Dear Ma'am Gita. I am from North India but have immense appreciation and taste for authentic South Indian food. I have consulted many RUclips channels for South Indian recipes but was not very satisfied with the tutorial videos till I happen to by chance find your tube channel. My search for more channels is over as I find your recipes simple and easy to follow with detailed video of the recipe. Thank you so much. Warm regards and Best Wishes
Madam you describe the stories so nicely that I feel like I also can see the auspicious lamp lit at the top of the hill. May all the people live in peace🙏
Wow. I am back to my childhood. My mom & my grandma use to make all this recipe . Really miss this traditional recipe. Thank you very much for bringing up them back in our lives
nice recipies. during my childhood days i remember after eating raw amla i used to sip water slowly ,....nice sweet taste we get. but now when i did the same couldnot feel that taste.
True👍🏼bevn I tried, felt same. Could b due to the crop/stock is not vry natural now a days. It's hybrid, seperately grown in crops with urea, pesticides etc. Can evn see present days- the size is also too big, juicy.. but woh mazaa bilkul nahi
Mam, I am sure you may know this recipe too, this is a simple amla recipe usually prepared during rainy season in our grandma's home now in our home too is nallika thambli. when vegetables are scarce in the field and also prevents any waterborne sickness. It's amla, green chillies, salt ( as per taste ) geera, coconut and buttermilk, all ground to paste, slightly watery than the normal chutney no heating required with thadaka of Rai, udad dal,red chilli and kadipatha, hing is optional. Normally Karnataka Brahimin family never discard any thing of any vegetables and are made thambli or koddhel.. Also thambli made of pomogranate skin, very healthy.
My amla tree this year is loaded with amlas. Thank you for sharing the various ways one can use this wonder fruit. Loved your videos. Your simplicity and charm.
Wonderful Gita Mami...Amla is indeed a wonder fruit known best for its health benefits...I was wondering about the nellika thokku that my mother in law used to prepare for us during these wintry days...It used to taste divine with curd rice..Of course I tried it several times but it never tasted as good as hers...Thank you very much for reviving my fond memories ... Regards.
Thank you so much Aunty for sharing your wisdom with us ...I wanted to introduce Amla in our daily food being a superfood and was not sure how..Its blessings to have elders like you tk learn from and pass this to our younger generation.
I always feel after watching your simple and easy recipes, that we should thank you profusely and not you..for giving us such wonderful great recipes so very useful to us and also generations to come....so ..thank you sooooo much Gita ma'am...and I am from Mysore...keep rocking maam
Hi Geeta aunty, excellent video thanks for sharing so many idea's in one video. Regarding seeds instead of throwing we just have to boil in plain water, and use the water for last rinse. 🙏👌👍💞
I have started watching your you tube channel just some days back.u r really excellent.the way you potray each dish is awesome.easily understandable.all the best.hope to see more kinds of recepies.
Thank you aunty for useful videos. I was surprised by amla and buttermilk combination, I have never heard of it(Is it good ,how many times in a day or week can we have it).
Hello Gita, this is much required immensely helpful video especially during the pandemic we are undergoing, frankly I have learnt a few easy and simple uses of Amla today, thank you. Please share more varieties as you mentioned.
Instead of boiling I pan fry wedges of anwala about 250g in extra Virgin mustard oil along with turmeric salt jeera until soft & tender to yummy product that can be used like pickle ! Like your recipes specially one with buttermilk !
Gita mam...same thought ❤️ Yesterday only i bought amla from market... True... remembering my school days too.eating & drinking water😄even my mom used to store amla like this in water mam.amla with buttermilk hearing for the first time mam...I wl make and drink at 11 pm. Hair pack is also wonderful idea mam..thank u so much gita mam. Mam...please show other ways of amla also. Waiting eagerly for it.
Nice ones👍 I liked the idea of powdering the dried amlas and using it as a hair pack👍 I use reetha and shikakai; now I will add amla powder too. Thank you for sharing😊
Pratiksha Dholakia have u seen any difference in your hair ? I have heard that pwd amla tends to make hair dry n rough so not sure how to apply in hair
@@kirannathani9123 Hello, Kiranji😊 Just add a few ( say 6to8) dried amlas alongwith shikakai pods ( about 10 pods) and reetha ( about 6 to 8) .Soak all of them together overnight. Next morning boil them well. Once a little cool, mash with your fingers, strain and use as a herbal shampoo. It's the reetha that makes the hair dry. So if you have dry hair add more shikakai and less reetha. Amlas should not cause dryness.
Very Nice 👌 I love that you told many ways to use. I always buy it then it is there in my fridge getting stale while I am confused what to do with it, how to make the family include it in diet . Sabji doesn't last long, And always making Murabba is boring as well as difficult. Thank you so so much aunty 🙏for giving out so many simple options👏love you👍
