The more of these kinds of videos the better. Doesn't even need to be specifically product-tailored. Simply watching some good anglers fishing Daiwa gear in all kinds of environments. The kind of content I think we all love.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Adam Costa does a great job of demonstrating these and their effectiveness. That guy cleans up effortlessly.
He certainly does!
Thanks for showing the new Junkie, i'll have to give them a try
Can’t count the amount of times I’ve watched these videos over and over! Love burning them on a 1/20-1/30 jighead then letting them flutter. Has proven to be a big bream magnet 👌.
The subtle action on the Flick is definitely a bream magnet mate!
Got a few packs of these recently, blessed them with a decent flatty 2nd cast using a 1/8oz in a 10mtr hole
Hi Tom another awesome video and I’m always learning off these clips . My Question is just snapped my favourite Rebellion spin rod we all have a favourite as you can not get them anymore which is the rod that is close to it in the Daiwa range I have had Daiwa all my life reels and rods and I’m 63 😊the rebellion was ulrs thanks you are keeping us in suspense with something great coming also great bream I love these guys I get a lot of stick from the guys at boat ramp chasing bream there motto bigger better not on a 2 lb leader😅😂
Tom could you show us what you see on the sounder to find these bream next time. It would be interesting see how you interpret your sounder. Keep up the good work love the videos
Hi mate. I didn’t use a sounder at all this day.
This was fishing a visible weed edge. The weed stopped growing in around 6ft of water, and was about 1ft from the surface. I saw the edge of it with my sunglasses (I wear Maui Jim’s) and a few casts was enough to see there was some fish around holding on the edge of the weed.
@@tomslater574 ah I see, thanks for the reply Tom!
Been loving these land base harbour fishing. Throwing them with a 0/20 or smaller jerking them erratically then pause and have been getting smashed on the pause.
That’s awesome to hear!
Epic vid. Super informative.
When fishing lightly weighted plastics, are you drifting with the tide or using your electric to push up against it?
Usually drifting with the wind and using the electric to correct the course if needed. You want to be using the wind to help your cast
Need some rock fishing daiwa videos!!
Excellent Vid again Tom, can I ask the reasoning of not using a landing net?
Lazy 😂 hahaha
@@tomslater574 lol, braver than me, I'd get a treble in me the first time i try that with a hard body.
I'm wondering why you don't use a loop knot ? Nice Bream session, cheers.
I don’t like loop knots in leaders under 8lb
personally i love the new risky critter as i use it for carp in Vic and reddies love it in the structure but if they had smaller profile nymph like type of lure in yabbie uv i think it would be unstoppable.
That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. You never know, a nymph might have to be on the cards for the future!
👍👍👍👍👍
wondering what leader knot you use the fg knot is too hard to tie on 4 and 5ib for me
I tie an improved slim beauty. We have a video of how to tie it on the channel here - ruclips.net/video/uWSbH-TygmE/видео.htmlsi=Rzl9lzIm5Cbn20VC
@@tomslater574 cheers
2000s Revelry FC I'm guessing, what rod is it paired with?
Yep 2000S paired with a mix of SK 732ULFS and EX702LFS. With the new 23 Infeet range now the EX 742L+XS would be my #1 choice for this technique.
What line you using too? Cheers
@@bloodsea76 that trip I had Saltiga Durasensor X8 in PE #0.8
@@tomslater574how suitable would the sk 732ulfs be for land based soft plastics for bream and perch?
how do they go on the yellowfin? without the 'black bream pause'?
Still very effective. Same technique, the 295 Flick just won the ABT Grand Final at Port Stephens on yellowfin doing a very similar retrieve.
Hey mate, i was just wondering if you have a store on the Gold Coast? Ive been looking for a baitcaster and everyone i talked to has said go to daiwa, i was wondering if you had a stor or something similar and i could possibly come and visit and get a look and fell to see if its going to be right for me. If not, do you pehaps have a left-hand retrieve baitcaster around $175??
I also loved the video
Sporty’s Fishing or Doug Burt’s TackleWorld both on the Gold Coast will be able to assist you!
@@DaiwaAustralia Thanks mate
6:23 is that rigged upside down?
Where can I get a bait junkie hat?
Keep an eye out next year. We might do a limited run
Mantap 👍👍👍👍
Why not a snap for easy lure change? Don't think it much difference of using snap vs not
Affects the action of the lure
Great marketing. Every lure should have its own video to showcase that they actually work. I’m becoming a fan of Daiwa.
What’s the secret ? How can you see what’s even watching ya soft plastic or even what’s around ya ?. When I fish I can’t see 💩 - water don’t look that clear.
This trip we were fishing quite clear water. But even when fishing in stained water, you can learn a lot from reading the water or using electronics if your fortunate enough to have them
