Thanks for showing us how to dye seam binding. Great tip about wetting the seam binding first. Also about using lighter ink to Chang the depth of the color.💝💝💝💝
I just got my antique linen this week. I like using it in place of vintage photo on white paper. I'm so glad I found this video on your Kofe account. some of my colors are pretty deep and I now have the option of lightening them to get a more muted color! thanks! Oh I bought the white ribbon too. Even in the US it would be expensive to buy the colors I would like.
Hi Gi!! I went to Etsy last night and had eight rolls of different colored Hug Snug rolls in my cart. The problem was that I needed another fifteen colors to satisfy my needs- for my journals. It was very expensive and I was so disappointed that I just exited the page and went to bed. This morning I’m watching your video... and thank goodness for you sharing this!!!! Brilliant!!! I sent an order in for one white and one eggshell. I think I’m set for a while now.😍. Thank you for sharing this video... yes, the colors you made are beautiful!!!!! 😘💕
Saving $$$$... buying the color seam binding when you showed how to make my own colors. Lovely ideal! Thanks 😊 for sharing. Can’t wait to get started soon !! 😊😊🥳
What a wonderful idea Gi. Been wanting some seam binding & now seeing how you have dyed your own I must get some Hug Snug and get cracking in dyeing some! I am so learning a lot from you my dear. Be safe & TYFS
How beautiful have these colours turned out... very creative Gi... mixing the antique linen with your chosen colours has just done the trick... Awesome ❣️
lovely colors Gi....the antique linen gives the colors a base that makes them all blend beautifully together...may have to heat them to make them colorfast tho...will give this a go as have only ever used staz on before..thanks for sharing this idea
Thank you! I’ve had questions about seam binding. . . What kind and where to buy it. I’ve dyed yarn and lace this way. Definitely have to buy some antique linen now! Haha
These are gorgeous! Since I only have one oxide color, I wonder if I could just use distress or archival ink? To get crinkly seam binding, I wet it and then scrunch it up adding a flat rubberband round and round to keep it in place as it dries. Then I just pull off the rubberband after it dries.
Wonderful color changes, I love this. Thank you

Thanks Susan, You can use distress ink, it works the same way. Rubber band is a great idea, Hugs GI x
Thank you so much!! I love this!!! 💖🥰 Does the color run if the dry seam binding gets wet again?
I probably would if you washed it. I have not had any problems with it in my journals or on my embellishmets. Hugs Gi x
