You don't even need to find a Dissonant System first, simply fire off an AI fragment in any system, open your Galactic Map, and PRESTO! The Dissonant System will have a Interceptor icon marker on it, and it will always be less than 100 LY away so any unmodded ship you just found can easily reach it! =D
I found a ship using an anomaly detector that bypassed everything. I was actually looking for a living frigate and kept getting a distress signal. It sent me to a planet where there was a crashed interceptor.

Yeah fighting sentinels is not for everyone. I don't mind it every once in awhile but no way in hell I am fighting sentinels everytime I want to check out a ship.
I realy like this update. The camps you find with the Echo thingy has great loot, especially the "Hand and Head" I got walker brains and stuff. But I did not know the Dreadnaught guided you straight to a ship, I thought it also showed a camp, good to know when I have found the multitools I want.
Can we gift Eco Locators to other players? My corrupted sentinel planet is a Planet of Light so the Eco Locators never trip. They need to be used in Dissonant systems controlled by a race (no pirate, abandoned, or uncharted dissonant systems) and the corrupted planet cannot be an exotic type.

Since we're duping now. While in your base - 1. Place your refiner 2. Pick up your refiner then cancel picking it up (placing it exactly where it was when you first placed it) 3. Put whatever the heck you want in there to dup 4. Pick up your Base computer then Cancel the Pick up. This sequence of steps duplicates the last item you picked up before the base computer. 5. Pick up and Cancel Base computer as often as you want, each time creates another refiner with whatever you put into it right ontop of the other (i.e if you Pick up/cancel the base computer 10 times, you will get 10x + 1 of the refiner and item you put inside) I find this faster and more easier than trying to perfectly place refiners.

Yep' that's how I got my 11 new ships. Also on the free setting you can take them all to the space station and upgrade storage for free. Also my favorite way to make Units is to go to a Gek system for more amounts of Haulers than other systems and buy A class Haulers for 10 mill 1 at a time then up grade all the storage slots on free and then scrap them for 10 times more. Easy make a 300 mill in around 20 minutes of 1st wave ships. Just buy and scrap as fast as you can. S class is even better.
one big major problem you can only get sentinel ships if you're settings is on normal or survival trust me I've tried my setting was on relaxed and you cannot find a system what says decimal they all say water if your settings are not normal. and RUclips videos are not the best reliable source of information
I really like the more difficult combat. I died to those jumping spider guys the first time around. I couldn't see where they were coming from cus they hide in among the purple crystals. I think its a deliberate design choice. The Neutron charge beam kills those big invisible walkers in 2 shots. And the plasma/paralysis nades smoke those little jumpers.
I found a sleek, black interceptor just using the echo locator method. I would advise newer players or players that haven’t really upgraded their ships yet to do that method. I would say it is much safer to do than the sentinel dreadnought method.
@@idesofmars I haven’t done this in forever, but here’s what I think you need to do. Find a dissonant system and on the planets there should be these purple mining things. Destroying them should trigger a corrupted sentinel fight. One of them is a spider sentinel. One you kill it you get the echo locater. You can use the echo locater to find a encampment, which can then be used to find a sentinel ship. This might have changed since the Autophage update but I hope it helps.
I haven't heard anyone mention it yet, but you can get that dreadnought detector thing to find a downed ship as a reward in frigate missions. I just scored one that way.

I find uaing the capital ship is a bit slower since you have to get in and out of it whereas flying from dissonant system to dissonant system on a star ship is quicker. However, I will say thanks for the tip on abandon systems. At first I also wasn't sure if that was the case, that there would'nt be any crashed ships in abandon systems but it feels like that is as I also haven't found any in dissonant systems that are abandon
Now that you're duping stuff - you can also just dupe the Harmonic Brain. That way you'll have some handy, if you want to just take a ship for a spin before deciding. :)
I haven't tried yet with a straight creative save. But as I said my save is normal but basically creative since I changed crafting and purchases to free. The only issue is if you have sentinels off you will need that on so you can fight them at least once to get your AI dreadnought fragments or echo locator to find ships. Also, I do plan on trying a live community event tonight on my channel where I will be giving these away so anyone who wants a new ship can get one.
I read that in the experimental branch of steam there is an update coming that makes the Sentinel Ships available for relaxed and Creative modes. I haven’t looked myself to confirm this.
They also need to have been undiscovered prior to the update as the dissonant systems that had beef discovered prior to the update don’t have the camps and ships on them
I got a sentinel ship that looks like a scarab and when it takes off spread its wings. Damn, I hate I didn't save the coordinate! I want to build a squad of terminator insecticon squad!

Yes easiest way to do this is to park yourself at a sentinel pillar that way once the fifth and most brutal wave starts you can turn off the sentinels at the pillar if you need to and still get the barrels and Echo locator

I found that you can also bypass the pilot interface in the same way you can cheeze drop pods by half opening a green cargo drop chest.

How do you get the Echo Locator?
You have to battle five waves of corrupt sentinels then the last sentinel drops an Echo locator in the barrel that drops when you kill it
