Glad that everything is okaywith Kira! Would love to see an updated “What’s in my dogs First Aid Kit” video, since you’re the most prepared dog mom I know.

I wondered if they did a blood alcohol check on her blood work? Sometimes apples and other fruit on the ground can ferment and animals will still eat them. Then they get intoxicated. Just wondering if it’s at all possible that apples were laying around for a while and then fermented. Maybe she got tipsy.
That’s a good idea about something else to check. Happens to people or kids too.
never knew this. Honestly thought this was a joke.
True, my step-mother's parents used to own a pick-it yourself apple farm in Northern New Jersey, near where I grew up, and her mom used to tell us stories of how they would watch the deer in the area come into the orchards, to pick up & eat the dropped apples off the ground once they fell from the tree, and how the deer would be literally staggering around after eating a couple of the fermented apples that way. I personally never got to see it, and quite honestly, I'm just as happy about that because I don't know if I could enjoy watching that, but I don't doubt it happened, I also something on a PBS Nature special once regarding a similar thing, that for me was kinda funny, but yet hard for me to watch at the same time.

Check for Snail Bate. It can look just like grassy substance. It is bad for more then just snails. But it can be faitle for all animals. It won't show up on scans.

I don't know if we still have it, but we have/ had the mousetrap game
not to be a voice of doom and gloom, but i have had that happen with a friend's dog. one of their neighbors tried to poison the dog, and we nearly lost her twice. We did finally catch the neighbor on a game camera and were able to get law enforcement involved. i really hope that it isn't nefarious neighbors.

It's always a long night at the ER. Those kids ... I took my dog to the vet at the last minute today. She was hiding and just not being herself. Gave her some meds for maybe her back. Just strange. Glad she's feeling better. 👍

I don't know if there are any of those toads that put out a toxic goo through their skin, in the part of Michigan where you live, whether native to there or inadvertently introduced to there, but I'm almost wondering could she have picked one of those up in her mouth, and when she did, it maybe emitted a bit of it's toxin into her mouth to get her to spit it back out again?
