Swatching Deep Deep Light handmade watercolour paints - part 3 - Shibui palette

  • Hello and welcome to my channel. In this video I’m swatching the Shibui palette from Deep Deep Light.
    This palette is a collaboration between Deep Deep Light and their ambassador artist Kateri Ewing.
    Shibui (an adjective) or shibusa (a noun) is a Japanese aesthetic that appreciates imperfection, natural forms and nature. Shibui colours are usually darker, muted tones.
    I love this palette - colours are so beautiful and calming and pure joy to work with. The colours work well without mixing, however they can be mixed to make even more natural tones. I’m not a fan of metallic paints, however I really like Darkling - it has just the perfect amount of sparkle in it.
    I don’t have all the pigment numbers and that’s ok, let’s appreciate these beautiful paints without getting technical about it.

    Nice palette. The earthy and soft colours go so well together. And the music was really nice choice.

    Beautiful colour palette. I have yet to buy some Deep Deep Light but will do soon most definitely they are so gorgeous
