I must say tho that this bathroom thing is wild to me. Im from sweden and i don't think i have ever in my life been in a house with more than maybe 2.5 baths. Like one en-suite, one for the rest of the house and maybe a small half bath. Like this thing with all bedrooms having bathrooms just does not exist here ahahaha.

If you're building a pool, a nice thing to look into is a pool gate to keep all the little ones safe. It can add a lot of peace of mind considering how dangerous pools can be.

OMG YOUNG APSYN😭😭 also I think people also need to realize that they’re relatively early on in their building process and stuff like this usually goes through lots of delays so they have a lot longer to still enjoy their current house!

Funny the different names of builds. In New Zealand we would call a “custom home” a spec home or just new build. Other style would be a house & land package. To me a house and land package sounds like a custom home 😆

Building is actually cheaper :) I’m a mortgage broker and have built both my homes! We tried buying used, but you just don’t get as much for your money!

In terms of more materialistic goods, their kids are going to have the best life. I get you shouldn’t spoil your kids or spend money on materialistic goods but if they have the funds to build a house with cool features and amenities , go for it. If I had the money I would too!!

Here in germany, when you build a house, you stay there for ever. Noone would built two or three houses and move so often. Houses here are so expensive, its not possible.
People don't understand that these have also been investments for you. They think building=forever or even buying=forever. My husband and I bought a home in Hawaii as investment and everyone assumed we were not moving back. Lol.
Also you have married as long as I have you have not moved a lot, I promise 🤣 as a military family I promise! I've moved five times in 6 years 🥴
