I love the extra faces. The blue keldor also reminds me of V for vendetta, and the human face almost resembles zartan from GI Joe. Really cool one here!
Thanks for stopping in, I appreciate the view! Yeah, the whole face plate switch out idea really takes this figure up a notch! There are so many possibilities! Those are good examples of what the possible design choices were inspired from when adding those three other faces👍
Thanks for watching! The extra faces or ability to change them out and maybe make 3d customs is awesome! Yeah, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out that gun barrel turned the top piece on the head better👍
YES!!! This man-e-faces rocks. Can't wait to get this one. I have to say this version is better then the classics. I really dig that you can change the faces out and store them in that case. JUICY!!! So buying this one.
Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I like versions better than the Classics design a bit more. Changing out those face plates is genius!I like that case he comes with, too! Also now this figure has the potential to 3d print and paint tons of different face plates for customs👍
Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, the whole idea of separate snap in faces is awesome! With a 3d printer and some paint, the possibilities are endless with different faces. The gun also being a key is Fun👍
Some alternative face ideas.Would be great if someone mass produce. I bet you they would sell on ebay... One: Optimus Prime , Starscream, Shockwave, then Megatron. Next Biden, Putin, and Trump. Next He-man (toy face), Skeletor, SheRa.
Yes, totally! Someone who is good with a 3d printer and paint can make hundreds of different characters from all kinds of franchises to snap on the face. I hope we see some cool custom plates show up down the road for this figure.
I like them a lot! Many people compare them to the Classics. The classics were a really cool line but somewhat different from the Masterverse figures. The Masterverse has better articulation and is much cheaper now. Plus, many of them can mix or go alongside the Classics!
Hello. If you mean dose the Classics man e faces head fit this body! I'm not sure. Mine Classics is in card. But the Classics regular heads might fit the ball peg with the hood off as those heads to fit Masterverse pegs with a little force.
Thank you for a great review as always! Appreciate you cranking all the new wave reviews out. Keep up the great work! I cannot wait for this wave. This figure is legit! Man E Faces was one of my first figures as a kid. Such a great update, close to the original but some cool changes. Love the larger gun and the suitcase.
Thankyou for all your support and sharing your comments on my reviews as always! I think they did a great job on this figure! I like that they stuck with the Classic look but made some new updates in the Head with those removable face plates, what a great idea! There is so many possibilities with 3d printing and paint for people who customize! You can make hundreds of different faces if you know what your doing. Even the six different faces with the suit case is enough for me to make this figure different from all the other Man-E-Faces in the other MOTU lines. The gun wrench idea is also really cool. I'm glad you like this new figure and you want to add one to your collection once he becomes more available👍
Thanks bro! Oh he one of my favorites in this wave! That switching face plate design and carey case is genius! People who are good with 3d printers and paint could make hundreds of different faces from MOTU, Thundercats, Transformers and all kinds of different character franchises to fit this guy!
I like the design of the accesories, the lil' skulls in the case where the faces plug in. The fact you can stor it on his back. I don't mind his pistol being big, that's teh way it was with the 80s figure.
Thanks for checking the review out! I think they did a good job with the design and accessories for this Masterverse Version Of Man-E-Faces. He looks very tradicional but yet has some unique differencance to not make it the same figure all over again. That huge Pistol being a tool was a cool idea. Those interchangable faces are genius! It really takes the figure to a whole other level👍
Thanks for stopping by today to check out the review! I'm with you on that! Two Bad, Hordak, and this new Man-e-faces are some of the best Masterverse figures yet and stack up against the Classics!
I just received him yesterday. Great figure. While messing with him I realized that the reason for his oversized gun is also to be used to pry his faces from the case as well as his head
Awesome pick-ups on this figure! That's interesting with that the gun helps take the faces out of the case. I didn't notice or try that. Thanks for adding that info and sharing your toy haul updates👍
Hello! Yes, they kept the design very close to the original but changed the face plates now to be removable. I think that's a great design change now for this figure👍
Yeah, he came out great! The gun wrench is cool, but I can see it being a problem. It's just easier to remove the head guard and spin the heads, then put it back on.
