“I’ll stop buying fake plants when Taylor Swift stops taking the plane to the supermarket“ is so iconic and understandable. This is also something that I had to learn about enviromental stuff and my “footprint“. I always felt guilty just breathing but once I figured out that a) I’m not rich and b) I’m not a corporation it helped a lot with my view on my shopping. Like yeah, I can help better the enviroment, but the bigger problem is capitalism and rich people (in my opinion).
nah that is so true, people dont understand that countries like China often throw SO much trash into the oceans and its often the more populated countries that dont have regulations like the US does that often pollute so much. Fast fashion is also a huge culprit of pollution and plastic waste.
I agree! The only thing is (just my opinion pls don’t get mad 😭) but while Taylor swift was high up in that celebrity carbon emissions thing, I think there was like 70 (??) people above her, so we should be going against those worse than her, not just her!!!
exactly! There is only so much we can do as "regular" people who aren't rich. And we already do those things. Rich people don't even do the bare minimum, so we really shouldn't feel bad about ourselves.

Teacup orchids!!!!!!!!! VERY low maintenance (I'm not even doing all the proper steps and it's blooming like mad right now) and it's not toxic to cats or dogs 🥰 surprisingly my cats don't show too much interest anyway despite laying next to it all day every day
Just put something underneath the legs of the table. Some square wooden dowels and tie them on with cable binders. That should be enough to raise the table to fit the chair underneath.

IDK if it has been suggested but maybe add a two by four on each of your desk stands and then you’ll be able to push your chair in. Idk if the height will bother you since it will be two inches taller.

Feel good about those plants. As far as I understand, quality fake plants may actually be more environmentally sustainable than real ones. Real plants might be good for the air, but every plant that dies has to be raised and safely shipped from somewhere, with all the equipment and life preservation precautions that involves. That process is environmentally costly. Of course, I won't judge those who raise indoor plant either. People who are genuinely into raising plants can learn to make store-bought plants more sustainable and also often come by plants in more sustainable ways from friends and growing things from seeds and cuttings.
Honestly I love this plant décor, but I would have a different worry about all the plants entirely. Plants, whether real or fake tend to get dusty indoors, and cleaning them, particularly if they are in high hard-to-reach places can be hard. I suppose, if you go over them with a damp cloth or chunk the vines in water briefly each month, fake plants could be easier than real in this regard. If you do that, you could give them little seasonal updates . . . clip on birds and butterflies or blossom in warm months and tiny Christmas and winter ornaments in winter.

When you said you would stop buying fake plants when Taylor Swift stops taking private jets to go grocery shopping I screamed YES!!! EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly I don't think the carbon footprint is bigger in any case, whether it is a fake or a real plant, but as you said it's plastic that you can keep forever so it's not actually unsustainable. The argument of your cats' safety is more than enough!
and I just realized another great thing about fake plants: you don't have to worry about them getting enough llight, so you can put them literally anywhere, even in the darkest corner of your room, and nothing is gonna happen!

I really like it the plants look great but if i was you i'd move the stuff on the wall behind the big plant to the other wall with empty space and then i'd switch the places of the green and white carts just because it would be easier for when you crochet. It looks awesome, I don't think the chair matters that much i'd leave it as is.
