Credits - Our Thumbnail features a brilliant realistic rendition of Man-E-Faces by Sallow! Check his DA page, it has some really great takes on MOTU characters, plus other fantastic stuff.
Man -E Faces was one of the best action figures
Only one I had growing up.
Him and ol' ZARTAN!!
I agree. Both action figures were awesome.@@BenBen-kh1dm
Oh man I love it, haven’t thought of that toy since I was a child. You’re right it was epic didn’t have a thing on the back that would switch the faces. Probably never should’ve melted it with that lighter
Him and Ram Man are literally the first 2 I think of when remembering these action figures. Yes, even before He Man and Skeletor. Maybe because kids for some reason ALWAYS had them lol
Can we get an R-rated He-Man movie in the style of the thumbnail art? Something bodering on horror with hard hitting no nonsense battles??
Sure, thanks for the request. Coming right up
@@tylergooden2183 Soooo... you've had two days, how far along are you? 😜
"Man-E-Faces sounds a lot like Many Faces"....
I thought it sounded like rotating face dude, thanks for the clarification.
I know right!😁
Well of course as in symbolism turn the E around and becomes a 3. Yes many faces indeed.
He-man and the MOTU was the first action figure line that I got into as a kid. I would have been around 7 when they came out, I f'cking freaked when I finally got one. Of course He-Man and Skelator were the first 2, Trap-jaw was the most popular with everyone I knew. I had Man-e faces, don't remember playing all that much with him.
By the time the figures like Stinkor came out I had moved in to Transformers and GI Joe (which I think was the what I played with the longest). Once I discovered heavy metal at around 10-11years old, I was done with toys. That was actually pretty young to shrug off toys.
My favorite character and the first figure I bought in the '84! Sadly I don't have the figure anymore...
Man-E-Faces also may have served as inspiration for the Transformers animated incarnation of Blitzwing as he also had three separate Faces that's spun though this was controlled more so by his mood swings
Zoar is female because it is the sorceresses alternate form
Did you just assume the Sorceress's gender? Zoar is just part of the Sorceress's DID system.
:o
You mean Man E Faces is really a play on words? My whole world view has been shaken to the core...
I spent all these decades believing that the E was just his middle initial.
Yes.
All thanks to Orko.
Turn the E around and its a 3
He-Man cartoon of 2002 needed a season 3!!!
it DEFINITELY did!!!
Also a 4,5,6, and 7th season. 😎
Agree!
I had the action figure as a kid,and he was my favorite.
Almost made the comment that the narrator needed to learn the origins of Adam/He-Man until he finally stopped calling Adam: He-Man after the first third of the video.
🤦♂️🤦♀️🤦♂️🤦♀️
This guy needs to know the difference between Adam and HeMan but he REALLY NEEDS TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TEELA AND THE SORCERESS
My brother bought me every action figure and castles of that series. I put them in a box up in the attic which was a mistake. The Texas heat destroyed them all. I was going to give them to my son when he was a young boy just like my brother had done for me when I was very young. I screwed that up tho.
Had to be a Texan.
I saw someone cosplaying as him one time. The dudes costume was awesome
How did he change his face?
@@lepterfirefall he had this rotating thing built with three masks and a little dial on top just like the toy
@@PinkyJujubean awesome!!!
Zoar is female because it is the sorceresses alternate form
@@djfunkgut wrong thread lol. However you're still right regardless
4:24 wow who would have thought. no way anyone ever figured that out. never ever.
He has a very clever name
You know what would be cool if Man-E-Faces face changes from human to monster to robot depending on his mood swings
2002 show had a very good episode with man e faces
Beast man could control the monster face and which caused man e faces to essentially loose his confidence
I never had HE Man toys so I made them out of paper, drew the back and front of their bodies, Elmer's glue to harden them and their weapons.
The real question is why didn't heman ever just cut skeletor's head off? I know that would be a giant plot hole but still. Doesn't that make sense to anybody else?
Man- E-faces was one of the best toys back in the day then ZARTAN GI.JOE SOUND WAVE TRANSFORMERS🙂
@16:20 if this were made today, they would have made them gay lovers.
