- Hi guys,
This is my 8 year old dog, Bambi. I had her since she was a puppy. I really do think if a person has the time and energy to keep up with a silky then by all means, it's totally worth it to get this lovely breed. She loves to sleep inside and run like crazy outside. She really is a sweetheart and she is super gentle and loves her humans.

Thank you Annie for sharing your video on Bambi and THANK YOU everyone here who owns or adopts an Australian Silky Terrier. I miss my Winnie every day since he went to doggie heaven in 2012. This breed is non-shedding, protective, fun and always affectionate. They need training but are absolutely 100% guard dogs. All the good qualities in a small package! ;) I hope you all and your dogs continue to enjoy great fun loving moments together. Much love and God bless you all. Dogs are truly God's angels sent to us to love us and help us.

I love silky terriers…I was heartbroken 💔 after losing my sweet small but Brave Alfie. He took on rats 🐀 and snakes 🐍 and lived life with a gusto that so many of us lack. I miss him…

Adopted a young silky. He would follow closely behind where ever I went. It was funny because whenever I turned around he wasn't there, because he was always behind me. I called him "Tailer". Very affectionate & loyal with boundless energy.

That's how my first Silkie was and my 16 and a half one is now. They are right behind you and you dont even know.😂
Adopted our sweet Silky Terrier Lia from adoption league a little over 4 years ago when she was 13 years old. Lia was worth every minute. Brought so much joy and laughter everyday until she crossed Rainbow Bridge on January 5 of this year. Miss her ferociously.
I'm sure your dog felt lucky to have you for those 4 years as well, they are never gone, they are always in our hearts 💛

Silkies are the greatest dogs ever. If you're up for it. Once you get one they own you forever and live a long time. 16-17 isn't unheard of. They love walks and playing. My Silky would walk 24 hrs a day.

My silky, Ziggy, was a rescue we adopted 10 years ago when he was a little over a year old. He's my sweet boy and I love him with all my heart. ❤

I just adopted a Silky and he gets along with the cat and my senior dog. He definitely has sass and thinks he’s a much larger dog than he is. 🤣🤣

She looks so much like my dog! Even the color and floppy ears!... I thought my dog was a Yorkie her whole life. Just found out she's a Silky. She's 11yo.
Nawwsss that is so cute, yea I think the floppy ears make them very cute personally, my dog is 11 years old too!
I have an Australian Terrier and he's just like that. Silkys seem more relaxed.

Bambi looks just like my Chewy! I really think I have a Silky. He is 2 yrs old and he's 11 inches tall and almost 11 lbs. He has the floppy ears too.
So cute! silkies are not meant to have floppy ears but I have seen so many with it !

My silky passed recently after killing a snake that entered our house, he was only 11. Im heartbroken
But one day when my family is ready, we’ll definitely get another silky ❤️

Most silky terriers have pointy ears, I think only my dog has a droopy ears haha
