  • This cool little torch is awesome for its price, you can fill it with ordinary butane gas, and flame gets really hot, it doesnt have any problem heating steel ball to a red hot danger hazard :)

      Your tests are simple and easy. Soldering can also be done with a weak lighter This is done by elementary school children

      well then why demo doing it then? the nozzle clogs really fast. That's because of poor design. this is only alternative www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sievert-Turbojet-Single-Burner-360-Swivel-Torch/131990958284?_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1&_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D43782%26meid%3D8e4136af95364dd6ae46276a34ff2680%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D131990959785

      Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, you're right, it seems that the jet must be clean after 2 or 3 sessions. I'll go for jet butane lighter.

    I have a few pencils torches that just make a huge flame like a flame thrower can I fix this mayby by changing the tips and if that's how can I use tips from different kinds or does it have to be the same kind thinks

    • @TauCu
      @TauCu 7 лет назад

      Oh, I'm not sure if you still have this problem, But with the torch i have, You can remove and take apart the jet assembly by pulling the brass sleeve off of it, Don't use excessive force though...
      And then just clean anything out, Also, Make sure not to Overfill the torch with butane, or it will flare up, Just like if a BBQ were to run on Liquid. You can fix that by just letting it burn if that is the case.

    How long can this remain lit at a stretch without overheating the nozzle? How long does one charge of gas last?

    • @DIYGarageProjects
      @DIYGarageProjects  4 года назад

      I wouldnt recomend this product since it clogs up alot, but when i used it it didnt overheat after 10mins of use

    • @deejay5493
      @deejay5493 4 года назад

      @@DIYGarageProjects Yes, I read that in the comments, but I'm just looking to use it as a one-time solution for replacing just one SMD component on my old PC motherboard. The component to be replaced is located in a low-density section of the PCB, so I'm not concerned about overheating any adjoining components. This is the cheapest ESD safe method I can use. What say?

    • @DIYGarageProjects
      @DIYGarageProjects  4 года назад

      Sound interesting, usualy they use hot air, i would like to see that, if you decide to try it, could you make a video and post a link here?

    • @deejay5493
      @deejay5493 4 года назад +1

      @@DIYGarageProjects Yup, they do. But it doesn't make sense to invest in a hot-air rework station JUST to solder a dislodged SMD component. I'll'' give it a whack and will try to make/share a video. :-)
