Well done Andy, great race. To be running such a great time within yourself bodes well for future races 👍 It was like some kind of marvel movie crossover type video seeing Eddbud and Matt in the video, shoetubers assemble 😂
Congratulations mate, to get so close to your target time on a course with the gravel and the cobblestones is brilliant. To have enough left in the bucket for a proper sprint finish is super impressive. And, finally, the meet up has happened! Like a Marvel Universe moment but with slightly less CGI. Your face when Ed mentioned he'd gigged last night was priceless!
Welcome to the "Elite world" :P Next level effort and clear your training was on point!! Can't wait to see the next run will be!!!! Nice to see 2 special guests there in TheWelshrunner and Eddbud!
Great run Andy!! Agreed there is nothing quite like a runners debrief after a race! Captured this one brilliantly mate! Can'y wait to run my first city race in two weeks time having a crowd lined route must of been great :)
I wish I could have listened to your advice before I started my Bristol HM yesterday. I did a 10 mile PB but paid for it badly in last 3 miles with pace completely dropping off. I just need to calm down for the first 5 miles and save it for the last 5 miles.
Well done Andy and good to see some of my other favourite RUclipsrs there as well. I did the Bristol 10K in about 2010 and vaguely recognised one of your early clips but that's about it.
Thanks mate! Yes I gather the course has changed over recent years, they’ve done a good job to be fair, the first 10 miles is decent, just need to sort out the last 3!
Cracking run Andy💪👏👏 The Insta360 go 2’s are everywhere. I’m still undecided if I’m using my GoPro or the Insta360 (in case) in my hand for London...running Ben Parkes style
What an epic effort, Andy! Awesome to grab a PB after all your hard training! That’s a wild course how it zigs and zags the last few miles. Well deserved result for you! 👍 👏
Absolutely brilliant race recap Andy. It’s so nice to see your positivity back. You’ve put in the hard yards and earned the result. Well done looking forward to following what’s next.
Great running and great VLOG. Good to see you en route and at end. Your videos have been a massive help for many during lockdown. Keep up the great work 👍
Well done mate! In my book you did sub 76 because of those hilly last miles that slowed you down. Maybe you can shoot for a sub 76 in a next half but with a flat course. It's nice to see local communities back into the races again, all those runners you meet every race feel almost like a second family. I miss that. It's also slowly returning here in Portugal. Running "back to front" and passing people along the way is also my favorite tactic for races. :)
Great time, well done! Hear you on those cobblestones - I did a long run yesterday on a trail that got unexpectedly quite rocky and the last 3 miles my feet were KILLING ME because i could feel every rock underfoot
Well done Andy! Nice that you met Edd here. It would have been even more impressive if he had told you that he had been drinking all night without any sleep and was still able to pull that race off. :)
@@TheFODRunner according to Edd The Monkees isn't popular band in the UK. I'm kind of disappointed. They were Peter Beardsley look-a-likes. That music would be suitable for British clubs where he has gigs.
It’s a good race, try & run it every year. Agree the last 5K was tough. Nowhere near as fast as you guys but still pleased with a 2:20 😂. Didn’t want to push it as I have London 2 weeks & ran Brighton the week before but felt good. Those cobbles tho, spent time trying not to trip up.
Great racing and a fantastic way to wrap up this series. It might not have been to the time you originally set out to run, but you made the right call to adjust the goal, and to walk away happy with your performance is a great result. 👍
As you can see from my video conditions matched those in my swansea bay 10k andy, was pissing down on the way there then when I started the sun come out. Great race mate and guge kudos on your pb had there not been any cobbles or pull towards then end you would have seen 75. But that's a great performance non the less.
Yeah I actually just watched your race mate, how mad was it that torrential rain was forecast and we have blazing hot sun!! Sod’s law 😂 well done though, these conditions test us don’t they!

Thanks! Yes I assume you did the second half of our course, from what I saw as we hit some km markers from 4k to go so yes, that last bit was a killer!
@@TheFODRunner yes the only bit the 10k didn’t cover was the route up and back on the portway. 👍 i live two mins from the turning point on the portway. Can be a bit boring that part. Hoping next year I will do the half and you will be back as well. Hope you liked Bristol 👍

It’s a really interesting point and definitely it gets harder in the second half when you’re running on your own, in the first half I moved though packs and ran with people but mentally the second half is always tougher…. 💯 if you had people all the way it would make it much easier!