Thanks for watching the review! I own all the Classics. But I keep all the figures in card. I do have some loose ones. If I did a top 5 Classics review. It would make sense if they were all loose. My Top 5 would be Spikor, Kobra khan, Scare Glow, Whiplash and the Super7 Ultimate He-man.
They definitely made this Man e faces figure design great fotlr the Masterverse line. I also really liked the vintage figure as a kid! Thanks for sharing your comments 👍
Yeah, i also found that out later about the gun removing the faces. They did a good job with this Figures design and accessories for the Masterverse line. Thanks for checking out the review and sharing that info👍
Thanks for watching! Those Changeable Face Plates are geniuses for this figure now! I wasn't sure what that other face mask was supposed to represent! But Zartan sounds cool👍
The way Mattel chose to handle the face-turning feature for this version of Man-E-Faces is certainly interesting. Other than what you brought up about the continuous opening and closing of that suitcase, the other main issue I could foresee is that using the gun like a wrench might eventually wear down that plastic over time. And it looked like that head was a bit tough to turn manually without it. It sort of makes you wonder why they didn’t just give him an alternate head with the additional faces (which if memory serves is exactly what they did with Classics)…but I suppose doing it the way they did for this version allows more mixing and matching of the 6 different faces. So I guess I can see why they did that. I’m also not sure how I feel about those additional faces having to almost be “pried out” of the suitcase pegs because there’s not much to grab onto. Overall, it looks like a great figure. I just wonder how those issues that were brought up will degrade over time through prolonged use.
I also can see that gun wrench being an issue and damaging the parts over time. I guess they were trying to make some kind of play feature that feels mechanical in nature with the robotic part of Man-e-faces. But the head gaurd pops off easily, and the fave piller can be turned no problem by hand, then of course you just put the gaurd back on. It's not exactly nastalgic but allows a whole new way to switch or mix up faces. And for people who are good with 3d printers and paint! They can make hundreds of different faces from all kinds of other pop culture franchises like Motu, Transformers, and Thundercats, to name a few! The classics included a spare piller with faces on it, but you can only use that in place. The suitcase was a fun idea going back to Man-e-faces as an actor or performer and carrying props or faces. Yes, I don't like how hard they are to remove. But then again, I don't really like popping hands and heads off all the time, too. I broke or pulled the peg out of the body like that many times.
Some of these figures have certain factory issues! Usually stuff like scratchs and loose joint. Easy to overlook for those prices you mentioned! Great hauls!👍
Yeah so far I'm liking this one the best! I do like the other two but man e faces has display options like no other! Great reviews as usual 😃 And I recently learned that for the winter / cold climates my hairdryer is pretty much on standby when I decide to pose my figures. Mainly classified Joe's because they break so easily! But yeah I am excited for this line as always ✨✨👍✨✨
I'm glad to like this figure and the review, of course!😁 He is definitely one of my favorites in wave 8. I liked how they stuck with the more traditional looks going back to the Classics and vintage figures, but yet upgraded his design with removable face plates! That is genius! Plus the suit cast to store them. People who are goog with 3d printing and paint or serious customizers can make hundreds of different faces from the Motu franchise to Thundercats or Gi joe. Whatever you can think of, a face can be made if you can design or get files. But aside from that, the six different faces alone are enough to make this figure fun with that action feature! Yeah, my blow dryer is my best friend for tight joints. And that liquid fix or clear nail polish is great for loose joints. The other investment is those Kaiser stand I showed you. They get costly when buying dozens for my collection. But a must have with many of these modern figures in my experience.
