These people making fun or making negative comments… they have nothing to offer in their tiny little worlds but you have done such an incredible series of constructions and projects which have inspired many others to consider ways in which they can reduce their effect on the natural world.
I don't write alot of comments. Hope this finds you. Alot easier f the guys on here are keyboard warriors. If they can't do it themselves, they will find fault with what you are doing. If your girl like kes the man bun then roll with it. You put out great stuff and your builds are amazing. You put more effort and thinking in your buildings than anyone can even concieve. You build it to last 100 years. Keep doing what you are doing. I watch alot of your vids and your killing it. I'm in the beginning of my off grid homestead and you give me the Inspiration that I can make it happen!
Like pebbles on a beach kicked around miss placed by feet ooooo like broken stones....girl I'm trying to build my home...lol great video again thanks for sharing 👍😀😊
I'm planning a 24ft roundhouse and feel pretty stumped on roofing the thing. I really like how your reciprocal rafters look here. Very inspirational what you are doing here.
You know I build stuff for a living, on the weekend I restore vintage stuff and yet I am fascinated by Kris's across the pond mortgage free building techniques. I got to say I think I want to try my hand at something like this and a traditional log cabin build.
Another great video - and you're one of the (very) few people who can get away with the man bun, doing what you're doing, living where you're living. Thanks for great videos. I'm a good few years older, and every video you post I learn something new. Thank you.
The man bun is much neater than the mop you were sporting while letting your hair grow long enough to tie it up in a bun. If that style ended in the 90’s there then Canada is way way behind because some guys are still wearing their hair up despite the risk of traction alopecia. Get filling those bags Kris. That lower workshop is looking fantastic and will look even better once that last section of wall is built up the the roof beams.
How’s the ankle holding up Kris? Hope it’s not causing you much grief. Great to see you back up and moving. Loving the updates to this project. Keep the uploads coming. 👍🏻
Really starting to see the manifestation of the Kris harbour creative magic now, great stuff Kris. As for the man bun makes you look slimmer around the chops, unless of course its just you have lost a bit of weight.
Great video! About the man bun, they can put a lot of strain on the frontmost hair folicles which speeds up a receding hairline, so some concern is due here
Great work Kris, love catching up with vlogs. You are truly inspirational ...as for your man bun, stick with it chap, you're in the same league as Keith Lemon, a true A lister. F**k the haters.
That cat looks a bit wobbly... 😁🔨📏📐 Great video! Thanks for catching us up! You've gotten quite a bit done! Before you know it you'll be spending ALL of you're spare time in you're newly finished workshop!
Digging Hoe, extremely common in Portugal (where i'm from) but extremely rare in the UK. i found a small one (1,5 ft ish) in a car boot sale once. Best tool ever for gardening, digging, etc... Welcome to my world! :) Thanks for sharing
I'm mentioning your manbun as a humorous comment Kris - but it seems you have found the ultimate pencil holder.... I always end up having to stick it behind my ear - great ingenuity
I have been doing contracting for almost 20 years now and the three things I have learned are a necessity for the job is a good pair of work boots (steel toes are good but they have their own issues), a good set of cowhide tool bags and a blue collar" man's working shirt with a left breast pocket that has a tiny slit or stich that holds a sharpie, pencil or pen. A Dickies work shirt comes to mind, they take abuse and they solve the pencil from being in your ear especially if you work in the sun where your sun glasses have your ears occupied. This prevents the need for a bun.
This looks insane, that roof pattern! Your builds are always on another level. Have you guys thought about getting a dog, would be great to see a pooch running around in the background while you work. Works for Mathew posa haha
That took some thinking about, I mean where the roof beams ended is where the back wall needed to be built up, which is where the start of the building wall of the higher building is, you clever bugger you. Well done ✔
A lightweight DIY Kris Harbour version of a geodesic dome may be just the job for your roof window. That is one impressive structure you got going there mate.
Maybe you will get a lot of comments on your man bun because we can all relate to hair choices and feel we have something to say. Neither I, nor any one I have ever met, has had to decide how to add beach pebbles to a reciprocal roof to reduce pressure on an earth bag wall. I will just accept that you are the expert in that area and sit amazed as I watch you sort it out. As to hair styles though ....
Hair looks great. Sported a man-bun myself for a while, found it endlessly useful. It used to keep two extra hair ties (for cable wraps), a Sharpie and a pencil on hand for me at all times. Got a lot of ridicule but hey, it was on my head. Literally and figuratively. Love the pebbles, great way to ensure everything ties in properly despite all being wonky. Will be nicking that one in future projects for sure. Please stop referring to the comments in your videos. Stop posting about comments. Hell, stop reading the comments. If I were you I would set up a dedicated forum elsewhere, and link that in the description of each video. That way you get the benefit of the discourse you want to see between people who understand what you're trying to do, the ability to ban the trolls, and a reason to ignore the comments without having to disable commenting. Given how frequently you reference the comments section, I would seriously consider that as an option as well. Seriously man, it's gotten to the point now where it's kinda tainting the quality of the videos whenever you react to the comments, and I for one worry about how much building and personal time you lose to this.
Here's an educational comment about man buns: "In China, the hairstyle is called niújiǎotóu (牛角头). It was a commonly used hairstyle up until the early 20th century, and can still be seen today when traditional attire is used. This hairstyle differs from the odango slightly in that it is gender neutral."
It's amazing how much you've developed. I remember the early videos showing the foundations of the roundhouse build, you were half lapping logs then sticking a screw in there, but now you've just developed into a fucking carpentry NINJA! ;-) Love the man bun btw, a man cave should have a man bun! I have one myself. :-)
Yes Kris that is one very cool roof, just wondering how much if any of the round wood beams are you gonna see from the inside, when the roof is finished, Just like it when you can see the structure from inside. Nowt wrong with yer man buns, good place for chop sticks, screw drivers etc
How do you compare, not minding sizes, building the earthbag workshop and the cord walls for the round house? That roof is huge!!! coming along nice!!!
Fantastic... I might have missed it in the video (and sorry if it was said - I'm binge watching the series)... Why are you using the stones for supports? Why aren't you just carving wood to fit with wood - either the beams that exist (so the support and the rafters marry up) or by using wooden supports? I'm a and a half year late but...Just curious.
These people making fun or making negative comments… they have nothing to offer in their tiny little worlds but you have done such an incredible series of constructions and projects which have inspired many others to consider ways in which they can reduce their effect on the natural world.
Makes me think of wicker work but on a huge scale. Looks fantastic!
You are possibly the most talented person I've ever seen.
Having said that, you can wear your hair any way you want.
Watching your video's in hindsight. Wonderful what you are creating, brilliant masterpiece! Thanks for this registration.

