They made Max and Liz with their chemistry. A touch, a hug meant so much, you could almost feel their love for one another. No tv series could ever replicate that kind of love.

This was such a crushing episode.... How they could make her do this was heartbreaking... I always cry through it.

As a man now in his 30's, this show had a real lasting impression and this episode still holds up amazingly all these years later. Shame I had to use alternative means to get the show on DVD with the correct tv music.

This breaks my heart watching this- It was and still is the best love story ever and they did an amazing job at making us believe it was real. I am so glad they ended up married though- it ended the story in the most perfect way.

+Angel Santos I just ordered a set of 7 of the books out of curiosity, so I hope you're right. I had read a good portion of the first book years ago and enjoyed it, so I finally decided to buy some of them. You probably already know this, but the author of the books actually wrote an episode for the series in season 3--it's the one about the New Year ("A Tale of Two Parties"). I can tell that her main purpose in writing that episode was to emphasize that in her books the main characters were all close friends with each other, including Max and Maria, Liz and Michael, and so on--not just the main romantic pairings and previously existing friendships (e.g. Liz and Maria), as the show mostly tended to focus on. At least that's the impression I got. I'll find out more when the books come in the mail.
I have just recently started watching the remake. Because, I felt like it would tarnish the memories I have of this show, the love I shared watching this show. Just how much it means to me. I've watched all 3 seasons of the original so many times. The new version will never come close to how amazing this show is.
Well, the new version is also for the newer generation that’s how it works when they make reboot is usually for the newer generation not our classic generation just like in the future, there might be another show in the future about this they’re not gonna stop making roommates cause eventually there’s gonna be another generation future with it thenthat’s just how it works but I think the remake is kind of different than what the radiologist of they use their names but it’s a little different too. They’re trying not to fully copy the original but again I like the original better to me the classic is a lot better than the remake. I have wash all the episodes from the remake but I like the classic better.

I can't remember how long it been since I watch this show and when I think of this song I think about Max and Liz and what they had to go though so that they can be together but no matter how much they try there are always something or someone pulling them away and when I listen to this song it made me happy how at somewhere in the near future they we're happy only for a while before they had to undo their happiness so that the world can have a future but in the end everything worked out somehow and I'm glad :)

Great video. It makes me miss this show even more. I've been watching it again. This is one of those shows that will just always stay with me.
This episode always makes me cry. And hearing Sheryl Crow singing in the background makes me cry harder. I hated when something would interfere with Max and Liz's love. They deserve to be happy with each other, and something was always trying to break them up.

I think this is the best episode of television of all time. Its perfect from beginning to end. From madam Vivian to Max disappearing, I love every minute of it.

same here. I didn't like where the show led and wished the whole Tess/baby arc never happened. I hated Tess then and still do with a passion. So I repeatedly watch the episode and this especially for remembrance of true love..
I don't know why but it's just beautiful to see future max dancing with present liz.
PS: there's a reboot for roswell with diff casts, i hate it!

I was searching roswell videos, and I cameacross this song, without knowing it's significance. I listened to it all day for three days, over ans over until I knew eery word and then I got to the episode and I just cried. Thank you for posting this... and I shall now return to my roswell-athon... now on Season 2 ep7, and it's 4am... I need a life :D

+FreakyLynx Personally, I think that season 3 is right up there with season 1, at least concerning Max & Liz, that is. It feels different, but develops them very well as a strong couple that feels real, and obviously the ending was great.

It is this episode of Roswell that sets it apart from all other love stories. A teenage girl sacrifices the love of her life for the future of the world. If only there were really teens who could look into the future and realize that today isn't the be all and end all of life. .. This makes Roswell the greatest love story ever told (besides the love story of Jesus). I will believe in Shiri Appleby wherever she goes. Thank you Shiri for making me believe. Liz Parker 4ever!

I keep watching Roswell on my DVDs and now on netflix and still cannot get enough of this beautiful show and of my fav couple Max and Liz. I love and hate this episode. it was beautifully done, but it made me cry because Liz had to make Max fall out of love with her and that made me sad. What is worse is that he went to Tess which I hated and they were each other's first which I also hated. I love the song in this episode though. i wish this show is on the air stil.
+ScorpianMyst The whole concept of Future Max was stupid in every way, but at least it allowed Max & Liz's love to remain pure in some ways while slogging through the usual soap opera tropes of betrayals and pregnancies. Max & Liz still only truly loved each other, and were forced to do bad things to each other rather than truly betraying each other. In terms of writing, it's incredibly lame, but it was a way to keep Max & Liz special while giving them reasons to struggle as they reconciled and grew as people in the following season. Thank goodness there was a season 3!

I just finished re-watching the final episode after a whole week of watching only Roswell and now I don't know what to do! They definately need to bring it back! But set in today, how they coping, what is going on, whos found them etc. The same main actors/actresses would be amazing! Jason Behr in 2013? Complete hottie! Though I don't think Alex could come back unless Tess gave him some alien powers before she killed him - but, a fourth season, 11 years after season 3 ended, would be epic!

What I never got was when they kiss he could always see into her and I am wondering why he did not see his future self in the episode or later on. Gosh I miss this show.
Maybe because the future Max was present in this episode so he couldn't see the future. Also, when Liz had told the future max why he will not himself tell Max about what was going to happen and future max had replied to liz: he can't otherwise he would disintegrate.

As many of us have realized the eps on netflix and on the DVDs have different music than what was originally on the episode due to licensing issues which really suck because it is shows that play these songs and we watch that the songs get popular or get popular again. I heard this song the 1st time it aired with this episode and loved it that I bought the song.
wow! this was an amazing video! its crazy how time passes by. it felt like yesterday when i was watching it on the wb. I just was a commercial with Sheryl appleby was going to come out on a new show on the cw. and it brought me back to roswell. had to youtbe roswell. Thanks for the video. it took me back to happy and sad times. made me tear up!!!! I miss roswell, it was truely a good show. Needed better writers!!