@@Themanchlid Yeah I don't know much about him ( man e faces) but the motu Netflix cartoon had a different interpretation of his character design like they did will all of the figures. Yeah he is really cool and I am definitely looking forward to picking up that wave! Actually still need to go back and get the ones I missed lol! I keep saying that but I will eventually ✨✨✨
@Jigsaw Nora Man-e-faces was a very popular character and vintage figure for the generation of my age who grew up with that line. He was one of the figures you had to have. The face change and multiple personalities were unique in the animation, and the idea of the toy. The 80s figures had so many action features then. Some of the Origins and Masterverse brought them over with better improvements in certain Figures and lazy in others. But still cool to see. Yeah the Masterverse line has really grown! It's hard to catch up on all the stuff out now! You get what you can when can👍😁
Oh, Man! (-e-Faces! ;) I love my 200x Manny, but this one's gonna be hard to pass up. Love the metallic blues and purples, and the overall great paint deco!
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! They did a great job with this Masterverse Man-e-faces. He really stacks up against the Classics. The paint, articulation, and Changeable Face plates are done so well in this figure.👍
@@seandaeley7079 Yeah that was interesting to see those Skulls. They could have just made pegs but added those. This Is one of those examples of a figure in the Masterverse line they went the extra mile with in design👍
Is it just me or that gun incorporating as a nut driver is just added unnecessary work compared to his other iterations? 🤔 Look wise, he's great but the whole clipped faces seems extra work to me. Just saying. 😁
Yes, the gun is suggesting some kind of impact wrench or nut driver as a tool for this figure. If you like the three traditional faces or plates. Then you don't have to switch out anything. Just keep the faces as they are.👍
@@Themanchlid but we still have to change the faces because the option is there. Classics has an additional head with the three faces sculpted in it. If you need to change em, just pop off then pop in, it's done. Easy peacey. 😌 This one has pop off, pop faces off 3x, clip faces on 3x, pop in, then turn using gun/nut driver to change faces. Do the whole thing again to put back traditional faces. So fun. 😑
@Geff E Ternal Yeah, that's what I remember seeing that spare classics face set up do. The faces are sculpted on, as you mentioned. But now, with the Masterverse set up. We can mix faces on the headpiece if we want to under the hood. The biggest thing to me is the idea of custom 3d printing of faces that can have the peg set up to snap in The classics are all set. So we couldn't change face plates out. But now we have options.
They did such a nice job on the Man-e-faces for the Masterverse line. The suitcase and removable face plates are awesome! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts on this review👍
@TheFly FromZOO I think the suitcase idea goes back to the filmation concept of where Man-e-faces was an actor and performer. So, he would be able to switch out faces to play different roles and carry them around in a suitcase like puppets are stored by street performers. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Lol. Yeah, I guess if you want to display each one with each face. He is definitely a cool figure for the Masterverse line. Thanks again for checking the review out 👌
Can’t wait to grab him, but I’ll have to try my hardest to hold out to save a little on a sale price. Looks great. And we’re truly getting many faces this time around! Great video. ✌🏾➕✊🏾
Thanks for taking the time to check out the review! I love the way they designed this figure for the Masters line. He is still very limited in circulation and not out yet in retail or most places online. I would preorder him from Big Bad toy Store. They have a fair online retail cost and cheap shipping if you're in the USA..He might be hard find in stores. Many retailers are cutting back on stocking Masterverse figures. I think more and more of them will be sold online as time goes by. The Changeable Faces is one of the coolest upgrades to this figure👍
This is awesome. They could easily make a set of more faces down the line. I was able to customize a second Origins Man-E- Faces to have a He-man and Skeletor face.
Thanks for stopping on to check out the review! I love the way this Man-e-faces figure was designed for the Masterverse line. The interchangeable faces are genius. People who are good with 3d printing and paint can make hundreds of different faces with all kinds of characters from MOTU, Thundercats, Transformers and what ever you can think of👍
Looking forward to checking out your content. I've recently rekindled my childhood fascination with the MOTU toys and it's nice to find this channel for more info. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to check out some of the MOTU content on my channel! That's what this stuff and my channel reviews are all about! Reconnecting with those toys from our childhood and reliving that Nastalgia of those Figures and Characters we grew up with when times seemed more simple and magical👍
Super cool looking Man-E-Faces figure. Very tempted to get this one. Great review and discussion as always. I'd worry about using the weapon to turn the faces - seems like it would strip after a bit of use.
