VEB stands for Volkseigener Betrieb - a term used to denote a State owned manufacturing businesses in East Germany. The letters VEB were placed before the business name.
The loco in this video has the standard cab. The other two locos had an experimental cab which provided the crew with additional space and featured glare-reducing. DR only converted a few locomotives.
The other ones are the V180.0 with so called 'GFK' cabin, with the blue one being the prototype (Era 3) and the red one the later Era 4 colors. This one is a V180.1 with the standard body

Pretty amazing that East Germany's communist regime had a state owned model railway manufacturer. I wonder if they worked to a five year plan?
