The last couple of years, I've had lots of fireflies around my Cannabis in early summer. I don't think they do any damage but even if they do, I love seeing them!
@@DeBaccoUniversity So many, one of my favorites is the praying Mantis, I've had them for years. I once grew a carrot for 2 years just to house their eggs. Beautiful when they hatch.
The idea of letting a preying mantis loose in a grow tent as a sentinel is so cool sounding but he shouldnt have much to eat in there if I am doing things right.
Insects added should be targeted for a particular pest which will reduce the chance of competition. Most of the time it can the the insects themselves being cannibalistic so be sure to space them out so they attack the pest and not their friends;-)
These can be persistent, so a break in the growing cycle can allow you to clean the area and then allow for an advantage in keeping the plants clean for the rest of the season.

@@DeBaccoUniversity I used wardrobe cedar hangers to hang off the lower half of the plant after rubbing over with sand paper and spritzing fresh oil on it. So far so good no spider mites. Fingers crossed I’m into 4 week bloom and no visible signs of leaf damage as would normally be the case by now.
What are your thoughts on springtails?? I keep getting them, and i find people saying they are actually ok to have that they feed on mold and dead roots. Thank you sir!
Generally these are neutral to the plant, no harm or benefit so no need to control them, but introducing other beneficials may be more worthwhile to have living on and around your plants to ward off potential threats to your plants.
Hey there, do you have a video going over beneficial mites? I believe I have beneficial soil mites (white, pretty fast moving for a small insect) but want to confirm
Probably springtails! Do they kinda jump around like a flea would? Rise to the top and float when watering? Tiny tiny only barely visible and white? Springtails, i asked and he said theyre neutral, no harm or benefit. If thats what ya got

Love this one. So many beneficial out there. Tbh..feeling horrible about using DE. I've lost sleep over it.
There are good bugs out there!

The microscopic world is absolutely terrifying
With a better understanding it can become less terrifying, but sometimes the understanding only increases the level of terror;-)
i love hover flies
They are interesting for sure.

Ideally yes.
Do any of these beneficial insects react negatively with one another if used at the same time?

Found an ant damsel bug, thought I was going to kill it but I’m glad I found this video

The ladybugs do not like LED lights. I learned that first hand. Do you know if any of these would not mind the LEDs?
Strong lights in general and insects can present a challenge.
How do I get rid of scales forever ♾ on cannabis?

Prof. TeBacco, Thoughts on Cedar oil?
No specific trails to date, but with all oils caution must be taken not to cause damage to the plant via phytotoxicity.

My phone identifier has named a bug in my tent an “any damsel bug” any information surrounding this bug specifically?

Only specific beneficials are mentioned with-in video lectures focusing on the insects they are used to help control.
ladybugs have larvae, not nymphs. Thats a specific kind of larva from lady beetles
Thanks for pointing this out.
Wats effective on spiders?
Regular household spiders are not a threat, spider mites.... a different story. (Separate video for spider mites on this channel.)
@@DeBaccoUniversity Thank you for the quick response..
No problem!
Are any of these invasive ?
A true beneficial insect would not be invasive as their population should correlate with the pest population.
Is it okay to share this in some cannabis groups on Facebook?
Yes, please share this video and the channel! Help spread the word;-)
