Love this band. The sax soloist is so tasteful and soulful, not to mention ingeniously inventive. Incidentslly, the lead singer happens to ALSO be a kickass saxophonist! Pure love, joy, dedication to their craft these guys exhibit...
Now I normally take a dim view of No Doz and such, but this relentless saxman, ripping through the Peg changes like corn through a goose, has caused me to think again. He could just become the poster boy for the rehabilitation of that derided pharmaceutical. A couple, or seventeen, NoDoz, washed down with twelve mugs of fine Amsterdam espresso would seem an ideal prescription to get a musician to that sweet spot between suave sophistication and the Law of the Jungle. The epic proportions of the sax solo allowed the bass player, so crisp and relentless, to toss in some sweet little goodies of his own. And don't you just love to bits and pieces that moment at 1:40 when Toon Van NoDoz cruises his extemporisation into the harmony line for the horn section riff. That is one salty dubbelzoute drop, right there, and the band know they've got a living, breathing... rampaging treasure on their hands. The world is a safer, happier place because this man never sleeps.
The musicianship is impressive, though I think the backup vox may be lip syncing... see for yourself @ 4:52... Only mildly heartbroken since I love this group
Your absolutely right;and.... watching the tenor solo;there are a few spots where the fingers move/but the notes don't exactly come out! I really like these guys(as steely Dan cover bands go!) But the lip syncing along with pre-recorded stuff has gotten to the point where it's definitely hard to see and at the same time infuriating to watch when you know what's happening!. Let's you and me keep it to ourselves; we're going to be unpopular at that party!. Oopsie
They are not lip syncing. After the show they went into the studio and repaired some spots they didn’t like. I do this at my studio for a lot of bands.
Musicians are awesome..but when that 4 part harmony kicks in..that's magic..
Almost too good to be true! check 4:52 lolol
Saxman killed it ... blow that horn man
Greg Mirr yeah you can see he’s really having fun and a SD afficianado
Nothing like a little proper jax sax to make this song REALLY ROCK! "You Go Guys and Girls!"
Play a Steely Dan's cover ain't that easy. Terrific. Hi from Italy 😊
Fantastic! The band is on fire and the sax player has fresh lines. Woohoo! Thank you.
Wow toon is on another planet, the guy next to him is also brilliant
The band is GREAT!!!! Sax solo is on FIRE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can't hit the like enough…on fire!

Very nice sax work!
Dit is mijn favoriete Steely Dan nummer. Wat een geweldige uitvoering is dit.
Ook mijn favoriet! 😃
The drummer is phenomenal!
The backup singers are so good! Great cover overall.
Check 4:52 ... might be a lip sync on backup vox
@@ratjar7025 good eye, you just might be right.
Toon Roos ...Wat een solo! Waanzinnig!
The guy from Pawn Stars plays a mean piano. Stunningly impressive cover, and absolutely intense sax playing.
shit...I think that's chumlee singing...looks like he lost some weight
The crowd doesn't seem impressed. I love this great band! Amazing talented people! Hope you can come to NYC.
Maybe the Sax solo was a bit too long?
I saw them two days ago. Still amazing. They say you can't buy a thrill. Well... I did.
That a Dutch crowd for you😂 I think we listen more during the song and then give all our love when it is over
I love they have the three part michael Mcdonald harmony.
Excellent! And that sax player is really groovin'.
Sax playing is world-class, but how do you play "Peg" and leave out Jay Graydon's legendary guitar solo? It needs to be there at 1:45.
andyinoregon was waiting and waiting fir it...such a killer part
Still this band is awesome...I found my self watching there whole gig online like a concert
Maybe it was too legendary eh
One of the best in Netherlands
Their guitarist could quite nicely handle it, given his nailing the Larry Carlton solo in Kid Charlemagne.
Love it!……..
Beautiful! Thank you!!!
Wow, just simply wow! Thanks for this.
Just awesome.
Excellent!

This group I MUST see, after the pandemic subsides. Every player dominates.
WOW !! Superband ! Wie doet beter ??
Good lord 😀
Chumlee lost weight too...he's a good singer..
Robert DeNiro on bass!
Bill Burr on keys everybody!
The musicianship is impressive, though I think the backup vox may be lip syncing... see for yourself @ 4:52... Only mildly heartbroken since I love this group
No they aren't
@@jospinvanraat8730 then how are they singing w/ their mouths closed? Riddle me that Jospin Van Raat
The whole band is great, the drummer is off the chain amazing but sadly no guitar solo...
Check out an Irish band called Aja on You Tube. They have been rocking this shit for over thirty years. They blow this lot away.
No they do not. Just my opinion
@@erwinreinders8554 OK
They lip-sync on the backing vocals see 4.52

@@tjrox They should not present this as a fully live performance then, because its not.
@@fatamorgana909 Technically Yes, but it's more common then you might think. And it really is "Live", they just fixed some boogers.
No guitar solo??? Whaaaaaaa????
