Absolutely brilliant. Enjoyed watching every minute. I encouraged me to roll my old c90 out the garage and get her sorted. It’s time she got out on some adventures!!
Brilliant Mike. Got me right in the mood with Sam Fender and the music never dipped. Loved the wee quirks in the route , ferry/Glen Loth. Best vid since yer euro tour round Croatia etc
Fantastic, the opening 3 mins setting the scene with the music and scenery. Great editing, and that fuel gauge showing low ... 'Fuck all'. Need to get one of them. Thank you great video.
My mate used to live in Reay. I'm terrified to stop in Caithness incase Mikey Sunter steals my underwear and sniffs my seat. You may have heard of him, he's a prolific underwear thief!
Sadly that's now hot it should look. Thankfully there's less and less support for the Grouse moors. It's weird that folk can get pleasure from shooting a bird you can practically walk up and touch. It says a lot about them though.
@@yodagoat I don't eat farm raised poultry, we get all of our pheasant/grouse/quail/duck from mother nature. We don't take birds sitting in the water or walking around. Do you not eat meat? I didn't know.. .Wasn't trying to ruffle your feathers.
Feathers are unruffled! Most of the folk who shoot grouse in Scotland don't do it for food and unfortunately it has a horrendous impact on how Scotland looks. It should be far more beautiful than it is. Luckily there's still a few places you can see how it once was, and the toffs that do the grouse shooting are losing hold on the land.
@@yodagoat I had no idea that it was problematic over there. Just so I'll be educated, what is the activity doing to cause damage to the countryside? Over here in the US, The biologists have heavily studied the impact of hunting pressure and found surprisingly that it does not have a significant impact on the bird numbers (which I was surprised by) rather, the factors of winter conditions, ground cover overgrazing by cattlemen and loss from wildfire and if it is a wet soaking springtime when the chicks are still not fully fledged are the cheif limiting factors... and more recently West nile virus was hard on their populations... We have to be willing to skip a season now and again if it was really tough on the birds just to help them in the rough times. But overall, it is how a lot of rural folks feed their families or at least augment their food stocks. Deer, elk, moose. caribbou, antelope, bison, waterfowl, wild pig, bear, and mountain lion are all excellent table fare, hormone and pharmaceutical free and able to live a life outside of the confines of a crowded cage, and reproduce as normal wild things are supposed to. They are cherished and we have a real culture that celebrates them as wild free parts of our ecosystem here. There are numerous organizations that contribute billions of dollars (and from hunting licenses sales) that do habitat improvement projects to augment and improve habitat and acquire lands (millions of acres) that will be taken off the table for human development. Streamside area enhancement, adding cover for fish to do better when they are young, building nesting platforms near marshlands, banding birds to gain more data as to their lifecycles and where they go... Maybe we just do things differently here in those regards... . Many folks involved with hunting and fishing here are just average people, it is not a "high society activity for royalty". it is the average guy trying to put food on the table and get outdoors with his dog and kids.
@yodagoat It's crazy at this time of year Mike. I try to get up North with my vstrom 650 as much as I can. You've captured it pretty well with your GoPro. You're quite a natural with making video blogs.
Ahh it's all coming back now. I visited John O'Groats in 2017. As always, your excellent video makes me need to return to beautiful Scotland. "You call THAT an adventure bike???" hahaha
I'm from Fife. I usually visit my mate and his wife in Tomintoul, on my Yamaha SR125, once a year in the summer, via Glenshee and the Lecht, I know that road well. He puts me up for the night. I need to get my bike back on the road for next year. You sound Scottish yourself. lol

Mikey, absolutely loved it. Thanks for taking the time to make the fly-past shots. They take ages but make the film so much more interesting. This is all my local stomping ground. I put up a film about a month ago where i took my old BSA C15 over the Cromarty Ferry. I often do Glen Loth and have a film of taking a Chinese Scooter over it. Love your films. How do you get such good sound from your helmet? Keep getting better and stronger. Hugh from near Alness.
Brilliant mate 😂 Ive just finished restoring a wee C90 ive had sitting in the garage for 15 years. Being a fat arse i went wae the 125 Lifan motor. Its not quite got the power of my Africa Twin but its a hoot. Are the Lomo panniers just the throwovers bro ? How have you attached them ? Im gonna try and use my Lomos too. Cracking video btw.
Aye, just the throw over bags. You need to make sure they don't rub on the bike though or you'll get a hole in them. If you look at the 8.50 mark on this video you'll see my solution. ruclips.net/video/xMWdBXYPgro/видео.htmlsi=_hHlDRJnqwrpHI1W
@@yodagoat brilliant mate, as if by chance I've got 2 nylon chopping boards in the garage that I got for another project. If you see a fat bloke on an Orange C90 hooning around Scotland, mind gie us a wave. 👍 Was looking at those 72 spoke wheels you got. Very nice, I'm thinking of the black ones but are they not a right royal pain in the arse to clean ??
Just what was needed on a miserable day, thanks Mike
Glad you enjoyed it mate.

Glen Loth will likely hit unmaintained status soon. It's hardly used but really worth riding.

Yes, use the right, and more expensive equipment. I'm being too much of a Scotsman. Your commentary is interesting.
I've been told I need to use less "interesting" language.
I'm older and suppose my ears burn a bit at times!🥴
