What is Ecrew? When I had to uproot and move to Indiana, there was a car community called Bcrew (B for Bloomington, Indiana). These guys became my family. Instead of partying on the weekends, I was working on cars- and I loved it. Since starting youtube, I have started what I call Ecrew. It's not supposed to be some childish "Logang squad." It's a community where you get to take 10min out of your day and be involved in a build, but more importantly it's a family.

I can vouch for Bill. I’ve known him for over 15yrs, he’s worked on my Subbie before STi’s were a thing states. And we were doing Imported STi swaps. This is back when he lived in the Bay of course. But he always goes above and beyond.

This is sick! Just had my 06 2.5 WRX stage 2’d and tuned, pushing around 307 on 95octane and 345 on 99

*EMELIA* - You should be able to advance your Ignition Timing on E85; this is because Ethanol cools the charged-air (compressed air) coming into the cylinders *more* than gasoline does (hotter for charged-air cooling). As a result, your Knock thresholds are pushed closer to or past MBT Ignition Timing (spark hook test curve) - therefore, you can gain power (mechanically) since your peak cylinder pressure point in crankshaft degrees, happens closer to TDC (top dead center). So the peak cylinder pressure is occurring at a sooner point in the crankshaft revolution (from top to bottom), as oppose to further or later in the crankshaft revolution (less time/duration of force applied during entire downward rotation/revolution on the combustion stroke).
*Torque = Force x Distance*
*Pressure = Force / Area* so, algebraically, *Force = Pressure x Area* and thus, *Torque = (Pressure x Area) x Distance*
Piston surface (area) | Combustion Event (Pressure) | Force (Pressure applied over entire defined Area) | Distance (crankshaft stroke)
Ignition event happens at a Calibrated/Tuned value in degrees before TDC - but the combustion event takes TIME to fully expand, so peak cylinder pressure happens AFTER TDC. THIS IS WHAT WE'RE AFTER! That "time" for the Combustion Event can be referred to as the Burn-Rate - which is dependent on air density, air temperature, area/region over which the event occurs. Ignition Timing varies w/ engine RPM due to the "time" the combustion event takes to occur relative to the piston moving faster up/down in the cylinder - so in order to keep peak cylinder pressure occurring at the same point in crankshaft degrees relative to increasing engine RPM, one must advance the ignition timing. BUT REMEMBER, this varies w/ engine LOAD (air density entering the cylinders).
Generally, high load and mid-high RPM, is where you see the least amount of Ignition Timing - mid-range/steady state cruising RPMs at low load is where you see the most amount of Ignition Timing advance.
So on E85, the ignition timing values in degrees goes UP, cause we're ALL trying to shift peak cylinder pressure points closer to MBT (maximum best torque).
Sigh...

Zachary Wilburn lol... I was actually looking for a way to pass, hoping that Flowmaster had a carb converter for my car so that I could get a tune with a working rear o2 sensor. So since Flowmaster doesn’t and I don’t “know a guy” (I’d rather honestly pass)... I guess I can’t possibly tune my car legally in California.
Unequal length headers would be perfect for a two scroll... what was he talking about? Send the right cylinder bank through the first scroll and the other bank to the other scroll. I don’t know if anyone makes a header setup for a twin scroll but it’s definitely possible to run and would work better than an in-line four two scroll setup

You should do headers, bore out your up ppe for EWG, upgrade the intercooler and do larger inj/pump and youll have a beast of a car

She'll get clicks so that sounds like a good idea. For the average person with a WRX, I would advise against it, if it's their daily driver. I did the larger turbo, supporting mods, etc, etc .... and it was fun, but it cost a lot of money to maintain. For a daily driver, I suggest a downpipe, full exhaust, and tuning or do a mild turbo upgrade (nothing too crazy so you're not building new transmissions every week).
