Analog style filters! Related to EQ for sure. But there’s other things going on. Check out the video and I think you’ll get a feel.

Thanks for the comment! If you're on a really bright, thin sounding system without a lot of low end, I could see that being the case. The track is really big and smooth sounding with lots of bottom.
It sounds like a decent balance on big speakers. Maybe we should have asked the editor to make the voice a bit darker so the two sources would seem more similar in level on phone speakers and things.
Would be curious to see if others have had the same issue. It didn't seem to bother any of the 5 people who heard it internally here. But we're not listening to it on laptops or cell phones! Could be a good check to do.

@@SonicScoop I'm on Genelec 8030As with 2 8" subwoofers and SoundID room correction. Definitely not bright or thin.
I have to increase my volume when the music plays a decrease when he starts speaking. Thank you for replying Justin. I didn't have this experience with any if your full length mixes, especially the Michael Brauer.

Gotta agree on this. The vocals sounds a bit too loud imo but overall pretty well balanced.
Agreed - VO is too loud compared to music but still a great video! Helpful. Made me realise I really need to use the damn plugin I bought 🙂
