The creators certainly wanted him to not be sympathic.
Nothing was more important than whatever he wanted at the time and his "morality" was non-existent.

Great content and analysis that's a legit peer to The Vile Eye's content. Keep the videos coming.

He may be the most Vile Mob Boss put to the screen. He was even written to be even more vile but it was toned down a little.

We need a prequel with young Costello and Queenan. On a side note, are you familiar with the channel Analyzing Evil?

That prequel would be a great watch for sure! The Vile Eye? That’s a great channel, the guy is a real wordsmith.

@@inthemindofavillain Oh yeah. I love his videos, especially the one he made on Palpatine. You should do a video on Le Chiffre from the 2006 James Bond film, Casino Royale.

@@inthemindofavillain Since you're familiar with The Vile Eye, I was wondering if you could do me a favor and do an episode for 2 movie villains The Vile Eye has not done (yet):
      Christian Szell from Marathon Man
and David Kleinfeld from Carlito's Way.

Great movie, and Costello is a true sociopath. Played with the eccentric genius of Jack.
