Hoopers is still very new here in UK but new training clubs becoming easier to find. Hoopers is more widespread in USA & Netherlands. Suggest you do an internet search for trainers in your local area. My dogs were already doing agility when I decided to start hoopers, which made transition fairly easy. Why not purchase or make some hoops & give it a go with your dog for starters. First step is shaping/building value for your dog to go through a hoop with ease. Lots of vidoes here on RUclips to help inspire you.
I use same cues for both agility & hoopers distance handling. Verbals used in this video include Go! for straight ahead send. Check, check for complete turns around cone or barrel, Left & Right for soft turns & Digga,Digga for 180 degree turns. Also used Out! for pin wheel turns. My distance handling has become more advanced since this video was made! Will upload more recent videos when time allows.
How do you start this with your dog? Is there a club or something like that

What verbal cues are you using for different actions thanks
