    Most underrated QB in the nation is Connor. He had the 2nd highest QB rating through 4 games last year and that was under Jimbos' horrible offensive scheme as well as horrible OL play. I can't imagine how good he will be with a better OL and offensive scheme. I'm predicting 9 wins if we do not have injuries like we have had the last few years.

    Elko probably has already brought a massive change in culture! In my opinion that’s a big change and it’s great!

    Minute 19:00. These guys must have forgotten that 2018 year where A&M played Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and LSU(all who ranked @ #1 at some point in the season)

    Great chat! The draft stats blew me away. With all of those top 10 classes; Only one 1st rounder, and only one 2nd rounder in those 4 years; this is what scares players away; NO Development. Jimbo had to go!

    I am one to say that Jimbo era was disappointing, but with that being said I disagree that Jimbo just let players do whatever they wanted. Jimbo suspended quite a few for bad behavior. We’re talking about players who if played properly would have given us an edge.

      It sounds more like he didn’t push them in practice. He just kinda let them loaf around and if their tummy hurt they sit out at practice. To me atleast

    I’m not looking too much into the ND game. It will be their first game in a very intimidating atmosphere for ND. They will either have a Red Shirt sophomore with no experience at QB or starting a Riley Leonard against his former head coach. Not a good match up.

      what scares me about Notre Dame is their defense wreaking havoc on our bad O-Line. Offensively they don't scare a bit especially with our improved secondary.

    • @JSum81
      @JSum81 4 месяца назад

      Spotlight or atmosphere wont be too big for ND, its ND for goodness sakes lol. ND running game with those backs, a solid O line as always, and a VERY athletic QB in Leonard can be very very problematic. You are also forgetting Denbrock is back at ND after being at LSU and playing SEC opponents.

    Conner isn't the answer they needs to start Marcel Reed...

    • @FlyingBizkut
      @FlyingBizkut 4 месяца назад +1

      Marcel needs some more time to develop before being QB1. He showed some needed areas of improvement in the bowl game, but I think he has a very bright future. Great athlete

      marcel has a lot of upside (I would say more than Weigman honestly), but I don't thisnk he is ready. He is only a 2nd year player, so he needs more time to develop. He needs to improve his accuracy. His first instinct is to throw it as deep as possible, which is good because it shows confidence, but there needs to be more nuance in his game. His second instinct is to use his feet, which at the bowl game resulted in him missing too many wide open receivers and resulting in lost yardage. Once he grows he will be a stud.

      Marcel Reed is great but Weigman is for sure the guy right now. Dude is very accurate, has a high completion percentage, hardly ever throws picks, etc. Dude is an old school pocket passer who’s electric. Stays in the pocket and gets the ball off as he’s getting hit.
      Reed is definitely the dude after though!

    Evan Stewart has completely become the scapegoat for last year’s failures and he was our 3rd best player on the offense behind Anias and Conner. He’ll dominate for Oregon and be a first round pick bc half of y’all bullied him out

    A&M definitely has the best punt coverage and return teams in college football, other than that they can't get a first down to save their lives. What, 11 punts in a spring game means offensive incompetence. You guys really just suck.

  • @chillxxx241
    @chillxxx241 4 месяца назад

    There is a lot of hate for Jimbo, but I’m not sure if development was the issue like Luicci is saying. A&M was never Alabama or Georgia in recruiting. They never had as much depth. Two or three top six classes are ok, but you aren’t going to get a ton of 1st rounders when they are all leaving school early as Juniors. The one record-breaking class he’s talking about still hasn’t graduated and Alabama and Georgia had stacked several similar classes and in Alabama’s case also dominated the transfer portal. He is comparing apples and oranges.

      They literally had the highest rated recruiting class of all time in 2022…and had multiple top 6 classes. They were certainly on par recruiting with LSU and had way less draft picks than them also

    • @chillxxx241
      @chillxxx241 3 месяца назад

      @@evilbunny5 Not really close to LSU. LSU has been doing this for a long time. LSU also has more “scholarship” level kids than any team outside of Bama because they use loopholes. LA students with the TOPs program.

    • @evilbunny5
      @evilbunny5 3 месяца назад

      @@chillxxx241 we’re talking about during jimbos tenure. A&M has been pretty much on equal footing with LSU in recruiting at that time

    • @chillxxx241
      @chillxxx241 3 месяца назад

      @@evilbunny5 A&M will never be on LSU level of recruiting in any sport because of TOPs. It gives LSU nearly 30 scholarship level athletes that are unaccounted for by the NCAA or recruiting services in football. It’s an even larger impact on the non-revenue sports. Nebraska used to do something similar in its heyday, but was forced to dismantle it when it joined the Big Ten conference and we’ve seen the results.

    I’m 43 and a Texas State grad. The Aggies were my college team from birth and to see what’s happened to the culture over there has been sad. They tried to be Miami in the 90s and it’s turned into a 🤡 show. Money doesn’t solve problems in football.