I love the thumbnail concept art.
Man E faces is an awesome character !
I really enjoyed this podcast about ManE Faces. 👍
As a kid, I hated both this toy and character. Now I'm like, "meh."
This is why Masters of the universe will always be my greatest action figure collection you are the only one covering the masterverse keep it up
I love hearing this guy retell these classic He Man stories. It seems Man E Faces main power was his impressions and costume design.
In at least the 2002 show, it was established that Man E Faces had different abilities for his different faces.
In his robot face, he has electronically heightened accuracy with his blaster pistol and a more analytical/ strategic mind.
In his monster face, he has heightened strength and can grow sharp claws, but in that form, he can also be hypnotized by Beast- Man's special whip.
I love Man e Faces. My very first He man action figure and a character that surprisingly doesn't appear a lot in the original cartoon.
Very cool backstory on Man E Faces. Thank u!
do mecha neck next.
Man-e-faces has never looked more badass than in this thumbnail.
Man-E-Faces sounds like Many Faces? No way!
The thumbnails are better then the actual origin.
DID YOU KNOW THAT MAN E FACES SOUNDS LIKE MANY FACES WOW
Why didn’t you cover 200x and MotUC bio and the thing from the thumbnail?
Missing all the newer content. Follow up needed!
"He was a master of disguise" - Hyyyyyupp. Always wearing the same, extremely clunky and recognizable armor, but changing his face. A truly "masterful" "disguise". As I said - stories for the mentally challenged...
Watching this made me want to make a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich with some Old Dutch potato chips and chocolate milk. I used to watch this after school and make that meal.
Thi# question may seem weird to you. But how tall did you grow up to be?? I have a theory about chocolate milk.
Gotta have doritos and a coke here. Saturday morning was cereal or pop tarts and juice
What exactly is your theory? I drank chocolate milk every day as a kid. I'm 5'10, my best friend did the same, and is 6'2, my cousin, who also did every day, is 5'2
Great video
why are all 80's Character objects/images always the best ones, e.g. look at HeMan, Skeltor, Sword, transformers, these days look like japanimes.. so much toony .. even the sword is so awsome ..
The Man-E-Faces action figure was to the He-Man line what the Boba Fett action figure was to the Star Wars line.
I like the characters of the show having name puns. Man e faces, Man at Arms, Evil Lynn. 😂
Great toy, but kind of a silly character in the animated series. I've re-watched the series lately, got about 30 episodes left, and then I'm definitely going to check out the comics for the first time.
intressting but whats about his head and outfit, the strange machine on his chest and why in the first place can he rotate his head there is so much unawnserd here
He-man was not aproched by the sorceress and Orko. He was aproched by Teela and Orko. How can you give information if you don't know who each character is.
Zoar is also the Sorceresses form when she leaves the castle, as she gets weaker the farther she is.
Starting the video with the comics didn't help, where the Sorceress's original form is what we got as the Teela action figure, since they hadn't quite solidified the designs yet. (Also why Man-at-arms doesn't have a stache in his plastic form)
Collictor or collector?
Just like the Quintesson Judge can change any faces
This. Guy. Has. A . Very. Weird. Way. Of. Reading. His. Script.
"Did. You. Know. That. The. Name. Man. E. Faces. Sounds. Similar. To. Many. Faces?"
Noooooooo! Really? Get the fuck out! Wooooow! Peel me an orange and paint me purple, I never! What will they think of next? A villain who stinks with the name of "Stinkor"?
drink a shot everytime he says Man-E-Faces😁
I think that was Telia in the mini-comic, not the Sorceress. . .
It was. He kept calling Teela the sorcerers
@@wimberly1974 The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
Man e faces and trapjaw are my favorite motu figures
one of my Favorites And Cyclops
Who still owns a figure?!👍
Omg so many wrong
The falcon Zoar is a female as it is the sorceress.
The comic shows Tee-la, captain of the guards
When telling the story that is Prince Adam, not he-man.
