    What would once or twice a month compulsions look like? heard you mention them but can't have an idea of it 😅

      Hey Gonzalo - for myself it was slightly changing a nutrition plan/ workout program. It was so subtle but kept my chronic anxiety extremely high because the fear of being overweight wouldn't budge.

      This literally varies from person to person depending on their fear and which little habits they're still holding on to.

    Hey, what strategies are there for when you spike consistently across a number of days and keep asking for reassurance? Once I get on the destructive train of reassurance and/or rumination, I can’t seem to snap out of it.. I really need to just snap out of it though because I feel trapped in a horrible loop where I’m completing compulsion after compulsion. At other times of the year, I can go without having to do compulsions…

      Hey Universal - this happened to me a lot. I failed many times, many! But after a while I would be able to decrease it more and more. At first this seemed impossible but after a few months I got a much better handle on it. Every time you fail don't give up, keep going! It's very important we persist. You can do it!

      @@aguywhohikes1271 I have managed to stop it for years on end but have only recently got bad again (I’m on holiday and I think it’s the intense heat that is getting to me). I keep “completing” compulsions but a new urge appears again shortly after, is it possible to “ride” this urge and after a while it’ll fade?

    • @mominmasood
      @mominmasood Год назад +1

      Yes but you'll also have to look at your irrational beliefs and perspectives you're still holding because that's likely keeping you stuck in this back and forth.

    Please tell me how what to do with stomachache which come during triggers or panic, its fill like i have to go to the washroom always and always did this affect my body physically 😢

      Hey gaming - I would practice leaning into the stomachache sensations and bathroom usage will need to be balanced. Unfortunately there is no right or wrong amount to use the bathroom.

    What about worry?

    • @aguywhohikes1271
      @aguywhohikes1271 Год назад

      Worry isn't necessarily bad but overconcern is the issue - overconcern stems from strong rigid beliefs.

    My biggest beef with the motivational speakers is that they emphasize effort to the exclusion of strategy.
