Game visually looks crazy. A lot of influences from MotW as expected with T.O.P./S.P.G, KoF/MotW super jumps, (was hoping for some elements from RB2 too but alas lane system fully done-in). Oda mentioned in an interview Rollback and easy controls were the future so not surprised to see it here. 3 feints is interesting being homogenised across the cast instead of some getting flat out more, good news since feint canceling in RB2 was a lot of fun. Rev heat is really interesting too, I get why you feel there's a lot since that system could be the basis for a FG on its own regardless of S.P.G., feints, movement etc., it is a fun way to effectively add max mode & shatter strike to FF. Tizoc look like a lot of fun but I'm waiting for my main Kim Jae Hoon to show up, or even Blue Mary and Yamazaki hopefully.
The S.P.G. is like Tactical Offensive Position (T.O.P.) from Mark of the Wolves. How wonder does allow to perform T.O.P. attacks and regenerate the health (also does "Just Defend" regain health)...?
Probably not sadly, hope I'm wrong but SNK releases just never seem to be able to hold on to the pre-release hype for some reason, outside of certain countries.

I’m so hyped for this game. I hope they keep all of the high execution stuff from the original Garou like feint cancels and breaks. They already have Just Defends and the guard breaks you can do out of them in the game, so that’s reassuring. Hopefully the Rev system is a continuation of the break system. And obviously the visuals look much better and more cohesive than other modern SNK titles.
This is what i feel Justin Wong has deserved. Play new fighting games and let us know about them. That come not from his channel or some bullshit influence. But from a lifetime of dedication to fighting games. And being the greatest American fgc player of all time. Full circle.
@PrinceTrunx what does any of that have to do with the fact that Justin is being selected to promote games? I'm just saying that companies choose him to promote stuff because he has an online platform and a big following. Him being famous because he's good is something else entirely.
the fact that it has smart control also known as modern control , guaranteed that this game will succeed. just dont fail in the netcode and matchmaking. this game can surpass sf6 and t8.
hope snk don't do the same error as they did with KOF XV with a rank player search system that didn't work properly the first months, that's what kept people away from the game
With Rev meter they basically nerfed the infinite combos that plagued both Kof 13, 14 and 15 Also I'm so glad they keep all mechanics from Mark of the wolves especially the sub mechanics of throwing your opponent in juggle if you Counter him with heavy or special attack
You clearly don't play KOF14 and KOF15. Infinities dont exist in those games. High combos require a lot of meter that you have to save or use for each character. KOF13 has some infintes though
Loving the look of this. Really wish modern fighting games went back to 2D sprites, especially like KOF 13 which is the prettiest fighting game EVER. I've read that it's expensive to do but I would love it so much!

The biggest question is Does Terry triple geyser still whiff in the corner I have to know, I'm still salty about that as a terry main in MOTW. Edit: It all hits. Fighting game of the year 2025
I'm so excited for this! I started getting into Fatal Fury and Garou after they added Terry to smash and I quickly realized I enjoyed the gameplay more than street fighter overall even though I've played street fighter forever, so this is gonna be great!
Damn if this game releases with good netcode and not with broken matchmaking like kofxv, i think it's going to have a very healthy lifespan. I'm so stoked for this game, i loved kofxv but the broken matchmaking and lack of visual flare put me off. This games art style looks incredible by comparisons

Joe Higashi was my main from Fatal Fury all the way to RB2, as well as every KoF title there ever was. I know who I'm maining from this revealed roster, even if she doesn't play exactly like the original Tempest Man. The visuals are absolutely crazy right now. I need Rick Strowd to come back!
I'm a fifth of the way in the video, looks like it also retained the way some counter hits in Garou launch the opponent for combo opportunities. Love the detail you went into this, Justin!
This game is looking to be everything I hoped for & SSOO much more. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Edited: Outside of the fact that they don't small jumps installs for some crazy reasons. Hopefully they seriously fix this.
