminder. Thank you, Jennifer!
I really liked all the tips and ideas, I think the most important one after making lots of cards it’s to send them out and not leave them in a pile.
I love anything Jennifer shares. She has such a gift and we are so lucky to be able to learn from her!
I really enjoyed the part in the beginning about not having to be perfect with your card nor does it have to everything on it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when making cards for people. I am always worried that they won't like it. It was good to have that reminder as well from Jennifer, that a hand made card will bring a smile to their face.
My favorite part of this video is Jennifer! She has great advice, and I love listening to her anytime possible.
Favorite part: do what you enjoy... and send the cards out! 😊
I liked seeing Jennifer’s “zero waste flower die” pile 😉
I love all of Jennifer's video.
The tip to remember the purpose of the card and it doesn't have to be perfect stood out to me.
I had two favorite parts of Jennifer's video. The first was to remember to have fun. Sometimes I get so hung up on things that making a card becomes more work than fun. The second is to send the cards I make vs. hoarding them. Come on, we ALL do it to some degree.
Truly - Jennifer is the best part of the video for me. Her advice about perfection (not necessary!) is so true. It's freeing.
I love everything Jennifer McGuire. I started watching her RUclips videos several years ago and wouldn't miss a one. She shares such creative techniques. I have definitely expanded my card making ability thank to Jennifer.
I love all Jennifer’s advice, so to pick my favorite is tough. I do love that she stresses the joy of creating when making a card!
Jennifer has the most calm, soothing voice. When I'm stressed and have no creativity, i find one of her youtube videos to watch. I do like all of her tips, but especially #7, 3 important things when i am creating a card.
What a brilliant idea to put together a compilation of her seasoned advice!! I think it would be absolutely amazing to put into one from all the people who have been touched so positively by Jennifer. I think they would need several stadiums…….
I really liked all the tips but my favorite was the tip about thinking about who you are making it for. I believe that is really important.
I love Jennifer and I loved the reminder that nothing needs to be perfect!
I liked Jennifer's tip about having patience! Definitely not one of my strong suits!
My favorite part or advise was when Jennifer said "Remember that it's supposed to be fun". I think I put too much pressure on myself to try to be "perfect" and if I mess up, it takes the joy out of it. I am going to remember that and appreciate the advise! The whole video was great tho :)
Favorite thing is remembering that the card is for someone. Hopefully someone you love/appreciate/love. So trying to tailor it a bit to what you know about them goes a long way. That is why I like altenew, because some of my favorite people adore flowers. ❤
I enjoyed Jennifer talking about all the different aspects of crafting 😊😊
To remind us we don’t have to be perfect and to do what we enjoy to do. ❤
favorite part: just listening to Jennifer. she if the GOAT for sure. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
I need to remember to have fun! I always overthink and get too serious about it. Thanks for the reminder!
Love Jennifer! Lots of great tips. My favorite is to remember to just enjoy it and it doesn’t need to be perfect to make someone smile.
I thought the overlays with the quotes were a nice touch to the video. All of Jennifer's advice is spot on! Love all the die cutting she does!
My favorite advice is to remember the card’s purpose. Don’t get so stuck on having to be perfect. I’m also a fan of involving family in holiday cards. My daughter helped make a card last holiday season when she was home from college ❤
I just love listening to Jennifer - the whole video long! Who needs ASMR (is that what it‘s called?!😂) or a favourite part? Thank you for sharing this!
I really like the reminder to give your cards away.
I think you need to keep in mind that you do this for your joy. Yes, you really appreciate it when others like what you do, but it is more about exercising your own creativity. JMcG is pretty transparent about her struggles with artist block, and what she does that’s helpful when it happens to her.
I think what I like the most about her advice, is how generously it is given.
I adore the advice to ‘play more and experiment with new techniques’! I usually feel the need to produce a card. I need to play and experiment more. Thank you to Altenew and Jennifer!💞
Jennifer has such a soothing voice. I could listen to her all day. But my favorite thing about this video...how all of these videos were compiled from other videos to make one big list. I love that. Everything in one place. Plus, having Jennifer's lovely voice on these videos is also a plus! Thank you all so very much for this inspirational video. It really helps when your mojo is playing tricks on you or your creativity is taking a vacation! LOL 😁🥰
My favorite part of this video is the encouragement to just do something not necessarily make a project start to finish, but perhaps cut out some shapes or color some stamped designs or make some backgrounds. It actually gives me a better reason to open the door to my craft room and be creative even though the outcome may not be a finished project today. Today I've decided just to go into my craft room and look through my stamps and dies because sometimes I have forgotten what I actually have.
As Jennifer made the comment about not needing to be perfect, I thought about cards I have made for specific people and how I hoped it would make them feel good. To visualize a smile when they open it warms my heart I do tend to like to do a lot of the same thing and then finalize later so it’s fun to watch Jennifer as I think we think similarly.
It was fun to see all the ideas of over a period of time and I’m sure I will watch it again. Thank you.
I love all the advice and encouragement to create and not make card making a chore
Gmorning y’all! It’s a beautiful day to be here enjoying another useful paper craft!
I forgot to say that relaxing in card making and trying not to worry about perfection with the outcome.
Love all of the tips but the one that really stands out to me is have fun!
Don't feel guilty over how much time you're spending crafting, it's supposed to be relaxing.
I think we al forget this, and worry about perfection vs. how happy the recipients that receive our cards will be!
#11: Add sparkle! I love sparkle and shine!
I love the idea of playing more! It seems like we feel we *have* to create a card when we sit down with our supplies. I think we get better when we actually play and learn how everything works.
