Those do actually make a difference but for there to be a very dramatic change you have to change or lube your switches also I would recommend double shot pbt keycaps as they are pretty thick which makes the sound even better
Oh and probably add more layers of tape and if the foam that you got was thin a thicker one is gonna do a much better job just be careful if your keyboard has a battery in it
Unlike hardware, spending 400$ instead of 5$ on a keyboard is going to maximum going to give a 20-25% advantage, if you only care about input delay and thats it. Most modern keyboards even cheap have minimal input delay even at 5$

Although i may have to add I've only done this on brown switches so mileage may vary.

What gpu should I get to go with my ryzen 5 5600g as an upgrade and what edition too becuase I don’t under the difference between all the editions of a gpu
Painters tape is actually fine, and most likely won't zap the pcb, since it doesn't conduct electricity. Personally I do think that electrical tape gives it a more "thocky" and deep sound. Painters tape is also more likely to leave some glue on the pcb if removed. More important I'd say is the amount of layers you use; one layer doesn't do much, 2 is better, personally I use 3, some people go up to 5
@@ikecoldd2based on experience, electrical tape leaves more goopy residue than Painters tape. Hey Zach. Whats the difference between a ryzen 7 7700 and a ryzen 7 7800x3d. Everyone keeps calling the 7700 a mid tier option and the 7800x3d a high tier option. But when looking at the specs they look the exact same. What the difference?

Two tips for you: 1 put more about 2 more layers of tape on the back of the pcb if there’s room. 2: Now this is very annoying and time consuming but lubing the switched helps with the sound so much it’s crazy❤
