Apparently Mr.Kato has been to the UK - seen at a model railway exhibition, etc. Imagine if Kato extended its work with Peco to start doing full UK market models. BTW, I came across an Italian ACME HO wagon recently and was amazed by the detail - ever reviewed their products?

Whilst they are nice models with diecast chassis. £84.95 for 3 wagons is a step too far for me so I bought the Slaters kits at £9.95 to build plus wheels etc. I did however visit the Shildon New Hall museum a few weeks ago which is superb and themed on goods transport. This wagon was in there along with the Chaldrons which ACC also make a superb detail model for £44.95 for 3 with volume discounts too so that was worth buying 3x packs to go with Hornby Locomotion No1 when it comes out...

Interesting video. I have the green 255, as well as the four car passenger train that went with. My 255 does not have the center pickup sliders. Runs on DC.

Some of these locomotives live on as part of the Athearn Ready To Roll or Athearn Roundhouse lines. Athearn took over Model Die Casting who owned the Roundhouse brand in the mid 2000's. MDC stated to offer these locomotes as ready to run in the late 90's/early 2000's. Athearn has done a lot to upgraded these models since the take over.

Fr.- is actually Swiss Francs, so most likely it would originally have been sold in Switzerland. As for the prototype, it was part of the „Amor Express“ a nostalgic train operated by the Bodensee Toggenburg Railway (BT) and the interior was themed after a Fisherman‘s cottage. I think all the painting on both was completed by the owners and the model was possibly sold by TRIX as a kit. Great video, Jersey Bill

Hi, very good video, Accurascale are very good for the hobby, they have taken the class 66 and upgraded it except for the speaker that Hatton’s used originally which was an EM2 unit, Accurascale have engineered this superior speaker out to fit their own smaller lesser EM1 speaker, I believe this is a cost cutting measure that stopped me purchasing one, they also have a sister company that takes up manufacturing space hence the delivery delays along with other unforeseen issues out of their control, they do genuinely care about the hobby more so than other manufacturers whom only want to charge mad money for their products.

You need to work on your pronunciation of ‘Accurascale’, especially when that’s the feature of your video. Aside from that though petal, grand job.

Fine detailed models but their products are not without faults - think they got a shed load of Class 37's back (including mine) - still good to have AS in the marketplace....

The thing in the middle is the Indusi detector, which is a safety system. For the rest, typical Roco quality, but a bit hard to convert it to DCC.

The 10-1859 4 car set is unpowered, that's why it's cheaper.

I'm pretty sure the N700S doesn't tilt... They run on dedicated high speed lines, there's no need for tilting around sharp curves.

Japanese HO is 1/80 as opposed to 1/87.

Contrast this with the class 450 4-car EMU from Farish with a list price far North of £300. There's a reason I'm buying Japanese N now.
