Just found your channel 👍🏼 Best wishes from Southern California USA. I enjoy the views of Australia at the windshield of your vehicle. Stay safe keep up the good work
Yea Thank you for helping us out, you're the kind of migrants us truckies want driving trucks here in this country, get more of your mates here, love to be sharing the road with you, rather than others.!!😁 Euro standards are very high which shows through on your vids. Great work!
Time flies when your working 5-6 days a week. I always hated 4 am to sunrise. Just dragged. After sun up always felt better. Nice part of the world around Byron, good weather, nice and green, nice new dual lane road. Rivers good size and a few hills to break it up. Keep on truckin with the shiny side up.
I’m a retired toad train and interstate truck driver, I’m so glad you’ve chosen to drive trucks in Australia, I hope your stay here has been a good experience, we need more young people like you to keep our transport industry alive, you seem like you enjoy your job so find a nice Aussie truck driver & settle down in Australia.
Thanks for the explainer about how you came down here. Its great they do an education course to teach young truck drivers over there, it something we're missing here. Cheers, and keep up the great work.
From what I have learned from European trucking videos trucking in Australia seems very attractive. There is much less congestion, annoying paperwork and changing regulations, fuel theft and load security. Then there is the fantastic scenery, little snow and less parking congestion. It seems we will be fortunate to see an army of well-qualified Danish truck drivers joining us here. Before they get here they will find it hard to believe how often you can feel as if you are the only person on the road. May that continue forever.
Hi emmelie great to watch a true professional safe and courteous truck driver going about her job with the minimum of fuss so wishing you safe miles watching from queensland ( keep on trucking )
its showing the ordinary moments, middle of the night, no sleep worn-out moments, really enjoyable, honest appraisal of your day, you're doing a great job Emmelie
Hi Emmelie nice see you have come to Australia and working here i enjoy your channel allot keep up the great work. I have family i Copenhagen and Roskilde. I am truck driver as well Cheers Kurt Frisendahl Hansen
Hi Emmelie Greetings from sunny Adelaide. Another great video. So pleased you chose to come to Oz, over Canada. Definitely the right decision ! I had the choice, between Canada and Oz, more than 50 years ago and have not looked back. Now that you have been in Oz for a few months we'll have to 'sign you up' and make you honorary Aussies. You'll never want to return to cold dark wet Europe ! thanks for taking us along.
I'm glad you made the move, quite an adventure but I strongly recommend learning to drive manual trucks to further your horizons. Most manual trucks require one to 'float' the gearbox or not use the clutch except for start/stop, sounds difficult but not. Almost any manual gearbox can be 'floated' so learning in a small vehicle the principles before moving to larger ones is best practice. The reason for 'floating' is because the clutch just cannot handle the huge loads placed on it during gear change but a manual box is more reliable and less complicated than an auto. I hope you enjoy your time here and perhaps get to go further afield, Australia is a big place and trucks and their drivers are a huge part of our economy. Do well Emmelie.
I have been driving manual here a few times, and we are working on getting my manual license soon too 😁 I also drive without clutch, unless starting or stopping 😅
Glad you came to Australian, glad you love the country, hope you enjoy yourself and all that Australian can offer,my partner over the moon as your English is good, you can back a truck,he happy that you join in with Australian and willing to have a crack of being a Australian, heard you swear in one of your video, good on you girl, you soon have the trucker slang down pat,❤and yes time flys, being a trucker partner we don’t see much of each other, all trucker with family knows this, good video.
At the end of the video, while I wash, I explain how I ended up trucking over here 😅 Or do you want a story of how I ended up as a truck driver in general?
Hi Emmelia I'm new to the channel and like your channel so far, your English is excellent,I'm guessing you learnt your English in school, look forward to the next episode please show us beautiful sunsets/sunrisings ❤
Hey Emmelie, great video. You’re getting much better and the footage is well edited. Hey just wanted to ask what WFM are like to work for? I’m a casual part-time driver and WFMs gear and routes look good.
Hi love watching your blogs. Does it frustrate you washing trucks and changing so many.. why can’t you just be given 1 truck and it’s your to maintain and look after.. WFM are a big company .. I see them up and done the highway every night.. i do a change over Monday to Thursday night.. brisbane to Kempsey and back.. anyway keep up the good work and drive safe..
I have a guestion: can you play the video’s in normal speed? So I it is easyer to watch for me. ( and I think for more older viewers ) greating from Holland 😊
Have you got used to the fact you can drive that far and still be in the same country , like if you drove the same distance how many countries would you have crossed if you did this trip back home
Haha I dont even know 🤣 probably a lot 😅 back home I had more stops though, and in general it takes more time to go places, especially in winter time, battling with snow and chains 😅
@@EmmelieWCarlsen that’s nice but how did you acquire that semi I have a 5 speed not a semi so I think I got a feel for manual. How did you get the connections or did you apply to your company?
Hey just wondering would the company you work for take on a new zealand truck driver im keen on doing some driving in Australia. Could you ask your bosses of I could be considered
Hello. You and I have a few things in common. WE have the same surname and a connection to Denmark. My Great Grand Father, Hans Lauritz Carlsen was born in Gyrstinge, Denmark 1855 and came out to Australia about 1890. I do know that i have relatives in the U.S. Are there many people in Denmark with the surname Carlsen? A relative in Brisbane just did the family tree and wow. I knew very little about my family. Do any of these places mean anything to you? Tvis Rinkebing Denmark, Sankt Hans Odense Denmark, Kobenhuan Denmark, Sankt Knud Odense Denmark, Vorfrue Kirke, Kobenhaun Denmark, Herlufmagle, Praesto Denmark, Hunderup, Ribe Denmark, Gyrstinge Denmark. What about these names. Carl Frans Hageman Carlsen - born 1750, Carl Christian Christensen Carlsen - born 1774, Julius Theodor Carlsen - born 1820. Maybe we are related, maybe not. It's a question that i ask alot to people who have the same surname as me. Who knows. ,
It’s a pretty common surname in Denmark, also the name of a publisher. My roots are mostly Swedish, and Carlsen is actually from my dads stepdad, after his dad died, while he was 3, my grandma moved from Sweden to Denmark and found a new man
You are a great ambassador for the project and your employer must feel very lucky to have such a professional and meticulous employee.
Thank you for coming here and helping our country. Truckies carry Australia and it looks like you are doing a great job. Drive safe.
