- Welcome to my channel all about my journey through symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of Oesophageal Cancer in the UK.
In this video i would like to share my journey 1 month after I had a full oesophagectomy gastrostomy resection surgery.
Hi Gareth…. I hope you’re doing well 🙏. I’m on the start of the journey…diagnosed 4 weeks ago…with chemotherapy to start in 3/4 weeks with a view to the surgery later in the year…your video’s have inspired me to face this head on…please give a thumbs up if you’re doing 👍
Hi Gareth, how are you getting on? I have been thinking about you recently and hope that you are okay. Let me know even if it’s just a thumbs up 🙏🏻
Hope all is well at Ur side ۔
How's Ur chemotherapy going on۔
Sigh of relief to see coping up with all the hardship.
I was desperately waiting for your update.
Stay strong
My Father who is 70 is going through the same,he finished the brutal 4 cycles of FLOT just a week ago and is still struggling to come out strong out of the last chemotherapy.
PetScan and surgery will be planned.
Hi Gareth I am just starting same Journey that you have had and am quite concerned about the Chemo which should start next week as I am 81.However I am determined as you were to fight. Would like to hear from you when you feel up to it as to your progress. Any update is appreciated. Get well soon.
How you doing now mate? Much love ❤
I’m sorry you had some complications, but hope you are on the upswing. You have a positive attitude which is so important, keeping you in my prayers 🙏🏻
So good to see you Gareth 👍🏻 this is a long road and there will be setbacks so don’t stress too much, take each day and challenge as they come. FYI - the nerve damage on the bottom of the right peck does get better with time…I am 2 years post op and still have some numbness and strange sharp sensations but it is nothing like when I first had the surgery…then it felt like a steel band around my chest and sharp pins and needles sensation which wasn’t very pleasant. Keep fighting 💪🏻 I am rooting for you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much. Very reassuring about the nerve damage pain. That is exactly what it is like. Difficult to tolerate even clothing touching it at times. I’m so glad you’re well and have got through it. 🙏🏻
Can I contact you please.
I am very much worried about my father's treatment. His chemotherapy has just ended and next step will be surgery after PETSCAN.
You’re a very compelling story teller.
Wishing you all the best in your battle.
Glad you are feeling better, after a rough patch. Hope your cough goes soon.
Thank you so much. It means an awful lot. ❤️
