It's a little weird to hear someone, even LSV, call Say It's Name "pushed" when the (non-Atlanak summoning) instant-speed version came out over 8-years ago in Eldritch Moon, Grapple with the Past.
Oh man, I wasn't aware Meathook II continued to do the "pay 3 life or else..." thing as long as it stays on the field, I thought it was a one time thing so I didn't understand why it was so expensive lol. Should've actually read the card.
I just got back into magic after 3 years. Played my first tourney on monday, just had a thought to myself I wonder if CFB and LSV is still jamming. Well I'm glad to see some things never change. oddly comforting.
This has got to be the best deck I've seen any streamer draft in this set so far. So many bombs, so much synergy, too bad you couldn't pull this one off at Worlds later this month eh?
Hey LSV, looking back at the draft after you've played your matches, would you have played the second Valgavoth that you passed on? I would assume still no, but curious to hear your thoughts.
Is enduring vitality potentially good enough for constructed? That’s some not too shabby stats that can do some potentially scary things. But I’m kinda out of the loop on that so likely either A) I’m an idiot and it’s unplayable in constructed or B) I’m an idiot and people are already playing it lol
It's seeing play in a tier two standard deck with Stormsplitter and a bunch of cantrips to combo off. Other than that I don't think I've seen it in much else as of yet.
In the 2nd match couldn't you have cast Say its name returning Valg's faithful and then re-animated either the Vile Mutilator or the Valgavoth you ended up flipping? Its a 7-mana play and you had 8 at the time, seems better than playing Overlord imo.
I think valgavoth is a pretty toxic card to have in a draft format. Still a fun draft to watch, but seeing valgavoth hit the field to prompt an immediate concession once is enough. That has been my experience every time playing this format as well.
@@hunhun7155 It's the first rank, where it takes a lot of wins to get out of. You get deranked when you loose and it takes more wins than before to advance. Also, I think most plat and diamond players aren't really that much worse than mythic players, when it comes to draft.

I agree. A really strong, hard to get onto the field big bad monster, that almost always wins you the game, but is still defeatable