Hey Brushstroke, I hope all is well! Thanks for checking out the review, and I'm glad you liked this figure. I absolutely love the way the Masterverse re designed this Man-E-Faces for the New Eternia Sub line series. The six Changeable Face plates are really cool! People who are good with 3d printing and paint can make hundreds of different faces from all kinds of franchises like Motu, Thundercats, and Transformers, to name a few as long as they make that peg set up in the back. That gun wrench idea to turn the heads is fun, but I honestly would not use that all the time because I can see it stripping that knob! It's very easy to pop the Hood guard off, turn the heads with your finger to the position you want them, and then snap the hood back on.👍
And I found X_men pocket comics by Toybiz. It's Soo cute , a mini action figure playset with 2 figures. Wish they made one for He_man. Would love a mini slime pit with mini He_man. Don,t know if you collect this playset, didn,t see a comic.
There are some mini He-man figures out. But not from Mattel. I have a few of them. They are about 2 and a half inch figures. There are also a few micro Masters of the universe out. I think He-man, Teela, Skeletor, and battlecat. I seen them on ebay.
Top review as usual. If I didn’t have the classics I’d instantly buy this. It’s very good but if I get this and then they bring out a Creations origin figure I want this money it would eat into the funds. The classics came with an alternative head with Prince Adam, Orko and Skeletor. If this is still on BBTS in March I’ll pick it up. Getting these figures from Amazon U.K. etc is hard work.
I appreciate the view as always! Yes, I think the Classics had a different headpiece that went in with those three faces on it, as you mentioned. But I don't remember if they were separate plates like this Masterverse one. That's a cool idea for customs down the road with a 3d printer or accessories set. Hopefully, you can get this figure for a good price on BBTS down the road. But I know taxes and shipping are tough out of the USA sometimes. I think this Masterverse Man-e-faces is a great option for people who don't have or never picked up the Classics figure and wanted one or something close to it but with better articulation and now removable face plates.
Yes, the new faces and snap out features are a really cool design for the Masterverse Man-e-faces figure. I have a feeling that if they changed his design, many people would be upset! I see that in the comments, when they try to change certain core characters' looks or designs to different in the Masterverse line.
Great review. Sucks there are some QC issues. I don’t like that the arm armor doesn’t match the leg armor. Otherwise I think it looks really good. Love the 6 faces.
Thanks for stopping in to check the review out! QC issues on some of these early release figures in hand are very common, unfortunately. Some stuff I can fix or go around. The arm armor is off a bit. But it didn't bother me too much! The changeable face plates are a great idea. I really like the different ones they included👍
This is gotta be the best MasterVerse figure so far. So many accessories . Got it on preorder at big bad . I’m glad they didn’t make it a deluxe figure . Then it would be too expensive . I have the little loyal subjects man e faces which is actually pretty good too
Thanks for stopping in! I totally agree! I think this is one of the coolest figures I the Masterverse line so far I wave 8. The deluxe would have been interesting because maybe we would have many other face plates. But I also don't want to spend more money. I think making removable plates was a great idea! There are so many custom options for those who have 3d print and paint for this figure. I'm glad you like this New Eternia Man-e-faces and have him on Preorder on BBTS. He is supposed to come in this month.
Hey man. Regarding the gap on Man E Faces. I've resolved the same issue with other TVC 3.75 inch SW figure. Dip leg in hot water for a minute, pop leg out (in your case at the thigh, then pop back in.... and towel dry! If you do it let me know if it works. I'm curious. Like I said it worked for me with a Mando fig. I'd like to know if this solution is universal!
