    It left me wanting to ask deeper questions to this theory.
    He says Ram did what is right for Praja, but did he? Isn't he setting the wrong example and making things worse for all women?! Waise toh majoritarian theory sahi nahi hota, 80% log dowry lete toh kya woh bhi, Maryada ban jata, in spite of the unneccessary hurtful nature? It's more like people-pleasing. His second story about the king who comes from a place of ego when trying to be perfect by helping the bird applies to Ram too. Our Praja is like this because of those examples. Victim shaming and punishing. It's baffling that this thought does not cross the minds of people who explain this.
    Also, they say Ram was in love with Sita and knew she was innocent, yet chose an inauthentic path whereas Gautham Budha wouldn't do justice, even if he stayed put in his place as a husband and father because his soul was aching and restless for enlightenment. He does come back to his wife and children which is totally misrepresented here. I agree with a lot of other things he says and the larger context about Dharma and Adharma not being black and white and thought it was insightful.

    I feel is that Rama sent away a pregnant Sita away to the jungle. However Sidhhartha himself went away from the luxury of palace life. That's where the difference lies, that's why Rama is criticized and Siddhartha is not.

    • @nivethaj8295
      @nivethaj8295 Год назад +2

      That's becoz ram made sita to leave the country whereas Siddhartha made his own choice coz he wanted to find the truth and serve the humanity..here you can't compare Ramayana and Buddhism

    • @dOVERanalyst
      @dOVERanalyst Год назад +2

      BOTH are wrong. But true, Rama is more wrong.
      Rama failed in Raja dharma, Pati Dharma, PitruDharma
      Raja Dharma: Praja also needs Rani, queen. If Praja sees their own Rani PUNISHED for NO fault of hers, what standards does it set for women in society?
      King is supposed to do justice. If he can't do justice in Queen's case, he cannot do justice to anyone.
      Rama killed so many in Lanka to give Sita her honour & rights back. But he couldn't protect his own wife in his OWN Country
      A King is not supposed to be PEOPLE PLEASER. A king is supposed to do the right thing.
      A king is the Supreme Court. The court cannot be swayed by mass sentiments of men.
      Raja dharma is to educate society if needed & use your charm & likeability to set a standard that even after agnipariksha, people have NO right to judge Sita.
      Buddha FAILED in pati dharma, pitru dharma too.
      He brought a kid into this world & abandoned him.
      He abandoned his wife.
      But atleast, left them in kingdom.
      But for his own selfish desire to get enlightenment, he left in grihashtya ashram, which is time period for family.
      Hinduism did allow everyone sanyaas AFTER family life period was done as the last self actualization time

He sends her there because he knows that sages will question her in ashram and also his kids will receive education from Valmiki. He made sure about safety of sita. If he wouldn't have done all this then instead of criticising ram you yourself would have been questioning sita. Basically he took the blame on himself but cleaned the character of sita.

    I do not agree about the seeta agnipariksha. If ram was such a learned individual, he had the option to share his knowledge and reason with the people. Another aspect of being a king is also to show the right way to your praja when they are going wrong. By greenlighting the agnipariksha, he might have encouraged that practice in the society and yes we see the repurcurtions even today when women are subjected to prove their characters time and again. Had he reasoned with his praja, he would have set an example of equality and mutual respect in marriage. If u simply have to surrender to people's whims, then what is the use of the knowledge that was gained with rushi munis? Also, even if the act was done for pleasing people, how can this decision be taken single handedly by one person when there are two individuals in a relationship? This again helps prove the theory that a woman does not have her opinion and she belongs to the man she is married to and he is entitled to take any decisions on her behalf.

      Look morality was different back then, as a husband he was wrong but as a King he protected the honor of his kingdom and his people which was his duty. This is very complicated.

    • @DecodingTarot
      @DecodingTarot 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@punyashloka4946 if morality was different back then, then why is lord ram praised and worshipped in today's times for ALL HIS DECISIONS? The fact is, that all religions, all folklores, mythology etc are written by powerful and learned MEN. Hence, they have potrayed women as secondary or something that comes after the duties and responsibilites of a "Man". Man is considered human whereas a woman is something that is other than human. Something beneath him.