Goddamn, this game has more mechanics than Jiffy Lube! Seems like it will take a long time to get a handle on everything, but I’m loving how much depth and creativity is involved. City of the Wolves is looking good! We are entering the platinum age of fighting games, y’all. In a couple years all of the following games will be co-existing: Street Fighter 6, GG Strive, Tekken 8, KoF XV, Under Night, Fatal Fury CotW, 2XKO, and the new Virtua Fighter (plus a new Capcom VS game, if we’re lucky) 🤯

I imagine playing this game will make me shaking after 15 minutes. Kudos to Justin, Daigo, and the whole OG that can play long duration in their 40s
I'm 37 but I find Tekken quite relaxing compared to Street Fighter that keeps me sweating.
46 here, I can relate 😄
I don t think age has anything to do with it. Just continue playing and it ll go away. I had bad tournament nerves when I was young, in my late teens playing at the arcades.
Us old farts can def relate. I was busting my ass on Tekken 8 recently, heart racing lol... and I cut my teeth at SFII in the arcades, playing against the bullies who beat me in the schoolyard. Then you get to the point when you're hustling XmenVSF and UMK3, you feel like a king. Fighting games are our growth. Once you fall in love, they follow you no matter how old you get.
Does Justin still stream Tekken on twitch? I don't go on Twitch but I haven't seen any Tekken videos on RUclips recently. Was hoping he didn't quit because they were entertaining videos.
This is so cool that you got so much info for the time you took and SNK for letting you have the footage to share with us. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this to play.
love how you got distracted mid talking because of the cool combos grabbed your attention! the game looks really good and it has so many technical offensive and defensive gameplay! game looks so good even oldschool fighters like you get distracted by the shine of the game!🎉 cant wait for you to get your hands on the game and show us all how to maximize the system!😊
I think everyone is thinking that Terry's BUSTER-WOLF special is a little lack luster, the animation graphics of the super and lacks more impact especially compared to the old 2D sprite version. Maybe pass that along Justin? Thanks for the video and insight brotha.
its aged
it looks better in smash bros lol
@@chiball To be fair its not even finished and already has alot of mechanics for a game with at least 10 more moths of development. And that's a very small thing. Besides I'd clock in way more hours of this over Smash..LOL
This game looks so good, low key like how it looks more than sf6 and T8.
It's not quite sprites like the old days but it's definitely oozing with style!
Looks like a way better version of what SF6 was aiming for. Pretty impressive after how hideous recent KoF was
This is 0% what SF6 was aiming for. COTW looks more like MvC3. Don't get me wrong, I love both SF6 and COTW's aesthetics @@chaosvii4605
Cool for you
@chaosvii4605 Uh, you need glasses? Sf6 literally looks nothing like this game
It looks amazing. This is how all snk game should look for now on.
the comic look is such a smart design choice. looks sooooo good, fits the fatal fury theme as well. loving it. hope they bring most of the classic characters back rather than the new ones. TBH the new characters from recent years are kinda random.
When I was looking at just the trailers I wasn't completely sold on the aesthetic, but seeing it in proper motion during a match with the UI elements and everything, it looks really pretty!
ive always wanted to get into fatal fury but just didn’t know where to start, but THIS LOOKS SICK AF
Fatal Fury Special, Real Bout 2, and Mark of the Wolves are the most popular in the series.
Great, thanks. Didn't think the game was this far along already. Can't wait to see the full roster of characters.
NO, you want duck king as everyone does
We’re truly in another golden age of fighting games.
Absolutely
No
The S.P.G. is like Tactical Offensive Position (T.O.P.) from Mark of the Wolves.
How wonder does allow to perform T.O.P. attacks and regenerate the health (also does "Just Defend" regain health)...?
This does remind me a lot of marvel 3 visually, which is a good thing. Pleasantly surprised
I have been WAITING for this!! So much info and I'm just at the beginning! Thanks for posting!
