Black Lotus was the best thing in that game. Sneaking into the base of a US air general, stealing their airfield full of the op bombers and nuking the shit out of their own base with those things was beautiful
Their loss... This is one of the few western developed games where communist China is portrayed as a good guy (sort of). They did more or less win the war against the GLA and replaced the USA as the worlds most powerful nasion at the end of Zero Hour.

DefiantBoris They're one of the removed features from the game. Ive got a mod that adds in a lot of the removed features that they couldn't finish in time. Bassicaly, each faction has a way to take POWS. China uses stun bullets, Gla stun darts, and the US uses riot gas
Bnlol1 nope. From what I read, taking POWs powers three abilities depending on what army you play. For USA, it powers the "Intelligence" ability - reveals all enemy units and structures on the map. For China, it powers the "Defect" ability - instantly gives you control of an enemy unit. For GLA, it powers the "Demoralize" ability - reduces the rate of fire and range of enemy units by 50% (ouch!).
I mean, not really. Not sure if mao's soldier ants were used in a military capacity(Aside from terrorizing people he disliked.). I prefer ROTR's explanation that they were originally parade soliders that were turned into a militia to take advantage of hatred against the gla.

I was refering how they were in the game to be a great "fuck you" toward the chinese since it is a reference toward one of the many atrocities the chinese has been doing during those times. generals was nice, but the red guard should be more dangerous alone, the chinese army uses heavy weapons and are one of most well trained army on the world, even the american special forces think they are awesome, if the game was more loyal to the real ones, the barracks would be more useful
that’s why when playing China It’s strength in numbers, red guards come in pairs and plus the zero hour expansion has the infantry general and red guards are replaced with mini gunners and they’re op they air also anti air

There really isn't one, but it nets you a little money for each troop you capture, like 40$. Not really worth it, it's just a fun thing to do.