I like the creative solutions you use for using all the natural materials and making it strong. Oh and.....man bun.. Cheers !
Great job, what people comment about shouldn't be a concern to you that's just the way it is. Keep up the good work and the videos please
I'm planning a 24ft roundhouse and feel pretty stumped on roofing the thing. I really like how your reciprocal rafters look here. Very inspirational what you are doing here.
Just getting more and more beautiful every time.
You know I build stuff for a living, on the weekend I restore vintage stuff and yet I am fascinated by Kris's across the pond mortgage free building techniques. I got to say I think I want to try my hand at something like this and a traditional log cabin build.
She speaks!!! Great work on the workshop you guys! I want a roof like that.
Love the effect of the roofing ... reminds me of a cyclone with the eye at the centre :)
This is really getting exciting! The roof is such an artistic creation. Your vision, skill and creativity are inspiring and a joy to watch!

I have just found your RUclips sight and I can’t stop watching how creative you are! You are doing an amazing job building your future!
Great project! Been enjoying watching from the beginning! Cheers from Idaho USA!
Not long enough. Thanks 👍💪 great build and going so fast 🎩 off for how well its going all the best from 🏴
You could use a pebble and put the man bun through it. Start a new trend? Lol. Great progress on the shop!
Correct my friend it is going to be awesome.
Looks like you have been getting some fantastic weather! Great work Kris, everything is looking fantastic.
19:55 Time for the kitty kat inspection. Looking really good Kris.

Looks amazing Chris, love that portal to the sky.
How’s the ankle holding up Kris? Hope it’s not causing you much grief. Great to see you back up and moving. Loving the updates to this project. Keep the uploads coming. 👍🏻

Your artistic eye is amazing! Love what you're doing!
Quite Artistic...I Tip my Hat to You Sir
Thats a great idea with the pebble nice love the idea of that different but works 😎 looks like you had nice weather love the vids keep them coming.👍💪
Great video! About the man bun, they can put a lot of strain on the frontmost hair folicles which speeds up a receding hairline, so some concern is due here
That rafter circle looks so cool and strong!
Great work Kris, love catching up with vlogs. You are truly inspirational ...as for your man bun, stick with it chap, you're in the same league as Keith Lemon, a true A lister. F**k the haters.
It looks awesome great job ... Anyone leaving a comment about your hair is just jealous of what you have.

Wow, that roof looks awesome, and long hair looks good on you
The stone spacers are great.
Happy to see your back at it.
Love everything about your work and videos !
I'm mentioning your manbun as a humorous comment Kris - but it seems you have found the ultimate pencil holder.... I always end up having to stick it behind my ear - great ingenuity
if he puts a red or pink ribbon around it, will tie the whole outfit together! :)

All looking good , really starting to take shape now 👍
Brilliant, love how it comes together. Looks awesome.
This looks insane, that roof pattern! Your builds are always on another level. Have you guys thought about getting a dog, would be great to see a pooch running around in the background while you work. Works for Mathew posa haha
Man buns are awsome. If you have good strong hair growth then it's out duty to grow it for those who suffer with baldness
Fuck off
You've seen that receding hairline?
Better late than never, is what I always say!
We love 💕 a good Man Bun Moment... Yaaassss!!!!!!
Looking good kris. Welcome to the man bun clan. 👍✌
I do love the shape.
Nice man bun bro! 👌

The roof is looking awesome, never thought of using stones as pressure spacers on a timber structure, interesting..

Glad the foot is better 👍🏻