Made it to the end! This game looks absolute fire! Great gameplay clips, already looking solid! I'll catch you online hahah
This looks like it might be the next big game
Probably not sadly, hope I'm wrong but SNK releases just never seem to be able to hold on to the pre-release hype for some reason, outside of certain countries.
Presentation..art direction,font,ui..the battle effects, sounds and animation are JUST SO AMAZING!! this is a dream man! Best looking 3D SNK EVER! Man fatal fury returns in this big way is just making and me tear up man 😭❤ i absolutely love everything they done here! So many systems in top of each other! This game has an identity! The colors and effects! The life meter man! The stages are GORGEOUS! loved the details! Can't wait to see mai,joe and andy in this art style and animation 😭❤🔥💘 the sound & look of just defend is soo good! Love the look and i can't praise it enough! new character looks amazing! Joe's student 😂🔥 speed of battle is amazing too!hopefully there's a lot of single player content thats what holding SNK back in my opinion! Seeing Terry again makes me happy man! My fav fighting game character ever! what a comeback for the franchise! Thanks justin this was fantastic i couldn't stop watching!
Cell shading in 4k look so CLEAN!
Finally SNK put some good stuff in graphics, it looks beautiful. It truly looks like the game is gonna be insane :D
Finally? LoL their graphics have always been top tier.
" HOLY SHIT - " - tizoc, probably
This is what i feel Justin Wong has deserved. Play new fighting games and let us know about them. That come not from his channel or some bullshit influence. But from a lifetime of dedication to fighting games. And being the greatest American fgc player of all time. Full circle.
Well, it's also because he's practically an influencer with his following. Being a famous streamer and content creator in the FGC has its benefits.
@@paulpangilinan6671 people use that word loosely. No man influences my decisions but me. So where does that leave you?
@PrinceTrunx what does any of that have to do with the fact that Justin is being selected to promote games? I'm just saying that companies choose him to promote stuff because he has an online platform and a big following. Him being famous because he's good is something else entirely.
So happy for SNK, wasn’t this excited since SamSho 2019
This game is looking fantastic. Seems like SNK is coming back and I love it.
What I thought this was a trailer reaction I’m hype my boy Justin got that exclusive content
Ohhh there amusement park stage is the KOF XV abandoned park stage but in the future! The sign says "Grand Re Opening"!
Holy cow... Didn't expect straight up gameplay. Nice!
If only other companies could do the same to other fighting games IPs. I'm looking at you, Capcom.
the fact that it has smart control also known as modern control , guaranteed that this game will succeed. just dont fail in the netcode and matchmaking. this game can surpass sf6 and t8.
hope snk don't do the same error as they did with KOF XV with a rank player search system that didn't work properly the first months, that's what kept people away from the game
Not the "first months", KOFXV's matchmaking stayed broken for more than a year. I say the same, I HOPE that COTW doesn't face the same issues.
Holy smoke from the trailer last night to hands on gameplay today.. That escalated quickly
Thanks for the info! Wish I coulda been there lol
This game looks beautiful and fun as hell.
Thanks
With Rev meter they basically nerfed the infinite combos that plagued both Kof 13, 14 and 15
Also I'm so glad they keep all mechanics from Mark of the wolves especially the sub mechanics of throwing your opponent in juggle if you Counter him with heavy or special attack
Man, something about the animation in this game looks REALLY good! I can’t quite put my finger on it. Very reminiscent of their old 2D fighters. SNK knows what they’re doing!
SO HYPED Loved MOTW so much
This game is looking CRISPY!! I play Tekken but this game could be a cool 2d fighter
looks incredible i cant fucking wait
Gameplay looks kinda nice! We are so ripe for a Capcom vs. SNK game right now with these system mechanics
This is a day 1 buy for me. I think of all fighting games I played kof 98 slugfest is the one that feels the best and this looks like it comes the closest to it... CANNOT WAIT
So nice to see an SNK re-entry. I have a hard time with SF as of late, especially 6. When youve been playing FGs for 35 years, you may or may not want to adjust, but always go back to the classics. Fatal Fury and KOF and AOF are always my go to when i feel the need to avoid the hype...and the microtransactions lol
Thanks JWong, ive loved you since evo papi❤keep the art of fighting alive, my friend
The biggest question is
Does Terry triple geyser still whiff in the corner
I have to know, I'm still salty about that as a terry main in MOTW.
