- Hi guys!
This is a video on the 52 set of watercolours by Meiliang (Paul Reubens) - you may have heard of ‘Pretty Excellent’ watercolours before. These products were very kindly sent to me by Paul Reubens.
I was so excited to test out the macaron colours as I don’t have any in my colouring collection, and I was so happy with what I saw, I wish they had a whole big set of macarons only - check them out with me and see what you think!

Such beautiful vibrant colours! ❤🧡💚💙💜 I have 36 colours set of this line (in a lovely teal box) and very happy with them. I keep seeing Mei Liang being recommended by many watercolour artists/educators, basically half of YT channels I follow (pretty big ones, too), so I believe they are indeed great choice, especially in this price range. Enjoy your watercolour journey!
Beautiful set. I’m getting these for sure. The sponge is supposed to be used to clean your brush off but I think they are too small. Also I don’t know if you are familiar with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponges but you can use them to clean your plastic mixing palettes and they will remove the majority of any staining that you might have. Just FYI. I think you did a great job with your cloud too btw. Have fun playing with your new palette of colors. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊
Thanks for sharing that with me, I have never heard of Mr clean magic eraser, definitely something I may need to look into
The sponge would be for wiping off your brush, thank you for removing that bit in the lid to see if you can use it as a palette as that was something that was putting me off 😂 I am thinking I might get this as it would be a good one for travel but I also think I’m tempted to either take the paints out or when finished fill them with other brands I like as it can hold 52 colours. The macaron colours will be the ones that have the pigment PW6 in. Although they have probably also used it for some others too. The downside is it makes the paints more opaque but depends on whether you like that or not really. Thanks for the review. I recommend Sketches n scrubs channel for help with mixing and watercolour knowledge in general.
Thank you for this video!! Great info. I am exactly where you are (well maybe a little behind) wanting to learn about using watercolor paint in my coloring books. I completely understand why you want to learn and practice before doing a color along but would you consider doing a “Let’s learn together” type video? Those are extremely helpful for beginners like me who are visual learners. AND they are much less intimidating when trying to get started. No pressure, though. I am excited to see what you do no matter when it happens. ❤

It’s a lovely set would be all you need for at home or travel pallet.

The sponge is for wiping off your brush……I personally don’t use them.