Thanks for watching the review and sharing your suggestions. Yeah I have tried that trick before with another Masterverse figure with thevsame problem in the leg and it seemed to tighten up that gaps. I haven't got around to trying in with Man-e-faces yet. But I will at some point. I also had thecsame problem with my Masterverse faker He-man and took the Thigh apart. I noticed the mold in the leg wasn't deep enough for the peg, so I drilled it a bit and then the leg looked better. So hopefully I can just reset it in this figure as you mentioned👍
@@JMECO73 Oh yeah! I have a dremel and all kinds of tools for customs and repairs. I made a few Custom videos with things I tried. I tell people if your gonna be a serious Toy collector. Then you really should have tools, Paints, Markers, figure Stands and Glues for repairs. It dosent matter if you have a figure that 20 years old or new out of the box. Things go wrong and you should know how to fix or maintain certain things. Some stuff new is garage and has to be returned. Other things are just easier to repair or deal with. Its the nature of the beast when your collecting high articulated figure with a bunch of paint apps and complex accessories. Things are gonna go wrong. Not to mention this stuff is becoming more complex to make, made faster and Cheaper to get it out!
Agreed. Plus it is ridiculously fun to do! My most complex custom was doing a removable mask of the SW cantina creature The Morseerian including a face transplant!. Im not sure if we follow each other on Instagram. I'm cartoon badguys. But I have it on there. Also regarding repairs, you can get great deals on figs with damage that are easy to repair. Such a fun hobby! Keep up the great work!
@@JMECO73 Thats a great custom. I have done a fair share of complicated things too. I don't make a lot of videos on stuff. But I like trying different things when I can. My Instagram is manchild497. Check it out. I will follow you and check out your stuff👌
Someone else also mentioned the different blue colors they didn't like. I'm not sure if they are going for something a little different for this figure so its not exactly another Man-e-faces again, but still very iconic yet a little different for the Masterverse line or they just got lazy. I wasn't happy with the cape on the Sorceress because it didn't have any feather designs. Many other didn't like it as well and some did. The Masterverse figures are hit or miss for some. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts👍
I have also gotten some other comments saying the same thing about the paint. I guess you can try to customize. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! I think the second set of faces reference Skeletor, Keldor, and I guess a filmation Man-e-faces concept. But that's what I see. I'm not sure what Mattel had in mind.
Great review boss!! I have mine on pre-order but after seeing your review, I can't wait for it to arrive. I Really like the extra faces and the overall look. im into 3d printing, don't give me any ideas 😂😂!! 💪🏼👏🏽👏🏽💯 Brother!
Thanks for stopping in, brother! I'm really glad you liked the overall look and have him on Preorder! Oh man, if you can, 3d print and a little paint. The face options you can create for the figure are endless!👌😁💯
This figure is kind odd if you have classic to compare the upper torso on this new one looks weird and the skin paint job looks not so good the extra faces box is fine and the articulations... but standing next to the classic ..I have to say classic is the winner don't get me wrong is not a bad figure but the the design is odd and paint job have a kind of likeness of 2002 versions from that great series. many new figures from Masterverse and new eternia is a hit and miss but overall are good line
Classics will always be number one to me! They have the vintage nastalgia design off the vintage or Origins, but more modernized with articulation and design. I have most of the classics line figures in the cards and some others out! They are awesome! The Masterverse reminds me of a mix between The 200x, Classics, and filmation design mixed. So they are different, but they still feel like modernized MOTU figures that go back to the source material. They are definitely hit or miss depending on the character and how much they changed the design from the Classics. Some work well, and others don't! It depends on personal tastes in design with these core characters. For me, it is like a variant or skin similar to playing a favorite character in a video game, but trying different looks or skins on that Character.
@@Themanchlid yeah I agree for collectors and nostalgia is good from different tasted like you said , but sad the show at Netflix didn't do any justice to bring that good hype memories from our childhood
@Junior Illinois Yeah, many people didn't like that show. I didn't care for the writing and certain decisions. But you need some kind of cartoon or movie to keep the toy line going for the most part. There are many cool figures coming this year from that Revelation show like Clawful, Webstor, and Whiplash, to name a few. They look really cool!
A very cool figure that I'll have to admire from afar. This almost tempted me with the Gar Keldor face (I'm a HUGE fan of the character), but I will hold out hopes for an actual Masterverse 200X Keldor.