    • @punyashloka4946
      @punyashloka4946 10 месяцев назад

      @@DecodingTarot you people are morons of the highest order, Lord Rama is worshipped because of many good qualities he has , a good son, a good king who protect the honor of his kingdom, a great warrior, a loving brother, someone who sticks with his ethic and morale etc. You cannot just pin point his bad qualities and completely ignore his good qualities, you have to look into his whole character. He is someone who is a hero of any time. As for religion, evolution played a part in how religion evolved, any agricultural society is going to be patriarchal in nature it nobody's fault so obviously religion also evolved with that circumstance. Its a natural outcome of how society evolved overtime so stop whinning and crying about all the time. Ramayana is also a good story and literature which should be appreciated.

    Firstly this guy explaining with a point of view that our epics is mythology is completely wrong. They are itihasas (thus it happened) they are historical factual epics.
    Coming to many a thing stated some are right, some are way off, since again he thinks it is mythology. The aspect that arjun killing the nagas and buliding a palace (indraprastha). He did not kill snakes just like that, under the instruction of krishna he did, also krishna never made a decision which is adharmic.
    Before burning the forest, he calls takshak nag, and tells him to clear the forest along with other snakes as they are unsafe and garud is hunting for them.
    So he says go to an alternate place and then the burning of the forest happens. If people dont know reasons they should read the original text and get to know the details.
    One thing to clarify both epics have all logical explanations for the current "scientific" mindset that will satisy.
    One more thing in the previous yugas, they were much more scientific, much more logical and definitely much more human.
    I can also give explanations of sita agnipareeksha. But right now i am leaving it here. Lets not make maa Sita a feminist and attribute such qualities, also Rama loved Sita way much more, so lets not come to conclusions without knowing the background events.
    Also Maa Sita never complained or thought Lord Rama betrayed or did any anayaya to her. I dont think we should either.

    Abrahamic religions have split the Bharatiya (especially north) mind in two, when we are a dialectic, trialetic, quadratic (and so on and so forth) thinking people. That is why so many of our devas have many heads.

    Buddha is not a re-incarnation of anyone. He was just a common man who lived extra-ordinarily. Ram cannot be compared with Buddha, Buddha is simply greater. Also, unlike Ram, Buddha was real, not a myth.

    Abandoning of Sita Maa comes under “ uttara Ramayana “ which is not written by valmiki . There is no proof for this . Scholars need to debate on this .

    Any book is a exaggerated version of fundamental realities. So, we are to read after qualifying. Duality is when we take a side. That's our daily life. How can we know non dual, the unified version? Only way is to get into "No conflict zone". Arjuna did that. Then He imaged what's the largest experience he wants. To get that, he need knowledge and act with it. That's Bhakti, Jnana & Karma. These are fundamental realities / methods. Use trinity to come out of duality to become Unity. Make one out of two using three or four (dharma to moksha). Universe reversed - Verse in to Uni. So understand from a non reactive/ conflict state as to Who you want to be. Like Arjuna, we must be qualified. Or we hear Gita from Sanjaya (Servant, the sleep) who told to unconscious Blind king or brain. Flash back reactive understanding. Arjuna had Active understanding. So qualified Act from a unbiased person leads to Reality as he wanted. Rest are just colors added to Enjoy the experience.

      Somehow, I fully agree with you. Of Course, from his previous podcast, one can grasp that he is neither spiritual nor interested in it. Just for views he is doing it. Of course he is allowed to, but others are already covering such topics.
      I would suggest him to talk about other religions as well now to prove that he is secular.

    • @adityajoshi6422
      @adityajoshi6422 Год назад +2

      @@FromPlanetZX I totally disagree with OP and you. Just like a business starts with one product line and adds more product lines in order to become a conglomerate, Raj as the owner of a media company, is trying to do the same- started with the product line of business/entrepreneurship related content and now is diversifying/adding more product lines for consumers with different needs. If one company is selling toothbrushes (beerbiceps in this analogy) that doesn't mean another company isn't allowed to compete, we aren't living in monopolistic license raj of anymore.
      Also, people aren't secular, institutions are. He doesn't need to prove anything. If someone follows a certain religion he's definitely going to be biased and there's nothing wrong in that. You can't expect a muslim to love and respect hinduism or christianity the same way he does islam and vice versa for all the permutations and combinations, that's absurdity. He can make videos about other religions if he wants to, but there is no moral responsibility on him to do so as you seem to be implying.
      Let me share a useful trick with OP and you, if you only like his business content then don't watch his other stuff- problem solved.