For the love of eternia if your going to speak of a cartoon a generation grew up loving then do it right with the correct names of the characters
He’s right on the mini comic information. The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
Yeah 🎉😂❤
Calls the Goddess the Sorceress, Calls Adam He-Man and calls Teela the Sorceress. Double check the clips and scripts please.
in the early comics. she was called or known as the goddess, the sorceress and teela. so he is right. its before the prince Adam is heman thing. in the cartoon she reinvented as teela na.
@@jeremygray462 She was a separate person from Teela. Teela was a clone of her. At best it can be mention that Teela and the goddess were combined briefly, before separating again. Either way, it's still an inaccuracy and should be pointed out. Plus they were not showing the proper images to go with what was being said.
@@jeremygray462 Finally!
Where can I find those awesome thumbnails art ?
It was from movie concept art from a movie that never got off the ground unfortunately
The origins of Tawara Touta before he was experimented by scientists when Tawara Touta's ability using his three spinning faces according to Belgian Bande Dessinée Artist Jean Van Hamme
It was te-la and Orko
The Best he.man
Does TFA Blitzwing even homage Man-E-Faces too?
Man E didn't have many scenes in the Filmation series.
Oh wow... I never understood why he was named Man E Faces until you explained it... Now can you explain why Skeletor is named Skeletor, or Triclops is named Triclops? How about why Trapjaw is named trapjaw? Im just not making the connection.
Ok. But how did he get orkos hat when he changed?
Three face
"Masters of the universe" - Stories about oiled up bodybuilders for the mentally challenged.
Hello ma'am
That’s Prince Adam not He-Man 🤷🏻♂️🤣
😢 mind programming and duel personalities
Man
E
Faces esq.
Podía haber puesto subtítulos en castellano para poder entender lo que dice
7:27 she was Teila not the Sorceress...
The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
Man ee faces > Man efaces
I am confused...thats not the Sorceress...thats Teela doing spells
The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
You do realize that is not the Sorceress shown in the mini comic when you are refering to her correct? That is Teela 🤦♂️
The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
This character is a rip off of Gemini from Thundar.
@Michael Millwood He-man himself is a rip off of Thundar.
true. but heman is so much better. cartoon, toys, comics, only time could prove that and it did. heman has been remade so many times. thundar wasn't. it's just like galoob golden girl action figures they are just like shera but shera was out about a month b4 golden girls. you see everything is a rip of of something else. conan the barbarian for example.
The names of characters is pure cringe...
Man-E-Faces had all the originality and creativity of Superman's, Clark Kent persona. Not exactly sure how this guy equates to a master of disguise?
First of all why do people insist on calling Adam He-Man when they are Adam ? I know technically they are the same person but that's Like calling the Hulk Bruce Banner when he's The Hulk I mean yeah technically they are the same person but they are completely different characters and I like how this guy puts huge emphasis on Man -E-faces I mean damn dude it's said like this many faces sorry if it seems like I'm nip picking but just once I'd like to watch a He-Man video where the RUclips creator was actually a fan of He-Man is that too much to ask?
His friends do. Like calling Superman Clark.
@@rhuttrho88 no they don't Man-At-Arms Orko the sorceress and Cringer all call him Adam when he is Adam in every episode they call him Adam till there is trouble then there like you better go get He-Man or change into He-Man never once do they ever call him He-Man unless he is He-Man Also Superman only gets called Clark by Batman the rest call him sup Supes Superman or his real name Kal-El
I used to think their names were cool as a kid, now they just sound goofy lol
Man E Faces, Buzz Off, Clawful, Stinkor, Spidor , Rokkon and Stonedar 🤦🏽♂️
You refer to the lady saving man-e-faces as the sorceress, but it’s teela?
The first two series had the Sorceress looking like Teela in the snake armor.
จอยๆๆๆ ซำ หมาเตอร์ ฟัค!! อิน หย่า เผิง ป๊าดดด เท่ง มง
When you referred to the toys as ‘figurines’ you lost all credibility.
Wow that story was worst then a weeks old garbage.
