Somebody called me an Empath and laughed at me one time when I said something similar. I don't think it's funny. It's painful and I want to go home, and I don't mean down the street here on Earth.

Even if I enjoy slow movies and I know how to appreciate good movies which aren’t the fast&furious stereotype I have to admit I didn’t like this movie. I don’t know why, maybe I was too young when I watched it. Whatever, all I wanted to say is that tastes are different and there is no need to condemn people who don’t have yours.

One of the best movies i ever see in my live. I am 38 years old and this movie makes me cry but dont in a bad feeling. The end was overwhelming for me.
Arrival hit me so hard that I fear I will spoil its effect if overexposed. Some movies you can rewatch a hundred times on lazy afternoons for pure entertainment. This was something special; different and deeper. One shot and my life had changed.
Same I can understand what you're saying. It's a film I'd give anything in this world to feel the same emotions I felt when I first watched it. It was one of my first films that made me feel in a way I never could've imagined films could have this kind of an impact on my thoughts and mind. I was like just so numb and disoriented just couldn't describe what I exactly felt, couldn't understand why I was feeling what I was feeling just something.....can't put into words. Don't know if there's precisely any word or way that would describe it.
@@goattttttt954it's stuck with me since I seen it. As a father of a beautiful 6 year old girl, I took away one message from it. See the people you love. Really see them. The score, the cinematography , the acting, the everything - this film is so deep and so beautiful. Days after watching it and I am still thinking about it and will be for the next few days too. Definitely one of my new favorite movies
Johann Johansson did the score, but they used the nature of light of max richter for the opening scene. a perfect combination the score with this only song for the opening. great movie!
I've just read the short story after having watched the movie several times. The film goes so much beyond the original story. Everything is better, on a whole different scale. But Ted Chiand provided the basis. My thanks to him for that.
A+ movie right here. Saw it opening night and the movie left me absolutely shook. I knew right there that a new classic was born and that people would be discussing this movie for years.
Every year has it's own masterpiece of a Sci-fi movie. I will never forget when I watched Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, Ad Astra, Coherence, Alien Covenant for the 1st time.
You know I’ve been looking for this channel since years .. always hoped such channel would exist! So thank you very much 💛 and hope your channel grows up because these beauties need to seen by most humans!
Beauty is not only in the eyes it resides deep within the heart. A softness that holds the soul together gently. I feel the warmth and love emitting from your work. And that is so beautiful. You make art beautiful by making me realise how it makes my heart feel. Thank you.
One of the best movies I’ve seen and one of the films that established Villeneuve as one of my favorite active directors. Every film he’s made has been amazing.
i watch this movie when i was 10 or 11 and I cant stop crying when I saw the ending. my family never understand the reason that triggers my cries. i cannot explain how overwhelming it is, but the movie to me is exclaiming adaptation and beauty, and I truly adore your channel for crafting great edits like this! you have a incredible taste in movies.
It was the first movie to surprise me in years and as I've discovered more about the production, cinematography, sound and music it's become my favourite movie of all time
Thank you so much for making these videos. It's amazing how in less than 5 minutes you could be reminded that life really is profound and beautiful. Hope that one day you could make one for The Fountain or perhaps Cloud Atlas.
This movie is an absolute banger. From the dark, dystopian, personal, eye soothing visuals, to the atmospheric sound mixing, to the writing, the story, the performances, the characters, and everything. It’s just top notch. The way they delivered the mystery and sci-fi elements with the engaging, non linear structure of the story, and the banger of a twist by the end, all while not losing the focus on character development, is just mind blowing. The way the movie ends with the question, on an emotional beat; “If you knew your life from start to finish, would you change things?” It’s too deep, and makes us question time and reality. It also provides an insight on how humans would react if actual stuff happened like this in real life. Amy Adam’s carried the whole movie. Her character is our perspective throughout the film, she takes us on a bizzare journey, which leads to her discovering her whole life in front of her, and all of the bad things that’s going to happen to her. But nevertheless, she continues her journey, and that again makes us question our reality of time. It’s just one of the great experiences I’ve had with a sci-fi movie. The emotions, the every tone, it all resonates to a perfectly crafted sci-fi movie, and I doubt it will be rivalled for a long time. Missed it in theatres, but I’m glad that I even got to watch it. It’s an underrated masterpiece. One of Denis Villenvues visual spectacles…
It may not be the movie with the most mind bending experience... But I have to say... It's one movie with a moving experience and with a fresh and unique(similar to Interstellar/Solaris) style. (Cinematography+Acting+score=Great)
This film is one of the few films that genuinely moved me from the inside it wasnt just movie it was an experience an emotion it was profound ever since it stuck up with my soul in a way that i cant explain
Great movie. Well worth the time to watch. imo. One must be alert for & work through the… time bending moments. I’ve rewatched it a couple of times. A thinking person’s sci-fi.
I remember the day when I was reporting (essentially, it’s a spoken essay on an assigned/chosen subject in our country) on the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis before the class. After I’ve done my reporting my classmates asked me why should they care about its existence? “It’s not like major languages are ALL THAT different”, they said. Well, imagine what. After 3 months after that, this MASTERPIECE comes out and I go with those classmates. Their faces and feelings told me enough, no better example is needed.
Today I have seen this movie and it’s amazing, masterpiece shots, the visuals was so damn good. I honestly still thinking about the ending how she can be relevant himself.
I am still a high school student when i watched this movie, and I have to admit it is this movie determines my mind to study a language in the future, and without any hesitation, i chose English as my major in university🎓.
This movie and interstellar, shutter island, inception will forever stick with me and they changed a lot abt the way i see life . « Memory is a strange thing. It doesn't work like I thought it did. We are so bound by time.. »
