Paper Planes at Saitama is really one-of-a-kind, it's the 1st time ever (I think) they swopped instruments in a concert, though I'm not sure whether how many days they performed at Saitama and whether they repeated that programme for that tour. And not just swopping instruments, Toru and Ryota mimicked each other's gestures too i.e. tongue hanging. And it's the 1st time they showed such a dorky, fun side on stage - usually lots of energy on stage but 1st time so much fun (Taka, Ryota and Tomoya are pretty dorky off stage too XD, Toru's the stable character). And their home stage gave them the flexibility to design unique segments. Outside of Japan, their concerts are on a smaller scale and pretty much the same format, but still, being able to see and hear Taka perform live is wonderful - OOR is great but I've got my bias ;)
... I read/heard somewhere that Taka (they) wasn't so wanting to put the song, Paper Planes, on the album but the producer pushed it. and many of their fans aren't fond of the song, either. so somewhere OOR must know the song has least favorite from their fans (maybe, even by them) and Taka in this video says "the time has come to that it is the most 'pop' time in the OOR history. you might think you have never come to OOR live this 'pop' ever before (thus Taka's leg popping up) but we couldn't have helped it just have had to make such a song anyway." (he is saying in a cute funny & kind way.) it almost was like even to upset me that they made such a ... cheesy pop song (sorry, OOR) but when I saw this video, I was reassured & amazed by their great talents to make anything great/er at live.
they do go to world tours which includes the US too but as you said going to a concert in Japan is much more fun, those concerts are not only longer but also unique in some way and its a whole different experience from concerts they held in other countries so far I wish I could afford going to one of those concerts and just rocking with the crowd
On the album, this track features Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, and honestly I really hated the song. But I have to admit I like what they did here with the performance of this song and i at least don't hate it anymore. Yesterday it was announced that OOR are opening for Linkin Park on 4 dates in USA end of July and early August.
+baek pire Thank you, I appreciate that. I'm okay with a low subscriber count for now, I'm just enjoying interacting with people from around the world. Trying to stay humble! XD
I knew you'd liked it! To be honest, theoriginal audio for this song is way autotune for me but as always, the live version is BETTER because Taka's voice is just so, so, so good! And this live is just different because you get to see how OOR are trying to reach out to their fans (interacting and so on) Don't worry. I'm sure Taka literally killed everyone when he was playing around with his voice. (I laughed so hard!)
Trust me, almost everyone lost it when they heard that part! You reaction was priceless as well~ Btw, if you're up for more reactions other than OOR, can I suggest reacting to a band called 'MY FIRST STORY'? The lead singer of that band is Taka's younger brother, Hiro! And believe me, although they almost looked like twins, Hiro's voice is very unique from Taka's! Very different but unique in a way! If you wanted to get started, you should react to MY FIRST STORY song called Last Call. There's a rumor going on that that song is a message from him to Taka but I'm not sure... And it's very sad... T^T It's just a suggestion if you're interested in knowing more rock bands in Japan~
they will perform in AP Music Awards (APMAs) this July in.... ehm sorry cant rmmber which city in the US, they are nominated for Best Breakthru too, make sure to vote for them if you havent, on the AP website
Nice little 100 subscribers doodle there in the background and congrats on 100 subs bro :D Will look forward to your one ok rock reactions as always ;) also this performance was amazing especially how they're got the crowd pumped up and join all together.
+Nozomi39H Thank you! These are my favorite types of performances. The artists interacting with the audience and making them a part of the show. This is why I NEED to go to one of their live shows! XD
No hablo tu idioma pero te escribo igual .Me parecen muy naturales y sentidas tus reacciones. Transmites sinceridad y alegría. Felicidades. Ya estoy suscrita.
+Rienne Koh Yeah, I had to take it down. It was blocked in all countries :( I'm wondering if that's going to be the case for his cover of Pillow Talk as well
Thank you for 100 subscribers! Also, Taka had me tearing up with laughter XD
+Kosaki Ciel I'm so glad you've been enjoying my reactions! Thank you! I'll be sure to add that one to my list :D
