our 2 tower to climb up the tower onto the roofs then side door to the tower to ring

now here is some of the bells being tested first to make sure they are ok to ring otherwise now this was done on top of the church roofs walking across the side roofs to climb the tower to come and have a quick go at covering to bob triple myself ringing the big tenor bell 22cwt when i rang the bell it kept droping a couple of times but when i moved my hands up the tail end it was fine i had more controll over the bells the clock mecanisum is inside the ringing chamber like doncaster minster in south yorkshire and tickhill st mary the virgine is its in the ringing chamber no clock face dials these churches are faceless means there isnt a clock face on the upper tower no but still can chime and strike the hours quarters as normall the thing about these churches is you may not know what time it is but when you here a church chiming or striking the hours quarters its telling its quarter past or half past the hours or the quarter to the hour or even the full hours with a full chiming and then striking for what hours it is we all have ears to hear the church clocks chiming well like i said not every parish church or cathedral dosnt have clock faces to drive the gears to chime or strike even sailsbury cathedral and lincoln cathedral central bell tower has no face dials but has a chiming clock inside which chimes every 15 mins then great tom a 5 tons bell which is to strike the hours by stuart mills even durham cathedral has no clock faces on the cathedral tower it still has 10 bells for full circle ringing still does the westminster chimes every hour quarter hours cant always afford to mend the clock faces dont have the money even ledbury and great malvern in worcestershire their churches dont have clock faces no but still chimes for the hours quarters ok enjoye the history on howden minster
