I was born in early 80s and raised here. My generation saw the biggest development of KL in the 90s. A lot of changes occured in the late 90s especially after kl tower and twin tower was become the highlight of kl skyline. Comuter train came in 95 and LRT start operating in 96. Yoahan mall was my childhood favourite mall because it was the only mall with indoor theme park but stop operating in late 90s. Those days we don't have cyber cafe culture, cyber cafe only came in 99 and became famous in early 2000s. There is only one highway in KL which connects to other klang valley cities which is federal highway. Kesas came in around 1997. Taxi (nissan) was famous during that time, also mini bus. No mat rempit culture in the early 90s. Migration from other states occured in late 90s causing a lot of social problems in kl.
Mat Rempit's back then in the 90's were more civilized than nowadays. They used to ride scrambler bikes, Suzuki TXR150 (Panther), first gen Yamaha RXZ/RXS, probably TZR/TZM, Honda NSR. But enough with rempit's culture. One thing for sure is during the 90's, there are many advancement in technology and construction. Sadly, that construction part was never stopped till now, and KL nowadays are too clumped with new buildings as well as (nearly) overpopulated.
