Looking great. Hobby Boss doesn't say so, but this scheme is from Torpedo Six aboard U.S.S. Enterprise. You can see this exact aircraft in the Errol Flynn film Dive Bomber, albeit in the 1941 grey color scheme. There are other aircraft in the colorful pre-war schemes.
The US neutrality paint schemes were rather interesting across the Army Air Corps and Navy. Be cool, but a load of extra work to paint this bird then paint it combat colours, then weather and chip it back in spots to the neutrality scheme. I'd imagine they were hastily painted over prior to being first into the fire.
I apologize in advance if i missed it but how did you handle sanding between the corrugations on the wings? I have this kit and I'm stuck on that problem.

I just wish Hobby Boss would put the information on their call out sheets
It's coming up a treat.. the newish Tamiya Gloss Aluminium LP 70 would be a good choice too..
Yes, that should work as well

It's good to do something different, I've never done this scheme.
@@grant6336 it looks great so far, definitely going to pop on a shelf full of camo birds.

@justasuggestion8216 try a piece of sand paper wrapped around a tooth pick, or if you have a small round file
@@grant6336 Thanks. I'll give it a try.
Ah the TBD deathtrap...
The mount of heroes.