Game looks sweet. I hope we get a Billy and Yamaziki function.
I do agree the music is kind of mid though, especially Hotaru's theme.
It's a shame if that is the case since Hotaru's theme in motw is such a stand out.
Whooaaaa the style looks…..looks….so good 😮
Rock gets air fireball from his uncle Kain also. Wow...
20:57 feint cancel existis, boys
Damn if this game releases with good netcode and not with broken matchmaking like kofxv, i think it's going to have a very healthy lifespan. I'm so stoked for this game, i loved kofxv but the broken matchmaking and lack of visual flare put me off. This games art style looks incredible by comparisons
It's SO satisfying to see the title "FATAL FURY" back!
I’m glad Garou’s music is still on point. I can’t wait to hear all the remixed versions of this.
the jd sfx is satisfying cause it doesn't slow down like sf6
not like parry in sf6
I never got to play the older ones back in the day. But this actually looks pretty dope
Hyped for this. One day, we might actually get a new Dark Stalkers too
This is amazing... As a fan of Garou: Mark of the Wolves back in the day, this is lterally years in the making. Thank you SNK and Justin :)
P.S. I would love to see you Justin play this competitively if possible :)
I CALLED THIS PART!!!!!!!! 10:47 I LEGIT WAS SAYING WATCH THE CHARACTERS YOU PICK ATTACK EACH OTHER LIKE WOLVES AND I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!
The art style and direction is so much better than sf6
SF6 set the bar pretty low tbh
@@xstatic-ow5mz capcom went woke
This game looks sick, if it actually has a good netcode and ranked system we might have another big player in the fighting game market.
I waited for 22 years
FGC is eating good
looks like a modern take on the marvel vs capcom 3 art style 🔥
This game looks so freaking amazing, I can't wait to play it
Man it already looks exciting. I can't wait! The comic book style looks great too so I look forward to seeing the others.
tizok looks sick. instant main
Frankly, SPG doesn’t roll off the tongue as well as TOP does…
But this looks *great!* A strong first impression is important, after all.
The Queen Hotaru was back finally
She's a princess
No Preecha is definitely my kind of character
Preecha is the only character announced so far that I could do without.
Type shit
Joe Higashi was my main from Fatal Fury all the way to RB2, as well as every KoF title there ever was. I know who I'm maining from this revealed roster, even if she doesn't play exactly like the original Tempest Man. The visuals are absolutely crazy right now. I need Rick Strowd to come back!
Im itching for Freeman and Kain gameplay rn😭
I'm a fifth of the way in the video, looks like it also retained the way some counter hits in Garou launch the opponent for combo opportunities.
Love the detail you went into this, Justin!
Legends waiting for classic Terry Bogard costume.
This game is going to be so fun and a treat. I hope y'all play this shit and dont leave it hanging.
That string mechanic reminds me of Rage of the Dragons as you describe it. Except you don’t need to initiate with some specific universal move. 5:24
This game is looking to be everything I hoped for & SSOO much more. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Edited: Outside of the fact that they don't small jumps installs for some crazy reasons.
SNK's stylized art style is so refreshing after the onslaught of "realistic" looking fighters like SF6 and MK1. They've come a long way since KOF14.
Is Preesha kind of like a mix of Joe and B Jenet??
The Joe is obvious. But her dash, her fireball, the floaty dp, and leaping over head reminds me of jenet's gulf tomahawk. Maybe I'm just seeing things.
the graphics and animation looks amazing
Deadass, you could’ve included the actual ED theme & it still would’ve worked.
I like what I’m seeing here. This is bringing me back to 1993 to 1994, when I fell in love with SNK/NeoGeo
