You don't do a bunch of meaningless talking and rambling. I watched the whole thing and learned something as I'm mixing this song for New Years Day. Thanks a million. LOL
Thank you Joanne. I really appreciate you taking the time to give such helpful feedback. This is so important for me to judge how effective my delivery is. If there are any topics you would like me to cover that would help you as a beginner let me know and I will see what I can do. Cheers😀
hey man thanks for the vid it just made me realize, the reason i was getting phazing issues with the spreader, because i had the cans on mono, lol, thanks, accidentally!
Yes my friend. There is just so much under the hood. I’ve been using this DAW since 1996 and I’m still discovering new things. Anyway thanks a lot for your feedback. Cheers 😀
Can you use a spreader for a final mix? Also random question, is it wise to use a spreader and stereo spread. I love this video! Thank you so much for the content!
Hey thanks for your great feedback. Good question too. Yes you can use Spreader on a final mix but it is a bit tricky as you cannot control the spread of specific frequencies so well. Ideally you want your low frequencies to remain centered and mids and highs to be a bit spread out. Spreader does not give you control over that. I'd much more likely use a Stereo Spreader on a final mix than Spreader. Also I would not use them both in the same chain. My go-to stereo spreader for final mixes/masters is the Imager in iZotope Ozone. It is amazing. Cheers.😀
Sorry for the delay in responding to you. I believe I only had a couple of my favourite vocal plugins on the bus. The awesome iZotope Nectar 2 and the invaluable Waves Vintage Exciter. I’ll put a link to both in the description of the video for you to check them out. Cheers 🙏🏾
Hi there. Thanks for the question. I believe for this song are used AKG214 for the vocal. I’ve got a few different microphones in my arsenal but for this particular vocal the 214 seemed to bring out the character that I was looking for. Cheers 😀
Quick question. Let's say I have 3 vocal tracks.. I pan one hard left, the other hard right and one center.. This is usually how I do it but I believe if I hard pan L and R then that's basically stereo and a center isn't needed; makes sense? I guess my main question would be is the center needed or should I just use L and R
Great question. If all 3 vocal takes are solid then I would do exactly as you have done by using all 3. The subtle nuances and variations in tone etc between the 3 takes create a richer sound than if you only use 2 hard left and hard right. So I would create that stereo field by using all 3. Cheers. 😀
Hey there. This is a quick unfinished vibe I wrote with my sister Carmen J. We’ve been meaning to finish it and work on a project together for ages but just can’t seem to lock in the time. Thanks for your message all the same. Cheers 😀

So glad the video was helpful. Yes sometimes we all miss a simple switch or button. Happy to know things sound better. Cheers 😀
Thank you for enlightening me about the tool. It seems the more I learn about Logic Pro X the less I know...but in a good way.

What are the names of the effects you bused on vocals except spreader?

What mic did you use for the vocal of that song?

Makes me think of Outkast's 'Spread'...'I can't wait to get you home'....
Cool. Thanks for your feedback. Cheers.😀

@@MTTC cheers bruv! Appreciate it!
Can you please tell me who this artist is and what the song is called?

What intensity means here .I didn't get intensity function ? What does intensity do
The intensity dial controls how much stereo width and detuning takes place. Cheers 😊
@@MTTC thanks man 👍
El DeBarge?
The DeBarge family are legends 😀