Thanks for watching the reviews as always! He is really well done and a fun figure to have because of the face plate change out feature. Keldor is an interesting character, and I like that face they added that seems to be inspired by him. I'm not surevifvthe Masterverse will put a Keldor in the line. It depends if the brand sticks around long enough. If it does, then Keldor is an easy Skeletor repaint with minimal tooling aside from a new head and box. So it's possible👍
@@dubuyajay9964 They could have included so many faces with this face plate switching design. I would like to an accessory set come out. But I can see so many cool customs with people who can use 3d printing and paint to make all kinds of face plates.

Very nice figure! I like what Mattel is doing with the New Eternia line.
I appreciate appreciate your view and leaving some comments! This is another Home run Masterverse figure in my book by Mattel👍
A very funny figure, I want it in my collection.
Yeah, he was always intended to be an actor or comic relief in the filmation. But yet have a dark, serious side, too. A must-have for the Collection👍
Man e faces is my favorite of the wave. Found him and Shadow Weaver for 3.99 each at Ross. They had the bird lady and pig face too for 3.99.
Manny has some scratches on the left thigh on mine while the right thigh doesn't have any. It doesn't bug me much.
Some of these figures have certain factory issues! Usually stuff like scratchs and loose joint. Easy to overlook for those prices you mentioned! Great hauls!👍
I like the alternate faces
The alternative faces or options to change those out are genius! People with 3d printers can make some cool customs too👍
Yeah so far I'm liking this one the best! I do like the other two but man e faces has display options like no other! Great reviews as usual 😃
And I recently learned that for the winter / cold climates my hairdryer is pretty much on standby when I decide to pose my figures.
@@Themanchlid Yeah I don't know much about him ( man e faces)
but the motu Netflix cartoon had a different interpretation of his character design like they did will all of the figures.

@@Themanchlid I agree! I love how the pegholes for all the faces in the case and the neck look like little skulls!
Look wise, he's great but the whole clipped faces seems extra work to me.
This one has pop off, pop faces off 3x, clip faces on 3x, pop in, then turn using gun/nut driver to change faces.
The biggest thing to me is the idea of custom 3d printing of faces that can have the peg set up to snap in
The classics are all set. So we couldn't change face plates out. But now we have options.
Backpack option looks cool. 🤔
The backpack was a really cool idea👍
Great video. Looking forward to this wave.
Thanks for stopping in! I really like this figure best so far in the wave!👍
@@Themanchlid between two bad and Man e faces, it's hard to pick which one I like better. The masterverse line is my favorite

They did such a nice job on the Man-e-faces for the Masterverse line. The suitcase and removable face plates are awesome! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts on this review👍
@@Themanchlid What is the idea here with that suitcase ? it looks like Big Jim secret agent 004 by Mattel but Motu version
Regards from France
@TheFly FromZOO I think the suitcase idea goes back to the filmation concept of where Man-e-faces was an actor and performer. So, he would be able to switch out faces to play different roles and carry them around in a suitcase like puppets are stored by street performers. Lol. Thanks for watching!
Awesome toys collection

It's very easy to pop the Hood guard off, turn the heads with your finger to the position you want them, and then snap the hood back on.👍
Great figure

The extra faces are really cool, but I wish the design of the figure was improved, being a New Eternia one, than just copy the vintage as-is.

Awesome. And sounds like you'll resolve it either way if you have dremel corrected previous fig. Many collector can't do that. !!

Major issues for me. Blues do not match, an they cheaped out and didnt put any blue paint on the upper torso. Blech.

Do the 2nd set of faces reference something?
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! I think the second set of faces reference Skeletor, Keldor, and I guess a filmation Man-e-faces concept. But that's what I see. I'm not sure what Mattel had in mind.

The New Day are coming.
Newer figures in the Masterverse line? Yes they are👍
A very cool figure that I'll have to admire from afar.
@@Themanchlid I wish he had a Demo-Man face too to complete the Skeletor Trifecta.
