Ive played just about every competitive game and everyone is talking about how mobas and fps games are worse. Trust me. Trash talking is one thing. But a silent 1v1 match vs an unknown player using a known to be broken character at the time and repeatedly taunting you is the most enraging thing you’ll ever experience.
In competitive games you don't complain about powerful characters you play them. Doing otherwise just makes you a scrub.

Why this is a bad thing? Taunting is also part of the game plan. If you opponent wants to bait you doing nothing, you can bait him instead. If your opponent is already baited and hyped and beating your ass = obviously you have no free window to taunt, but if you had you would definitely taunt more. Nothing serious, it's just part of the game.

Luis Ortiz This is common in other games , and specifically other fighting games. MK11 is notorious for this online. SFV is not as bad as MK but still has this kind of player.
Some FPS games are like this too. Tekken is generally not like this, but it also isn’t usually as broken as it is now. Once they fix, this type of action will probably be less prominent.
They literally teach you how to bm with fatalities, it's not unexpected to run into toxic people there. But on the flipside they added the mercy function. Even if MK11 is more toxic for sure, that still leaves tekken at second place for toxicity.

It's not toxic at all. Taunting is a core part of the game. If you get hurt by it you really don't have thick enough skin for competetive fighting games.

Maybe the toxic part is when his rival doing some sort of taunt(or emote in brawlhalla) that tells him(this guy) is playing bad. But he did comeback though thats pretty nice
